"I have bought many things from them in the past few years...but, never again!!! Bought a vintage Rolex watch that I received Jan. 2013 that has never kept proper time. Gilt.com refused to take it back even though the watch came with an appraisal stating that the watch was in "good and working condition". I have since had to file a dispute with American Express to try and get the situation handled since Gilt doesn't even have the consideration to respond to my concerns. Stay away from this company...they are terrible and have no concept of customer service."
"All I have to say, is STAY AWAY! What a terrible site. I ordered two bracelets on March 20, have been waiting all this time (April 1) after receiving my order confirmation via email to finally get fed up, look at my account and see my order was CANCELLED the night I bought it! Sorry, but I KNOW I had the $70 in my bank at all times. They never even contacted me to say "hey, guess what? we cancelled your order." I wrote them an email tonight asking why they didn't bother to let me know, we'll see what they say. They seem a lot like Haute Look, selling defective "designer" items for WAY over the price their worth, but I really liked those bracelets! Oh well, time to find a new store!"
"I used to buy a lot from here, but lately it has gone waaaay downhill. They just lost me as a customer (after having spent $1000's) over $5 and two really bad experiences. One was a bad product, the other was bad customer service, which was a first for them. They used to have great service and good prices. Now, prices are much lower elsewhere and they don't care about your business."

"I shop a lot online. i mean seriously a lot. Ive been a memeber with Gilt.com ever since 2010. To be honest, you can find better price on other websites and maybe at the store. They seems like repeat exactly the 'same stuff' over and over again every year and also i made so many returns because of the damages on the products and misleading informations on the sizes and products. Shop around, you will find better price with No shipping charge."
" I would never recommend using Gilt.com (especially after such a misleading information in regards to the r prices). Bought an item one week for 69 bucks the next week the item was for 20 bucks lower. I purchased a deal from another company and GILT bought this company and refused to refund my purchase, only offer a store credit because they don't have access to my credit card information, just the amount that I actually paid! I don't want to look through pages of more expensive items, I just want the deal that I purchased and they refuse to refund!"
"READ THE FINE PRINT ON SHIPPING AND ON BUYING ---BUYER BEWARE!!!!Firstly, on buying --- you can definitely get upscale items at a better discount from the designer or even a store when on sale. I recently bought INHABIT cashmere sweaters from INHABITNY onsale. They were $75 higher on Gilt. While they may offer credit on a returned item back to your crefit card, they charge a flat fee of $14.95 for usps shipping which includes a $5 restocking fee.NOW WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU WERE CHARGED SO MUCH FOR A RETURN??? AND A RESTOCKING FEE???I think it's bad business to have high shipping costs to you and then such an exhorbitant return. UPS is cheaper and includes insurance up to $100.AND they are hustlers. Tell your friends emails, wait list innundating months later, you bought something 6 hours ago, buy something else in the next two hours and get free shipping.PLUS the shipping paackaging is flimsy and most of the time comes in a plastic bag. A $150 cashmere sweater isn't even protected in a box.AND just try talking to them on the phone. They are dismissive and rude.I live in NY so I have accessibility to the best stores, sample sales, etc. If I feel driven to shop online, it's not going to be with GILT. "
"I used to not like ordering from GILT, because they only allowed store credit on returns and had somewhat high shipping rates. They recently changed their policy and allow easier returns, store credit or your money back and a flat shipping rate. This has really improved my confidence as them as a company. Since this is a flash sale site, I found it important to be able to get a my money back when items didn't' work out.My only complaint is that sometimes it can take awhile to get your items. However, in defense of GILT they do let you know WHEN your items are likely to ship. I will continue to order from here, they respond to customer feed back well, have good merchandise and great prices. "
"So i've been a loyal Gilt customer until now. Ordered yohji yamamoto dress which had a retail value >$3,000 as per Gilt.com website. Once i received this item I noted the retail price tag of 50% less from what Gilt.com stated, so I could have gotten a MUCH better deal if I would have purchased this dress from the actual boutique during its sale. Now i am questioning almost each of my single purchase with Gilt. Do we really get a massive discount or it is all made up by the website?!... Now i will be very careful with buying anything on Gilt.com. In addition, I used once Gilt for Bon Jovi tix, AND ended up sitting next to a couple who bought their tix of the regular website for the price 40% less of what we paid for Gilt's "special offer" (so even with the discount, we really did not get a great deal as we realized)... So I am thinking if a buyer is comfortable with paying a certain amount of money while shopping on Gilt.com, that is a win win situation for all, unless a buyer is looking for a great deal, than I would never recommend using Gilt.com (especially after such a misleading information in regards to the real retail prices).
