"Ordered an entertainment center on 1/2/12. At first I was able to get through and follow up with them regarding the delivery. I was then told of a delay in getting my furniture. I have tried calling for two weeks with no answer. Today it says the mail box is full. I've had to call my credit card company to put it in dispute. Now I have to wait another 6 to 8 weeks while our TV sits on the floor. What a joke. I would not recommend this company. It's been a nighmare."
"I made a purchase from Great Price Furniture, and did not get the merchandise I paid for. I attempted to call the company and was unable to contact ANYONE. I left 16 messages, and 2 e-mails...no response. I also requested a refund via e-mail and voice mail, but like usual...no response. Save yourself the hassle, and DO NOT USE this fraudulent company. "
"I have been trying to resolve issues with an order for over a year. I have about 80 emails between myself and Cindy in customer service. Promised a refund to keep order "as is". Never issued credit. Finally dumped me on someone else. They didn't issue the credit. Finally dumped me on someone else last week. Caroline. She didn't even return my call. The order was a problem from the very beginning. Late. Late. Late. Finally coming. Late. Scratched. Took pictures. Sent picture. They decided that is what is defined as "antiqued look." I know the difference between antiqued and scratched. Anything damaged could fall into their definition of "distressed or antiqued."I actually have emails promising the refund. THAT HAS NEVER BEEN ISSUED.DO NOT BELIEVE A SINGLE WORD THEY SAY. I KNOW YOU WILL WANT TO. YOU THINK YOU ARE GETTING A DEAL. PAY 2X'S THE PRICE SOMEWHERE ELSE AND YOU WILL LOVE YOUR FURNITURE FOREVER. "This company is the WORST company to ever order from. They do not answer the phone, they do not ship your product in a timely manner, they LIE to you, this has been the worse experience!My order was due to me by Christmas, finally by the end of Jan and still not recieving my order and being lied to every week that it was going to ship Friday, I cancelled my order. It has been around 18-20 business days and I still have not got my refund. Excuse after excuse! I highly recommended saving your money going to a local furniture store and buying! It is my mission to get this company shut down so they cannot scam other customers as they have me. Basically they have been holding my money for 4 months!"
"Ordered a bed in December 2011. They said it would ship in 4 to 6 weeks. We now get the run around. No one returns calls (usually no one answers if they do they send you to voice mail). Very sorry I tried to do business with them."
"This company is unreliable and I STRONGLY suggest people to NOT to purchase furniture from them. I ordered two recliners and a sofa on 9/24/11, and after following up with customer service for months regarding my purchase and when I would receive it, I was finally sent a shipping notification at the end of December. After repeatedly requesting a status from Great Priced Furniture on a delivery date, I ended up calling the shipping company directly -- only to be told on 1/13/12 that the order was on hold because they had received only one recliner. The customer service reps (Tiffany and Cindy) at Great Priced Furniture eventually told me it was a mistake by the manufacturer. They assured me on 1/31/12 that that the missing recliner was shipped by the manufacturer to the shipping company and that I should receive the entire order this week (2/6/12). Earlier today I called the shipping company directly (again) to request a status on delivery and I was told that they still do not have the missing recliner. I, too, will be requesting a refund. "
"I concur with previous postings to this site. I purchased furniture 7 weeks ago. They did not meet their promise of processing the order through the manufacturer in 10 days and they did not deliver the furniture in the promised 4 1/2 weeks. In fact it is now 7 weeks and the order is still not processed. I contacted customer service 3 times in the last week. They stated that the truck was picking up my order last Friday and I would be contacted to confirm. That never happened. I called again today and they once again would not take responsibility. I cancelled my order but they refuse to refund my money in a timely manner. I will be putting in a dispute claim to my credit card company as this company does not seem to care about their customers. Do not trust this company in any way to fulfill their orders or stick to their promises on the website. "
"I am now very concerned after reading all of the reviews recently that something is going on with this company. I ordered bedroom furniture back in December, have called at least once or twice weekly since the beginning of January only to be told that the furniture was scheduled for pick up at the vendor's location on Tuesday or Thursday and that I would receive a trcking number once the order was picked up. When I called today, for about the 5th time, was told that the truck broke down and that Sarah is no longer with the company. I don't know what that has to do with me. Customer service has been horrible, no one follows up, and I still have no idea if and when I will receive my furniture. This company has had my money since December 9th, unless I get an answer by tomorrow I will dispute the charge on my credit card and purchase elsewhere. Buyers beware....wish I would have read the reviews before ordering. I purchased a few years ago from them and had no issues whatsoever."
