"Having ordered from Hobbytron before and getting great prices & service I was surprised at all the negative comments. This time I was really shocked at response using the automated inform and reply features of the web page. I finally ran out of patience and called customer service to discover the automated responses were not monitored!! Replies only go back to the computer!! Customer service, though was great! Got my order changed to in "in-stock item" [one of mine was out of stock, delay anticipated], upgraded shipping, and sent out next day at no increased cost. One item arrived damaged, I called cust service, was immediately helped, replacement sent out that day. My experience, excellent customer service, great product, good price, bad web-site response. Will continue to use, and reccomend others."

Use this store as often as you like, but be prepared to KNOW exactly what you are ordering, because they will definately ship you what you order, and they carry a mix of HORRIBLE choices as well as some truely outstanding items without the resources to guide customers to the right places.
My Experience:
I bought around 200 bucks of Airsoft guns. (Several guns, so yes, they were low quality but that was exactly what I wanted... VERY LOW power, light and simple guns that were at least not CLEAR like the Wal-mart varieties...)
The order shipped and shipped fast. Everything I ordered came just fine despite 4 of the items being "Limited Quantity / Close-Out deals"
All of the items except one GREATLY exceeded the quality I was expecting!
The lowest price gun I bought was $7.50. (I was expecting nothing short of a rubber pistol replica, but it worked and was managable by my kids. The laser even worked though only accurate about 60% of the time.)
The highest priced gun I ordered was $31.95. It was a well detailed Sniper rifle based on the PSG1. It is fairly sturdy, but not very well machined. (Still had flashing on several areas of the gun...)
I accomplished my mission, and learned quite alot about Airsoft from Hobbytron. After seeing the bad reviews I called their customer support and got someone in two rings... I also sent an email with a general question and got an answer late that same day.
I will definately be ordering more Airsoft from Hobbytron again!
If you are considering this, there are a few brands I would look for...
High End - JG (Jin Gong) or GB (Golden Bow) - These are metal gearbox weapons identical to the $300-$500 TM varieties. Expect $90-150 for these which is a steal!
Low End - I trust the CYMA manufacturer the best. Their electric guns are in the $25-35 range, and I have not seen a truely bad one yet. They have plastic gearboxes, but are otherwise sturdy guns.
I would stay away from others, as unless you KNOW what to expect, you will be sorely dissapointed! Since they're a warehouse, don't count on their advice too much."
"This company may have had some problems in the recent past, but I wanted to put in my good words for them. I placed an order for some cheap airsoft guns to use as movie props and was surprised at the low priced shipping. After I placed the order I found this site and was a little worried but at the most I stood to lose about $60. Instead I received my package in excellent condition and ahead of the scheduled delivery time. All the guns were new in sealed packages and I guess they work fine, like I said I was only interested in them as props. Usually no one leaves feedback if they have been treated well, but I felt that HobbyTron deserved some kudos for my order."
"I ordered two small rc boats: a mini pirate boat and a mini submarine. they were each under 8 dollars (very small items, fun for the pool). the site was informative and easy to navigate. my stuff shipped the next day and i got it within the week. both of the toys worked just fine. i'm not sure if they did this on purpose or not, but both of the toys were on different frequencies so they can be used together.
i know this was a small order, but everything went smoothly for me and i wouldn't mind using them again."
