"SCAM...SCAM...SCAM!!! I like many of you on here found out way too late that this company is a BIG scam. After days of talking with my bank and The Better Business Bureau I finally found this company's info to file a formal complaint. I encourage all of you to take the five minutes to file a complaint with BBB. The adress is www.greensboro.bbb.org/. When you click on file a complaint type in "my 1 mag" if you look at your credit card statement that is the name of the company that took your money. You will see thae name of the company and the address pop up. I am over the $35.00...at this point I want these people to be caught and punished!!! If you need more info please let me know and I will contact you!
**********UPDATE********* 12/12/2006 Today I received a letter from the Better Business Bureau stating that they had contacted this company and that they had agreed to refund my money. To my surprise, I checked my account today and my money was refunded!! So I encourage all of you to contact the BBB to make a complaint to stop these people and to get your money back!! "

"I, too, bought before I read reviews. PLEASE don't buy from this company. They ripped me off for a relatively small amount, but looks like several others have been ripped off for much more. "
"This is Joel Simkhai the owner of MagsForLess. Please email me directly at owner@magsforless.com if you have any open issues. I will make sure that your issue is resolved to your satisfaction.
"The day after my original post, I contacted the owner at the email listed in his post on this page. SEE BELOW Within a few hours, I received an email from kim@magsforless.com. She promised she'd fix it or refund my money...AND SHE DID. I recieved a full refund within 24 hours to my paypal account(even though I got 1 subscription) . My order was 6 months ago and they fixed it!!!!! I suggest everyone here get their order number and email kim@magsforless.com or owner@magsforless.com. This company and half priced mags are owned by the same people. I am amazed. I want everyone else to get their money back like I did. ------------------------------------------------ I ordered magazines in 2005 and everything was fine, I ordered in 2006 and I was double billed. I contacted the company and got it fixed with moderated difficulty, then the same year the issues took forever to start. Then, against my better judgment I ordered 3 subscriptions. It took 3 months, but I finally received 1 (Reader's Digest). I have seen nothing of the other 2 and its been 6 months. There is no way to contact this company now while in the past there was. Their "ticket" process is a joke. If you can figure out how to get in, they never answer. There's even a ticket history page where you can see all the emails you sent that didn't get a response. It's like its specifically designed to laugh in your face. Does someone over there at half priced mags get a cheap thrill out of making poor consumers chase around? The deal is too good to be true folks! Save yourself a huge headache and don't order from them."

"Purchased a weekly magazine subscription as "New Subscription" although it was a renewal. The order reads "weekly subscriptions start within three to six weeks." After 10 weeks (and repeated prompts from magazine for renewal, I emailed Half Price Mags to see where my subscription was. This letter stated "it can take up to 20 weeks to receive your first issue." I should have paid more and just renewed with the publisher."

"VERY DISHONEST and I just found out they are the same people behind MagsForLess.com. I ordered a 1 yr sub. to the magazine "Entertainment Weekly" .They charged me but I never received any issues. They told me it's up to me to contact the publisher and that they MAY help me. They told me to go to www.publist.com to find the publisher. I wrote them back and told them that since they took my money, it was up to them to follow through and either get me the magazine or refund my money. They have not replied to my last 2 contacts. I am filing a dispute with my credit card. BUYER BEWARE."

"In August of 2005 I renewed 3 (THREE) magazines thru HalfPricedMags.com whose subscriptions were going to end in Dec. 05. Since then I emailed and left messages to HalfPriced. When I finally got a reply they told me to call the magazines directly, which I did. The magazines told me they had NEVER received the renewals from HalfPriced. As far as I'm concerned, this website is a big scam! DO NOT renew thru them!"
"I ordered a subscription to People magazine on March 18, 2006 As of this date I have not received a single issue. The website has no phone number to contact. I have emailed five times and have never received a response. This company is definitly a fraud and they should be investigated."
"Do not order from them. I placed my order on June 23. It is now Aug 22nd , and I still have not received my magazines. when I looked at my order last month the account said my magazines would arrive by the 18th of this Month. Now my order says that my magazines could arrive between the 8/18 and 9/15."
"I placed an order for Real Simple magazine on February 21, 2006. After three months, I did not receive my first issue so I tried to contact halfpricedmags.com. They do not list a phone number on the site, so I sent a message through their customer service web form as well as e-mailing questions@halfpricedmags.com. The e-mail went unanswered, and not *all* my messages via web form received an answer. They claimed that the publisher did not process their order.
I went ahead and filed a complaint with the New York Better Business Bureau because according to the Whois info, the domain was registered to a NYC address. Halfpricedmags.com did not respond to BBB's attempts to contact them and the BBB had no choice but to close my case.
I contacted halfpricedmags.com for the final time through their web form demanding a refund and they never responded or issued a refund. I have filed a complaint against them with the Federal Trade Commission and will file one with the New York Attorney General's office.
If you've been ripped off by this company, please take the time to file complaints online:
