"This has been the worst internet purchase I have ever made. The product I ordered was received with an area damaged by a boxcutter. I returned the item as directed by Hosfelt. I have now paid to ship to my home and send back a damaged item. Hosfelt only would refnd the item price of $6.99 however shipping was approximately $16.00 to send and ship back. Hosfelt customer service told me that they cut off the name of the manufacturer so they can sell the item cheaper. Since the item worked they would not refund any shipping costs. The fact that they cut up their products is not disclosed on their website. Finally when you order, no ship cost is disclosed. You only know what has been charged when you receive the item. Based on how other internet retailers handel returns this place sucks.

"I ordered 14 5mm red LCDs and 6 5mm blue LCDs to use in a stereo VU Meter. The website was nicely laid out, the choices immense, and the pricing was very cheap!

I received the product nicely packed, the LCDs in separate bags and clearly labeled, with a copy of the bill of sale and the slip when they ran my card. I am very impressed, and will be using them for my future electronics modding supplies."

"I purchased a Infocus LCD projector from Tracy off eBay. The projector worked for a few days, crashing every half hour or so (never using a LCD projector I thought it was just over heating and had to let it cool down). After the third day the projector died.

Sent numerous emails requesting help or a refund, she states "Wanted to return 80 days later. Unreasonable. We are not a rental center.", which is a lie. Within a week of having serious problems I got in touch with her.

She told me the projector was as-is and there was nothing she was going to do about it.

The auction states the projector was pulled from working condition, but after taking it to a authorized Infocus service center I was told that to have the projector repaired it would cost $2,000. The power supply and controller board need to be replaced.

She also posts in my "eBay Feedback":
"His user name tells you everything. Beware!"
-- Now I'm not sure what this is supposed to mean... Everyone has the right to use the user name of their choice and has no right to slander me online. As of January 1999 I have received 1 Negative Feedback which was resolved outside of eBay.

She also states "Beware!"
-- You received your money, I received projector that was defective from the start.

People should be cautious when buying from these people, 10 Negative Feedbacks, 9 Neutrals and climbing on eBay, very rude and unhelpful.

"I ordered 7 blue LEDs from Hosfelt on a Friday late at night. Not only were they shipped same day (Since late nights count as next day business, in this case Monday), but they got here on Wednesday. Very fast, perfectly packaged, the lights are just as specified. Very good pricing and fast shipment, highly recommended."

"I needed a bunch of long video cables for multi-camera coverage of a robot competition. These guys had the best prices out there, so I ordered a bunch of them. After submitting their web order form, I realized that there was no shipping choice (I wanted 2-day shipping), and the fine print said to order by 800 number if you wanted different shipping. It was after they had closed for the day so the 800 number didn't help. I fired them a quick email explaining my situation, and a few days later my complete shipment arrived having been upgraded to 2-day as I had wanted. (Another company I ordered from at the same time didn't even get my shipment out a week later). With this kind of service I will definitely order from Hosfelt again."
