"After my order was done and confirmed by Horticulture Source at 23 Sept. I got email that 1 pint bottles now out of stock and I can cancel order or wait untill 14 of October (which means 3 week waiting). I think that company can work on their site and add option "out of stock" as many internet shops do. In this case customers will get what they expect. "
“All items are assumed to be in stock unless otherwise indicated. Sometimes an order comes in before another which wipes out the remaining inventory. So while an item may be in stock when you place your order by the time shipping gets to filling your order the warehouse may run out. Should an ordered item become unavailable you will be notified and it will be back ordered to ship upon arrival (unless of course you want to cancel). As soon as we become aware of the unavailability of an item we will update the item with an estimated availability date.”

“This order shipped out on 9/17/2013 (on the 2nd business day after we got the order) via the shipping method paid for: USPS Standard Post. We have no control over how quick the USPS Standard Post takes. Priority Mail for example would have gotten there quicker. Please note we do also offer Next Day, 2nd Day and 3 day shipping options.”
"The package came quicker than I thought it would come. The knives were a better quality and wonderful packaging. We were very pleased with the knives. The shipping: I had requested the package be brought to our home (through the closed gate). My only "negative" comment (sorry) was that the deliverer hung the package of knives on the fence in a SafeWay bag and, if I had not been coming home, I would not have known they had arrived. Since this is during harvest time, I don't go out the gate every day so the knives could have been up there for several days or, someone could have come by and they could have been taken. But, all in all, the bottom line is that the knives, which I purchased from USISU were much nicer than I expected. Thank you. (the shipper--not you--is responsible for how the package was delivered and if I receive a survey from them, I will let them know that the package did arrive but the deliverer did not bring the package to our home as requested)."
"I had a mixed experience with Horticulture Source.When I first contacted them, the HS rep was extremely helpful and polite. Through the whole process, I was blown away by his friendliness, willingness to answer questions, time spent making suggestions and working with me to determine what was needed. I chose to buy from HS specifically because of this level of customer service.Upon checkout I noticed an extremely high shipping rate. I asked about it, but they said that was the current rate. I'm not sure if I believe that, but upon checking Amazon I noticed that HS was cheaper for some of my items even taking Amazon's free shipping into account. It was then that I realized how impressive their pricing really was, beating out just about everything I found online.That's where it turned South. I'm building a terrarium with a number of plants that require dormancy. I was excited, checking the mail every day just to get it all up and running the second I could. Besides my excitement, it was critical that I get the plants in with enough time to spare to see to their dormancy needs.I received my tracking information FOURTEEN days later, and then still had to wait for the items to come in. That was bad enough, but then, on the NINETEENTH day after my order I received an email saying shipping was actually $4 more than expected and they asked if I wanted to pay it for the other half of my order. I was livid, and may have used the terms "bait and switch" and "lawyer" in my email; I don't quite remember. They offered to pay for the remainder and ship it out, which they did.In the end it took over a full month for my order to be delivered without any notification that processing would be that slow. As a result, I've had to push back this project almost six months because it's now too late in the year. They seemed oblivious to the incredibly high value time has; perhaps they're owned by immortals...So to sum up, they were very helpful and polite and offered great pricing, though the latter was offset somewhat by their shipping costs. But between their misconception that it's okay to hold an order for hostage after paid for (it's never acceptable), and the inability to plan around receipt of the items, I don't think I will ever be ordering from there again. Predictability, especially in business, underpins everything. We, all of us, have enough unpredictable responsibilities to deal with in life without one more item added to the multi-page todo list."
"My experience with the company was abysmal. I do not believe an extra fee is warranted because this was a small order (only $15) yet they charged one. I waited more than a week even after paying for priority mail and when it came, it was absolutely the wrong thing. Suffice it to say, it has not been replaced after literally a dozen emails back and forth. Their policy is to make me wait, in this case forever, for them to bother to ask their warehouse if indeed they shipped the wrong item, then after 4 days they want me to wait to receive a physical return authorization (I cannot imagine such as thing couldn't have been emailed) and actually, this never arrived apparently because of problems with the courier. They wouldn't refund my card because I can't return the wrong item and they wouldn't ship the correct item because they can't get the wrong item back. People- this is a $15 item! Maybe the purchasers in the high rollers' club get better service but I got pretty darn sick of hearing "we can't, its not our policy, we're sorry BUT". "
“This was ordered on Saturday 8/24/2013, shipped on Monday 8/26/2013 and was delivered on 8/28/2013 (we are closed on weekends and the shipment only took 3 days). As soon as we found out about the issue we setup a return and a prepaid UPS return label 1Z9971772656231147 which we emailed. UPS tried to pickup the item three times and nothing was returned. Per our shipping & returns policy we require a return in order to send a replacement.”
