"Futurepowerpc.com canceled my order without bother notice me. i kept waiting and waiting..."
"I placed a $375.98 order online for a new Sony Handycam HDR-CX110 1080P HD Digital Camcorder on Sun, July 10, 2011. The package arrived at my home in California on Tue, July 26 by UPS Ground. It was two days before I opened it. When I did so, I found a camcorder that was clearly “used” and not “new” as advertised. The Sony Box I received was not wrapped in shrink wrap, but merely taped closed, and the camcorder contained the lithium battery, instead of a new shrink wrapped battery being included in the box. (When I called FuturePower PC, they claimed they had just “tested the camcorder” and it was still “new.” ) But the real tip-off for me came when I opened the Owner's Manual and found yellow highlighting on page 15 under “Charging the Battery Pack.” I spoke to a “James”(516-466-2370 ext 123) on Fri, July 29, 12:34 pm; and swapped emails with a “Jenny” (email@example.com) later on Jul 29, both of whom offered to deduct $30 off the $375.98 "new" sales price, which I refused. James said he had no more of the Sony Handycam HDR-CX110 1080P HD Digital Camcorder in stock, and I asked to return the one they had sent me for a full credit. They emailed a return UPS label, but the UPS return label they emailed me allowed for only “2 pounds maximum” of shipping, when the box they shipped to me needed a “3 pound” shipping label since the box weighed 2.8 pounds (I have photos of the owner manual highlighting and both shipping labels and copies of Jenny’s emails.) I returned the Camcorder on Sat, Jul 30, they received it on Mon, Aug 8, and I was promptly credited my “full” refund (though I was out $5.98 original shipping charge.) I filed complaints with both the New York and California Consumer Affairs Departments alerting them that this company is representing itself online as selling “new” electronic equipment, when in fact it attempted to sell me “used” electronic equipment. Maybe this was a fluke, but if you too have been victimized by this company I would hope you would alert the New York Consumer Affairs Dept and your state's Consumer Affairs Dept to initiate an investigation.Note: My original order was placed with Future Power PC (http://www.futurepowerpc.com/; 57 Watermill Lane, Great Neck, NY 11021-4234), though upon the exchange I was dealing with persons (James and Jenny) at Future Technologies Inc. (http://www.fticomputer.com/). The websites look similar though Future Power PC advertised only NEW equipment for sale on its website."
"order a exotic pc mouse last year for a price and was told in stock at time of purchase. Later was told on back order. I held out. A year later they finally have some in stock and said they would send me one. Week later nothing. Asked again and they wont send me one as it costs more than I made the original purchase for. My purchase was with them not their supplier. They change their prices on customer who back order. Dont bother with these guys. Unethical. "
"Best price of about 10 places on the web that I checked. Shipping was also lowest. Prompt e-mail notification of order status and UPS tracking number. Some trouble finding a link to my basket when I was browsing their site. So far, I am happy with their service and prices. If the order arrives before the next week end I will be very happy!"
"The company is terribe. When first ordered with my alaska address said shipping was 5.99. Then called to say they had to add more because it was in alaska, which made it almost 40.00. Really wanted the product so said a hesitant yes. Received the product and it did not do what it claimed it could do. They said, "Sorry for the misunderstanding". Now to get my money back MINUS the shipping i have to mail it back and yes, PAY FOR THE SHIPPING back to them. I will have paid for 2/3 the product just with the shipping charges. What kind of company does not send a shipping label for returns? This crappy one apparently. Do NOT do business with them. They are terrible!! And by the way, it took 5 weeks before they even told me it was backordered to begin with!!"
"Just awful. Bad communication, may or may not have products that they list as "in stock", dishonest, etc... I would never do business with them again. but hey, you'll get a lovely "we're sorry" letter a few months after they realize the product you ordered wasn't even in production to begin with. But i guess that's to be expected when you ship from the manufacturer and never update your website. "
"Avoid at all costs!They listed my item as in stock, then marked it "shipped" after I placed my order. A week later I asked for a tracking number, and they admitted it was actually on backorder from the manufacturer, giving me another estimated ship date when they would get a new order. That date came and went with no communication from FuturePowerPC; meanwhile other retailers briefly had stock, but with my open order I did not order elsewhere. I asked if my order had shipped, and they delayed several days before telling me it had not shipped and the next estimated delivery was not for another month. Having been repeatedly lied to and denied an opportunity to order elsewhere while other retailers had stock, I finally canceled my order. I would never do business with them again."
"Let me tell you about my horrendous experience with this company. It was so bad that I am driven to writing a review on the internet to hopefully stop someone else from doing business with them. I ordered an HP ProBook 4520s. Instead of ordering directly from HP, I thought I would save myself $59 and order thru this company. I lost a big contract as I did not receive the new laptop when it was supposed to be delivered, in fact, I ordered it Thursday night, paid for three day shipping, here it is Thursday again and it was just delivered about an hour ago. After ordering this product and paying extra for faster delivery, I was sent a notice telling me that it was about to be built(?) and would be ready for shipment in 7-14 days! Well, it has all gone down hill since then. I turned the computer on and the no matter what I type the keyboard letters to not work, again I call the company, how funny that all of their technicians are at lunch? I am so confused, so I did a reverse telephone number look up and much to my surprise, I am dealing with a company that only uses cell phones and ID attached to the cell phone, amazing huh? So here I sit with a brand new computer that I cannot use. Once posting this review on the internet, within 10 minutes we got a call from the company. Rich, was able to talk me thru getting the keyboard to work. It was nice to see that he responded to the complaint. I am still not 100% happy, as my money for shipping should have been refunded, a week, is a week. Rich did say that they needed to work on customer service. I will use them again, after all"
"The intel motherboard I ordered was recalled so I got a call from their Customer Service team with an even better replacement unit, I was really really happy! I got my new Intel CPU and Asus motherboard working, I wish more companies were this helpful instead of just canceling my order they actually helped me."

"Wow, I just read some of the negative reviews of Futurepowerpc.com and am surprised. Yesterday I received my first order (some software) from them 6 days after I placed the order (including a 3 day federal holiday weekend which means to Post Office was closed on Monday!) so I was surprised when I stumbled across these reviews when going to place an other order; which I will do when done with this review. I have nothing but good to say about them; the lowest prices I could find on the web - after EXTENSIVE research - for the software I needed, fast shipping, good communications. What more can I say, other than I am NOT affiliated with them in any way except being a customer that lives in Alaska - oh, by the way, that fast shipping included shipping it to Alaska, which a lot of stupid companies in the lower 48 won't do because they don't know we are part of the United States or they think shipping charges are more up here (which they can be sometimes but not through the USPS). So, I say give Futurepowerpc.com a try, maybe they have cleaned up their act."

Three weeks later with no package, called a clueless customer service rep, only to get the RUDEST supervisor in history who blamed my wife stating, "it's your mistake for thinking we had this item in stock." It should arrive in a week. Still no item after five weeks. Canceled right away and will NEVER be back! Item is actively advertised on their site even now- DISINGENUOUS! Avoid this scam site!"
