"To add to the unhappy experiences list...

I received a Pico2, styled to look like PicoZ on the packaging, from hobbytron.com. Besides being an obvious fake, it is also defective, with the motor frequently cutting off after a few seconds of flight and requiring a flick of the fingers to the tail rotor to get it started again. This is even before the first crash. Crashes are, of course, very common when the motor shuts off mid-air.

I have contacted them via email for a refund, but that was only an hour ago so I have not received a response."

"I placed an order in early December, in time for Christmas delivery. I got an email confirmation and an email confirming that the shipment would take place and that "hobbytron" was working to ensure that all packages were delivered, even on the 24th of December but to be "rest assured" i would get my package. Nothing arrived. I didn't get an email or phone call notifying me that it was not being shipped. The day before Christmas, I logged on to find out my order was still in "processing" status, had not been shipped, however, the company had charged my credit card earlier in the month! In addition, I have sent four emails to their "customer service" email address and have been trying to get thru on their busy number. No return calls have been made nor a return email. I just was able to get thru to a recording that now states the company is closed until JANUARY 3rd and now I have to wait another five days to find out where the heck this order is. My grandson is departing my home tomorrow, and is leaving without his main Christmas gift from me. This is the WORST customer service I have ever recieved from a company and will never do business with them again. I suggest anyone reading this review think twice about ordering. I plan to call my credit card company tomorrow and ask them to reverse the charges for this order. I don't want to be charged for something that has not been shipped or delivered."

"This store is unbelievable. Ordered product on Sunday with 2 day shipping. Emailed on Monday stating I needed it shipped out asap to arrive on Friday.

No response from several emails. Hung up on 3 times when called. Try them.. just call and someone will pick up and say "Please hold" and never come back. You don't even have to say anything.

10 days later the item arrives and I find out they charged for 2-day shipping, but shipped using 3 day select UPS.

I will never order from this company again. Believe the reviews..."

"11/29/07 Placed order for 5 RC toys $110 total. Pay Pal & Hobbytron confirmed receipt of the order. CREDIT CARD WAS CHARGED!

11/30/07 Received notice that order is on backorder and should ship w/i 5 - 10 business days. Items back ordered were dump truck and loader

12/13/07 Not having heard anything from Hobbytron, Sent E-mail and was told order should ship “sometime next week.” Called Hobbytron and was told they guarantee Christmas delivery and if I do not receive a tracking number by Monday to call back.

12/14/07 Received 2 e-mails re Fedex tracking number nnn060 and Fedex tracking number nnn053.

12/21/07 Two packages arrived. Tracking number ending with 053 contained the “back ordered” Dump Truck, tracking number ending with 060 the “back ordered” front end loader. No sign of the three original items or the “free gift” for using pay pal. Called customer service. Got a recoding that they are closed until Noon Dec 27! Sent E-mail requesting they ship other items as promised.

12/25/07 Christmas was kinda quiet as the grand kids looked at screen shots of toys Grandma & Grandpa wanted to give them. Registered dispute with Paypal. Granson who got the truck and loader was happy but I am inimpressed with quality of the idems. NO instructions shoddy stuff.

1/9/08 After waiting over 2 weeks recieded communication via Paypal that Hobbytron will not chaarge me for the items I did not receive. Not a word as to why gifts were not shipped comments are simply “The three items did not ship and that was our error. but the three items total $69.87 and I will refund that.”

Will never order from Hobbytron again! I will check site such as this before I shop on line"

"purchased a extra large helicopter.pulled it out of the box looked awesome.thought I would try it in the house as it is to cold outside where I live.fired it up to set trim as the book says.ran less than a minute started to make grinding sound.turned it off and could see the lower blade gear lost teeth???right out of the box no flying period.contacted company gave me a return number. took it to ups they want 50 dollars to ship item back plus pay again to ship back to me.why would anybody spend that much on shipping??? try to call customer service. what a joke???? if they want to make this issue right with me I would be more than happy to write a better review.but at this point I feel like I got screwed big time...... something you need to think about before ordering from them dont stand behind what they sell?????????"

"bought a nitro rc car for 199 dollars. spent more on oils fuel ignitor etc. the car ran through 2 tanks of gas then on the 3rd tank it stalled and would never start again company won't refund because it was'nt defective out of the box. the company won't return phone calls to maybe help me discover what is wrong with car"

"This has got to be the WORST company, EVER. We ordered an airsoft gun, that cost 35$, plus 10.51 for shipping. It was an M16, i believe, but i know it had 200-225 fps shooting. After waiting 4 days for them to ship it, we called. The first time we called, they hadnt shipped it, then we called again, about 2 hours later, and they had just shipped it! it was like we reminded them to do their job. it finally arrived, a week later (although that was fedexs fault, it sat at their site for 5 days)and it wasnt even what we ordered! it was an "upgrade", which i guess to hobbytron means, a screw them. it was cheaper, literally, looked more like a toy than we ordered, and it only had 140 fps shot! we called and said we wanted what we ordered, but were told we should be happy with what we got, it was an upgrade. we were told to try it, and if we didnt like it, send it back. their return policy states that if you use it, you cant return it, so we didnt, we asked for the manager, and got BECKY. your screwed if you talk to her. she told us the same thing. so we tried it, hated it, wouldnt work right, then broke, and called back. we called again. talked to becky. she said, and i will quote, "fine then, throw it away and well give you your money back within 24-48 business hours." and then hung up on us!!! its now been 4 business days, and nothing. tried calling again, and, not at all to our surprise, got her voice mail. PEOPLE, DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!! THEY SELL CRAP!!!"

"WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! We ordered an Air Soft gun which did not work. After much difficulty, finally got RMA number. Replacement did not work. Company refused refund and person at company hung up on me when I was talking to her. Will not send second RMA number and says to talk to manufacturer. Manufacturer says to deal with Hobbytron. This company is awful!! Filed BBB complaint."

"Prior to my order, I had a technical question that was never answered because Hobbytron never answered the phone, called back or returned my e-mails. I finally gave up and ordered anyway. When my package arrived, The wrong gun & BB's were sent. The battery was also the wrong size. I am very disappointed with Hobbytron and would not recommend them. "

"These people are dishonest. PERIOD! If you have received a shipment with concealed damage or wrong item shipped, CALL YOUR CREDIT CARD VENDOR IMMEDIATELY and protest the charge. Their return policy is a threatening sham, they do not answer their phones except for voice messages and their web site keeps changing. The only number they now show is a fax number. You can fill in the rest of the blanks"
