"I ordered a Fuji camera on 8/13 and immediately received email confirmation asking me to call to confirm my order. I did and the salesman then tried to tell me the batteries that come with the camera can't be used and I needed to buy NiMH batteries or the camera won't work. I insisted that I did NOT need to buy the batteries so he tried to sell me an overpriced warranty but would not tell me where I could read the terms and conditions of the warranty before purchasing so I declined. He said the camera would be shipped immediately. Today - 6 days later - when I called for a status, same guys says "I'm getting ready to ship it now, but you forgot to buy the batteries"! Go through this again, THEN he asks me why I didn't buy the US model which he can sell me for $349 (instead of the $189 listed on the website) and won't tell me where on the website it says anything about the camera I'm ordering being a foreign model without a manufacturers warranty, just that it "clearly states this in HIS policy" and won't tell me where that is either. I told him to cancel the order. I'm beginning to doubt these people even have any cameras to ship! "

"Placed order for nice pentax digital camera, waited and waited, did not realize that I had to call to confirm . This is were they scam you . I called first thing they asked for was my security code from CC . As soon as he had that he said I needed to order the battery for camera and he would do that for 189.00 , this made his great deal on the camera more expensive than most retailers and HD Camera World does not include a USA warranty. Credit card companies and consumers should shut these people down"

"As you have probably read by now this company is crap. As for their "50% cancellation fee" over the phone I think I found a loophole. If you hang up on them, go back to the website and cancel the order online, removing all of your credit card information, there is no evidence of a fee. I have been checking my credit card online every day now because I plan to sue their pants of if I find a charge since no where online does it warn you about a cancellation fee and I have pictures of the screens during the process. If you have ordered a product from them CANCEL BEFORE IT SHIPS! "

"I ordered a gps from them and got the confirmation email with a request to "call to confirm". when i did so, the sales person tried to upsell me with an exhorbitant 3 yr warranty and maps. i know from researching the product the maps would be updated by the mfgr for free and told them so, i did take the 3 yr warranty but at a much more reasonable price than they offered it for. they did ship a brand new unit althought somehow forgot the warranty and charged an addt'l $18 for shipping above what was stated on their order confirmation - said it was insurance. uh huh, i ship packages to customers and know better. not sure i'd order from them again. we'll see how long it takes to get the warranty - also the shipping label says it's from simon silver, megawholesale out of brooklyn ny,"

"Ordered a Garmin GPS via Internet because of lowest price. The P.O. statement asks me to call the company to validate the order; this is a warning sign. Indeed, nothing was done until I called. The salesperson tried to up-sell me a $50 map upgrade saying that the maps in the GPS are two years old. I declined the offer. The salesperson was not happy (no commission?) Then I found out that it would take 2 weeks to backorder the GPS, despite the website saying that it was still in stock. This could be a way to get customers to cancel the order for not being a sucker. I thought Garmin has a policy of providing customers 30 days to obtain free map upgrades upon product registration. "

"I ordered a camcorder from this company on a Sunday and immediately received a confirmation email from them. However, down at the very bottom of the page, it tells you to call to confirm your order. When I called the next day, the person who answered tried to sell me all kinds of accessories which I did not want. Then, I was told the camera was on backorder and that they did not know when it would be in stock. I cancelled my order but never got an email confirmation of the cancellation.

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY OR YOU WILL BE SORRY."

"HD Camera World is an unscrupulous organization that cheats its customers. I placed my Canon camera order through the company's web site and received a confirmation message asking me to call their number to confirm the order. I was placed on hold and was obliged to wait a very long time before a salesperson responded. The salesperson attempted to sell me additional equipment, including a Canon battery, which was not included in the price quoted online. When I protested, he offered various lower prices and component packages. When I attempted to cancel the order, he said that the company would charge my credit card 50 per-cent of the order to cancel. When he summarized the order, he included an additional charge for insurance that I had not ordered and that was not mentioned on the web site. He also added the final total incorrectly in the company's favor.

The shipment arrived missing a necessary multimedia card. The battery and battery charger sent are cheap generic products, not Canon. The Canon camera uses four standard AA batteries. My letter to the company has not been answered. I will never do business with this company again. "

"Ordered a Garmin Nuvi 760 and stated I needed to call them to confirm the order. Told me that my Garmin had maps from 2005 and that should upgrade to 2008. I told them I thought you could do this for free and they told me you needed to order them. Also, tried to upsell me on Warranty. After coming across this site, I now know that I should not have ordered from them. Do Not order from them!"

"These people are CROOKS!!!!! Do not buy anything from them. They also go by other names like The Camera Pros. I ordered a Pioneer Avic z3 and a $400.00 Warranty. To make a long story short-The person I was dealing with ELI at Ext 203-kept giving me the run a round. I had to call 4 times in order to get the invoice-then when I finally received it the warranty was wrong and it was all in a bundles price. When I called and emailed several times following the invoice, about 3-4 times that day and the follwing day to cancel the order, Eli told me I couldn't because it already shipped. I knew it had OT shipped. He refused to cancel the order and shipped it anyway. He then told me to just refuse the package and he would bill me a minimum of 15% restocking fee. Now remember, I cancelled the order 3 different times with emails and telephone calls, all knowing it had not shipped yet. When I received the tracking number from UPS, I was right when I read that it didn't ship out until the day AFTER i had cancelled 4 times. I refused the package when it arrived and prior to it ever shipping out I called my credit card company to dispute the charge. They received the package on July 3, 2008 and as of today, July 8, 2008 I still don't have any refund. THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS!!!! Please don't buy from them because the price looks good-it's not worth the savings for what they put you through and lie to you about the sale. Thankfully I used my credit card and they have a great freud department. These people at this time have the 1454.98 and the Avic z3 along with the warranty. LESSON LEARNED!!!!!!!!!!

""DO NOT BUY FROM THESE CROOKS"
After calling them to confirm my order, I was bombarded with sales ranging from extended warranty to cases.I did not need any of these items and was told my camera would be here in 5-7 days.I called them tonight, 3 weeks later & was asked if I wanted to buy batteries with my camera. After saying no, I was informed the camera was no longer in stock & they would refund my money. After 3 weeks of no emails, or phone calls or anything from them about this. These "CROOKS" should be shut down & not be allowed on the net ever again.
"DO NOT BUY FROM THEM""
