"This is the second time that I have written a review for GovGroup and I rarely write reviews at all. Recently, I have had the chance to have a conversation with Andy, (who I later discovered was the CEO) and got a sense for the people behind the website. In this day and age, transacting business online is faceless and impersonal, which makes it difficult to establish trust and loyalty. What I have discovered is that these are honest guys, doing a great job to build a low cost, high service option for reducing their customer's expenses.
This was my 4th purchase with GovGroup over the last 2 years or so. I am self employed and work from a technologically well-equipped home office. Being an independent, cost, quality and customer service and responsiveness are very important to me; therefore, I research every purchase to ensure that I am getting the best bang for my buck. GovGroup.com has impressed me every time, even when I had to return a product compromised during shipping (I had a new monitor shipped to me faster than I could return the damaged one). Literally, there were zero questions asked.
My latest purchase was a high-quality home/office dual-band network router. When I determined the exact model number that I wanted, and got a sense of what they go for online, I was thrilled to discover that it was $5 cheaper than the best price I could find with such companies as NewEgg, Tiger Direct, eCost or MWave (I have used them all). No, $5 is not a lot, but it matters. My router was at my door in less than 24 hrs.
"Terrible experience with this company. Customer Service is not helpful. Shipment delivered to incorrect address and company did not seem to care that I had to track down and go pick up my package. Request to return item has been ignored. Do NOT deal with this vendor if you want good service. I'd give this company 0 stars if that were an option!"
"Beware: most of the positive reviewers of GovGroup have reviewed no one else. Do you think they might be associated with GovGroup?
If you would actually like to get what you ordered, don't order from GovGroup. And if you call them, you're just wasting your time. After ten minutes of being told I had two calls ahead of me, one call ahead of me, I was put automatically into voicemail."

"I think it shady when someone hits your card before they ship your product. In my order confirmation, it says projected ship date 2-3 weeks but they promptly charged my card. Resellers shouldn't offer volume pricing on things they don't have in stock. Additionally when one calls customer service the phone goes into a queue and then caller is slammed into a phonemail box and asked to leave a message. The queue says there's one caller ahead of you, but within a few moments your told to leave a message, inspite of chosing to wait for the next available rep. Doesn't matter what time of day one calls, it's the same result. SHADY SHADY SHADY"

Not only did they have the exact model that I was looking for, but I was extremely pleased to see that it was less expensive than the lowest price I was previously able to find on line. Shipping rates were very reasonable and the item arrived in lightening speed. I will absolutely shop there again. "

"I wish there was an option for NO STARS & Worst Online Retailer in the ratings. This retailer is definitely not the one I would ever, I mean ever ever buy anything from or recommend anyone to even consider it. I purchased a Network Powerline A/V kit, which at the time of check out stated it, is available and will be processed and shipped within 3 to 5 days. I was sort of in a rush to get this since I had to mount it in my media closet before I close the rack with cover. 6 days came and went by, I didn’t' get any updates from the seller. I delayed my project for this in hopes of receiving it anytime now. Then 2 1/2 weeks later I received an email from GOV Group saying "YOUR ORDER HAS BEEN CANCELLED AND REFUNDED. THE PRODUCT REQUESTED IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE. WE APOLOGIZE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE THIS MAY HAVE CAUSED".
I wasted all this time to find out this product is not even available from this company, yet it is still published online for purchase. So I ended up buying it from local retailer for the regular price and finished my project. Although I still have not been refunded my money back, I have called 3 times to their "so called" customer service to find out the status on the refund. First time I was told it is in the process and will be issued shortly; then second time they said it was being issued as im speaking to them and I was even given a confirmation number and told to wait 48 hrs for it to come back to the credit card. Which never happened and the third time their finance department was out of office so they will call me back, if I leave a good number to reach me at. Needless to say no one called me yet.
Until right now (08/11/2011) as im typing and looking at my credit card statement, I do not see any sign or indication of refund from this company. I'm going to give 1 more day till I call my credit card company and cancel the transaction and also report GOV Group aka Crook Group to BBB and Federal Trade Commission's Bureau of Consumer Protection for deceptive, or fraudulent practices in the marketplace.
