"If I can prevent anyone from making the same mistake I did then this review will be worth it. I purchased outdoor curtains for use in the summer/2012 season for $240.00. 4 out of the 8 panels turned an ugly rust color from their original mint green within 6 weeks and I have an average amount of sun in my yard. These curtains were MADE for and outdoor gazebo and they are now totally useless to me. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT. When I complained to customer service I was told that I was no longer eligible for a refund, discount or exchange. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!"
"Purchased 2 mantels from this company. 1st one was defective and returned. 2nd one, product says made from choi WOOD,it's actually veneer! Which is falling apart after being up about 1 month. Since the 30 window is passed, they will do NOTHING about it. Georgous stuff online, NOT in person."
"we ordered a product on fitnessequipementexpress.com which is a hayneedle company, the product was the best priced we could find, i placed the order on jan.31, rec'd a confirmation email that same day, with the rec'd shipping date to be by feb.7th which was perfect as it was to be a gift for a b-day on the 15th, on the 1st of feb. i rec'd a delay in shipping, their supplier would not have it in stock until feb.20th, so i immediately called their customer service number listed on website, talked to andrew, who said no problem he would order the cancellation and send me a confirmation code, feb. 2nd, just as a follow up i emailed asking when i would rec. the cancellation confirmation email, soon rec'd a reply from another customer service person stating she could see the cancellation request and reassured i would rec. the cancel confirm. email soon, on the 3rd i sent yet another asking for the cancellation email to be sent and asked for a difinitive date i would rec. that cancellation code, the customer service rep replied that i would have it by the following monday (which was the next day) and if not to please let them know, monday came and went, so on tuesday a.m. i sent an email telling them i wanted the confirmation code to be emailed to me, and that i was going to contact paypal to cancel the transaction there, i THEN rec'd an email stating sorry they could not cancel because their supplier had sent the equipement on feb. 1st, so i immediately called them and told them that i would not rec. the equipement, i had cancelled the order on feb 1st because they said it was backordered, i was going to refuse the shipment and it would be returned to them, the customer service rep. said whatever, you will pay for it anyway. so i called paypal, the paypal rep told me that the payment was still listed as pending, and they don't release the funds until a tracking number is sent to them so they believed that it HAD NOT been shipped, they told me to refuse the shipment and it would be sent back to the seller at the sellers expense. i went to hayneedles track your order site, and as of today feb. 6th it is still listed as backordered, and paypal still has it at pending. NEVER ORDER FROM ANY HAYNEEDLE STORE< THEY SAY THEY ARE ONE OF THE INTERNETS BEST RETAILERS, can you say FIASCO!!!!!"
"Beware these people do not communicate very well!They sent me an email saying:"Your order #1234, placed at a Hayneedle store, has been cancelled due to a problem processing a payment."I called and the rep said there was a problem with my billing address. I reordered with a different credit card.The order was canceled again with the same message:"Your order #1234, placed at a Hayneedle store, has been cancelled due to a problem processing a payment."I called again and they said they have a [secret- not stated on their websight] policy against shipping to motels [I'm staying at a motel for a month.]I reordered through Amazon... no problems with the motel address."
"Not happy. They advertise...."easy returns."It's no easier than any other store. You still have to pay for shipping to return. Not worth it. Amazon still rules. I think hayneedle will save a little on return shipping , but will lose a lot later when no one shops through them......."
"Ordered the product on Dec 9 when they promised to ship within 1 day; today on Dec 13 I recieved an automated call from PilotDelivers and they asked me to call them to schedule the delivery time which is kind of strange. They only have delivery slot available next Friday which Dec 21 or Dec 28th. I was expecting to deliver it much faster as Amazon and other sites were shipping it within 24 hrs and they were delivering it much quicker. Will not order again on Hayneedle. Their customer service is junk and not helpful at all."
