Next, I received an email from them requesting that I call to confirm my order. When I called, first they tried to sell me additional memory for the camera at an inflated price. When I declined they tried to sell me a larger battery at an inflated price. Each time I declined, they offered the extra item at a lower price. Finally after I declined all extras, they told me the camera I was purchasing was not available in the color I wanted. I told them I would take any color they had, it did not matter. I was hung up on. I called back thinking we had been cut off. I was told my order had been cancelled. They called me the following Monday, to confirm the order, and wanted to \u0022upsell\u0022 batteries, lenses, and 3 or 5 year warranties. I agreed to purchase a set of rechargable batteries, but nothing else. I was not given a new total for my order! When I was adamant about not wanting anything else, including faster (more expensive) shipping, the salesman disgustedly said \u0022you should get your camera in 3 or 4 weeks.\u0022 I sent email on 11\/3\/07 asking for the new total of my order, and didn\u0027t get any response. I called back on 11\/14, and was told the camera would still be 3 or 4 weeks, although the gift package deal would ship out immediately ($369 instead of $279.) Meanwhile, these jokers have my credit card number on file, which makes me very nervous. They haven\u0027t charged me for the camera yet. A day or two later, I receive a call from the verification department. It took me 10 minutes get across to them that I did not need extra lenses or batteries. Five days later, I\u0027m told that the item is back ordered and won\u0027t be shipped for 2-3 weeks. I promptly called them to cancel, but they took that opportunity to try to sell packages of the same camera for \u0022only\u0022 $150 more. They told me they would cancel the order but I still have not received the conformation email (which they said I would receive right away). I\u0027m waiting for a charge to show up on my credit card so I can turn them in for fraud.<br><br>I fortunately did not lose any money, but they did waste a lot of my time. Do not do business with these guys. DON\u0027T GET THEIR PACKAGES-they tell you they\u0027re throwing in a \u0027high-quality UV filter\u0027, and say that it is $50 retail, but when you get it for $20(oh, what a deal!) you see that it is actually a Merkury Optics plain old filter and a THREE-PACK online anywhere is only $14. I would warn everyone of this place and only ever buy a camera from here. You can\u0027t return only the filter because if they say they\u0027re giving you a deal it means \u0027SPADA\u0027, Special Packaging and Discounts Applied, and in that event you must return the entire package together according to \u0027Terms and Conditions\u0027, plus a huge restocking fee. Also shipping took EIGHT WEEKS from when I ordered, they kept saying it was \u0027out of stock; it will ship in 2-3 weeks\u0027. They also said that they\u0027d upgrade my shipping speed since I had to wait so long but that didn\u0027t happen either; it was shipped UPS ground which they charged me $20 for which is even more bs because shipping a one-pound camera over six days does NOT cost $20. After placing the order I received an email to contact the Verification department, which I did. They tried to sell me some additional items, which I rejected, then they told me that the item would ship in 2 to 3 weeks. Three weeks later I contacted them again about the camera - they said that they could not fill my order yet and that it would be another 2 to 3 weeks. I went to their webb site and saw that they were still advertising the same camera, albeit at a slightly higher price. I realized that they were stringing me along with no intention of filling my order until the camera was obsolete. I cancelled the order after waiting on hold for 10 to 15 minutes. "terrible service. phone was fine but requested a return as my daughter did not care for it. reqested a return rma. today i sent my 3rd request for a rma since there has been no replys to the previous 2. no customer service at all, plus for all the hassel they want to charge a 15% restocking fee. Horrible experience."