"With a polished, friendly and professional upfront experience, BE WARNED!!!!! DISHONEST BUSNINESS!!!In my experience, the company PROMISED one delivery date, was not able to meet it and did not follow-up on continued missed delivery estimates. Was CHARGED for the furniture before it was even manufacturer and shipped. CANCELLED the order for nearly TWO WEEKS repeatedly, but the Customer Service Representative Cindy would not acknowledge cancellation, referencing the need for MANAGEMENT APPROVAL, and never followed up nor obtained it. STALL TACTIC!It is CLEAR that the company is attempting to delay in hopes of having availability, but the order was CANCELLED, a concept the company does not seem to understand. BOTTOM LINE: CANNOT BE TRUSTED!!!!Chronologic History: 12/02/2011 – Spoke with Linda for details of item, order placed with Brian. Given 4 week estimated delivery.12/05/2011 – Received email confirmation of order with estimated delivery within 1-2 weeks.12/16/2011 – Received email from Sarah given estimated delivery of next week. Promised to follow-up on Monday, December 19th to confirm.12/19/2011 – No email or phone follow-up from Sarah as promised.01/10/2012 – Charged placed on my credit account.01/12/2012 – Sent email to Sales with INITIAL request to cancel order and credit charges01/18/2012 – Received email from Cindy, Order and Customer Care Manager informing of delayed shipment.01/19/2012 – Received email from Cindy indicating order was scheduled to release tomorrow (01/20/2012) Cindy inquired whether or not I would consider not canceling order.01/19/2012 – Sent email to Cindy requesting for the SECOND time order cancellation and credit my charges. NO RESPONSE01/19/2012 – Sent email to Cindy for THIRD time requesting order cancellation later in the day.01/19/2012 – Sent email to Cindy requesting confirmation of order cancellation and account credit.01/20/2012 – Received email from Cindy indicating that request for cancellation was sent to upper management for approval.01/23/2012 – Sent email to Cindy REREQUESTING status and further requesting the company act professionally. NO RESPOSE FROM COMPANY01/24/2012 – Left voice mail for Fred, listed on Internet as the President/CEO of company (will have to verify the factuality of that position) and for the FOURTH time requested order cancellation and account credit.01/24/2012 – Sent email to Cindy indicating that she has failed to meet her obligation to process my order cancellation, and as a result, I am forced to escalate my actions against the Great Priced Furniture.01/24/2012 – Disputing charges with credit company.01/24/2012 - Received email from Cindy confirming order cancellation and credit to post within 7-10 business days.01/24/2012 - Sent email to Cindy confirming FULL credit.01/24/2012 - Received phone call from Fred. Acknowledged order cancellation and assured that FULL credit would be processed today, expediting the longer quoted 7-10 business days processing. Fred was pleasant, but focused on the initial order cancellation request which was emailed on January 12th, but states was not received (a copy was forwarded to Cindy), but Fred appeared to miss the focus of the customer complaint, failure to process a customer order cancellation.01/24/2012 - Received a subsequent call from Fred. My hope is that he truly understands the process problem and/or business ethics issues resultant from this order, and that he will work towards mitigating them. He assured me he would use this order as a learning example. My fingers are crossed that this is the case and future customers have a better experience. Company name is accurate, however, great priced furniture. "
"I ordered a beautiful AICO sofa and loveseat from Great Priced Furniture on 6 September 2011. Their price was approximately $700 lower than their nearest competitor. Even though it had taken a while to receive the shipment, it was well worth the wait. During times, when companies were laying off folks causing delay of shipment times, the President/CEO of Great Priced Furniture got totally involved on keeping me abreast on the status, to include providing his home cell phone number in case I needed to contact him........day or night. Unfortunately, the sofa would not fit through my front door. So, Mr. Fred Rose (President/CEO) actually paid $300 for a rental of a scissor lift to get my furniture through the third floor balcony. That is commitment and determination to satisfy the customer at all means available. A special thanks goes to Mr. Rose and his professional staff for going above and beyond my furthest expectations. I love my furniture, which was delivered in perfect condition. My future purchases will definitely be with Great Priced Furniture. "
"I ordered furniture back in october. It's now feb and still have not received it. I keep calling but I keep getting told the same thing. I'm really upset cause I called before I placed the order to make sure it was in-stock and told it was. Then after recieving it wasn't I was told I was get it before thanksgiving. Thanksgiving past, Christmas past, the new year past. Now feb, nothing. If I don't get my tracking info by Friday like promised I'm canceling my order."
"I ordered a loveseat and chair in October and was told it would be delivered before Christmas. It's now January 6 and no furniture. I have made several calls to Wilmington office (I live in area), and each time I'm told it's a carrier issue. Though they're not sure if the carrier has my furniture, they will know something in two or three days. Having worked in trucking management for almost 20 years, I know their tracking systems are better than that and the carrier shoule be able to pinpoint any freight in their system within a few minutes. I feel I am getting the runaround from GPF. I plan to visit their local office very soon! In the mean time --- still waiting. Update:Delivery made Jan. 23rd after intervention by Mr. Rose with carrier. Furniture is fine and as advertised. "
"Most recent:After seeing my review the president of the company called to assure me my table would be sent out at the end of that week or the beginning of the next. Well, now it's the end of the next week and it still hasn't been shipped. It is Friday to be specific. I've called a couple of times this week and no one could give me an idea when it would be sent. I am now canceling my order and looking elsewhere. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Since my previous message, I called to cancel my order. I was able to get a hold of a person this time and she explained there was a delay due to a closing for inventory by the manufacturer over the holidays. She told me my table would be shipped out within a week. I decided not to cancel and will see what happens. After I placed my call, the president of the company called me to reiterate that my table will be sent out soon and explain the delay. If the company goes through with what they have told me, my view of them will change dramatically. I still wish there would have been more communication early on since this delay seems to be an annual event that can be expected. However, I think a lot of my frustration is due to the fear of fraud when dealing with an internet company. Especially after reading all of the other reviews. I ordered a coffee table on Dec. 10th. If rare unexpected delays occur, you will be notified immediately. "It is now Jan. 3rd. I don't know what is going on with this table. I have emailed twice and called twice, leaving messages (no human answers). No one has notified me immediately (as their website states) that my table will be delayed. I have not gotten any tracking number. I did get a response email that stated they are "experiencing some unexpected delays" but that doesn't tell me anything. I don't know if my table is a week out or six months. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! I will probably wind up have Amex take this charge off my account. Katie"
"Ordered a rocker/recliner and PAID for it 11 weeks ago. STILL have not received a shipment date, although I was promised one last week, only after threatening to dispute my credit card charge to this company. This week I was forwarded to another department via e-mail, saying that the manufacturer had released the chair for shipment. Before that, the 'holidays' delayed it. (Halloween?) When I send an e-mail, I just get another excuse. I ordered early for the chair to go in a nursery...thanks alot GPF, now I have exactly 7 weeks to figure out how to find another chair."