"I decided to write a review for this company since there seems to be so many negatives and I almost didnt purchase from them because of it. I didnt have much of a choice since they were 1 of the few where I could find the wine cooler I was looking for. I was very skeptical but the order process was very easy and I was able to find a coupon code for the company. I placed the order Thurs. 11/29/12 and received order confirmation right away. Received a shipping confirmation by the next day and received the product Tues. 12/4/12. It was a decent price and am very happy with my purchase so far though I never had to contact the company about anything. This is a Xmas gift and I prefer not to unpackage the whole thing to make sure its functioning properly but they say they have a 30 day return policy."
"My worst online shopping experience ever.I placed an order and got it confirmed. Nothing happened afterthat and I had to contact "customer service" to find out thatapparently there was a discrepancy with my credit card information. The person promised to resubmit the order after back checking with the accounting department and to call and confirm within one business day - again, nothing happened. I needed this particular item and called again to redo the order -wonderful, it will work now - so I thought.The person taking the order put in the wrong delivery address!"Customer Service" told me that they might be able to fix it but maybe not, that it was best for me to contact FedEx. The tracking number I was given was wrong. After all this hassle the item finally arrived and was luckily ok.I can only imagine what kind of a horror it would be to return an item to this outfit. "
"I ordered a safey gate for my grandchild, and after installing it, it was way to flimsy to be safe. Plus it wasn't user friendly. I returned the item and it cost me $22.00 to return the item and hayneedle.com was unwilling to give any cash back towards the shipping fees. The item cost was $47.00."
"Ordered a set of binoculars for my son for stargazing through binoculars.com- a hayneedle store. Afterwards saw a lot of negative reviews about hayneedle not delivering. Either they have improved or no one bothers to write positive reviews. The items ordered were delivered as promised and it was literally 3 days from order to my doorstep. So, the takeaway: most likely a site is worth trying unless they have 100s of neg reviews- since no one wants to bother complaining they got good service! Thanks to hayneedle for saving me at least 50 or more bucks on this purchase!"
"Please stay away from these crooks!!! I ordered something, it never arrived... I called 2 weeks later to check on it and they claimed my bank declined the transaction. I asked why no one ever called me about it. They couldn't explain. This company is disgustingly shady. Their "supervisor" basically told me to shove it. They have had 144 complaints with the BBB... BUYER BEWARE!!"
"I ordered 2 end tables. The price was good and the items were delivered via FedEx with no problems. I ordered the tables on Saturday and received them Wednesday morning. The email I got confirming shipment of the tables preceded delivery by minutes!"
"I ordered a drafting stool a couple of weeks ago, and was told it would arrive on the 18th. On the 23rd, I contacted them, and was told they have no idea why, but it was never shipped out. They had plenty in stock, and they should have shipped over a week ago. No apology, just "we will ship one, you'll see it in about a week and a half." ...I've already waited a week and a half. When I asked if they were going to do anything to compensate me, I was told no. So I told them never mind, to cancel the order. They shipped it anyway, and expect me to pay for return shipping. I will NEVER use them again, and I suggest you don't either. By the way, it is now the 25th, and I still have no stool."
"the WORST customer service!! I placed an order, received a confirm #, a FedEx shipping # and an est date of arrival, all lies!! Days after placing my order i received another email now stating my order had been cancelled and the item was not in stock. I contacted customer ser. and spoke with a woman who was absolutely rude from the get-go. No apology, no real explanation for how this happened just, RUDE. Will never use this website again!! And I suggest , if you actually want to receive your item, u don't either."
"I ordered an entertainment center from Hayneedle and 3 major parts came in completely broken. I have been calling them for over a month and they keep telling that they are trying to track the vendor down to see if the vendor can replace the parts. I have called over 7 times and it’s the same answer “Sorry mam we are still waiting on the vendor, there is nothing we can do at this time”. I ASKED IF THEY CAN REFUND MY MONEY FOR THE BROKEN PARTS AND THEY OFFERED ME $40, $40!!!! I PAID $1500 FOR THE CENTER! Are you kidding me? DON’T BUY FROM THIS MERCHANT!!!"
