Wouldnt take responsibility! I ordered a hard drive, and supposedly Fed Ex lost it. But after a 2 weeks of calling in to have them send me another package, they finally told me that it was out of stock, and they would refund me. Fine, I got credited for the hard drive, but not for the 2 weeks lost. They kept saying it wasnt thier fault, but I disagree. Stuff happens, and things get lost. Okay, but take responsibility! Fed Ex didnt force you to waste all that time instead of sending a replacement.

Website listed 9 Intel X25-M Gen2 drives in stock. Ordered 3 of them. Website still listed 9 in stock. Called them a day later to confirm their inventory, they said my order was backordered (but hadn't bothered to email/call and tell me, again, I had to call them). Site *still* had 9 of them listed in stock after my call.

Sucks!! Don't buy here! Complete waste of time! Showed item as in stock, did not ship, did not advise via any method that item was waiting to be stocked. Customer service was terrible: phone lines sucked, cut me off, and use third party offshore call centers. Save money, time and frustration, go elsewhere!

I ordered a kodak zi8 from Futurepowerpc.com on September 3rd, and paid for expedited shipping. I received an e-mail that the order was processing. Nearly a week later after no word, I had to call the company and spoke to a rather rude and abrupt fellow who told me the item was back ordered and assured me it'd be mailed out the next day. Two days pass, still no email, no product, and instead of calling I canceled my order which, surprisingly, they processed quickly. It must be a familiar process for them.
Look at the reviews, don't order from this company! There are plenty of reputable companies out there, I've always admired Amazon's customer service.

Apparently this product:
http://www.futurepowerpc.com/scripts/product.asp?PRDCODE=MC098ZM/A&REFID=FR
Is not available on their site. Makes perfect sense why its listed there, huh?
RIGHT.
After I asked about it, the cocksucker that answered the phone acted all snide, interrupted me and was eating food in my ear the whole time. NICE biz ethic, douchebags.

I was able to get them to ship out overnight for a saturday delivery and get my system back up and running. Definately a life saver and the woman I spoke to was so helpful.

Seems to be a common problem with this site advertising a product at a certain price, but then turning around and saying they no longer have it in stock at that price. I too used their inventory check to confirm that a product I wanted was in stock. I got a quick reply, saying that it was available and could be shipped within 3-5 days, so I promptly placed my order. Five days later, *I* had to initiate a follow up, because the futurepowerpc website listed my order status as "New Order". That status remained unchanged since placing the order. The same day, I got an email reply stating that it wasn't actually in stock, because it was coming straight from the manufacturer, rather than from futurepowerpc, thereby making the initial inventory request complete nonsense (and a flat out lie). Later, I also recieved a phone call stating that they mispriced the item on top of everything, so if I still wanted it, then I needed to confirm. They would not honor the original listed price, so I quickly cancelled my order. A lot of time was wasted waiting for this purchase, and I can't imagine how much longer I would have ended up waiting if I didn't initiate the inquiry into the issue. I've ordered items from this company many years before, and I expected much better from them, only to be sorely disappointed.

I ordered PNY GeForce 9600 GT 512MB GDDR3, PCI Express 2.0, SLI Ready, (Dual Link) Dual DVI, HDTV on 2/23/09 I get a call 2 days later from rep which is telling me that the cards is not available and do I want same thing without the game. I agreed. I called the company on 3/9/9 with a question about where is my card they tell me that PNY card is out of stock and PNY is making the card and it will be shipped sometime this week. I got upset they should have told me that when they had me on the phone. This is ridiculous. Future Power PC charged me on 2/25/09 for the card which is not made yet and they don’t have it. This is bad company with bad communication skills don’t order from them. I know that I will not.

I ordered a Garmin GPSMap 60CSx handheld GPSR from FuturePowerPC.com in December of 2006. I checked all over for the best price, and they had it with free shipping. I was hesitant to order from a new (to me) company, but they had decent online reviews, and I could always go through the Credit Card company to resolve any issues.
I received the GPSR in a few days. It was in great condition with all the parts and documentation I needed to send off for the $50 rebate, which Garmin honored.
I am very happy with the transaction, and the GPSR is still working great, almost 2 years later. I would purchase from them again.

I purchased three COP surveillance cameras from this store. I received e-mails indicating the status of the order as it got readied. It shipped really quickly too. The prices where good too. UPDATE: I had to return one of the cameras due to a malfunction. They kept it for more than a month and returned it to me. The camera still has intermittent problems. A second camera failed. I decided not to send it to them because they are not reliable. I purchased a different camera from another vendor. I would not recommend COP branded cameras due to the failure rate and service options. You must send to vendor for repair. I had originally recommended futurepowerpc.com but no longer recommend them due to lack of customer service. This review was modified by its author, mariok88, on

Read carefully about my experience so you gain some insight about the attitudes and ethics of this company.
I had a terrible experience dealing with this company. They make up varying stories and lies that they are undoubtedly good at telling to scam their customers. I had purchased a WACOM tablet from them at 120 dollars, and they had already charged my credit card. Shortly after, a lady called me and simply said "There was an error in pricing. We can't cover the cost for the tablet at that price. You can buy it for 200 DOLLARS though." I thought that was outrageous so I told her to cancel it. Later when I called because they had not refunded the money on my credit card, the man that answered the phone explained that "the item is no longer in stock, so we will refund your credit card". Convenient excuse, right? I decided to see what would happen if I explained more, and I mentioned the other lady changing the price on me. He said, "Oh, that was a promotional price. We offered it before, but have now changed it." He then ACKNOWLEDGED the item HAD been available for purchasing at the promotional price (READ: not an error in pricing), but not any more. I told him that I had checked out the item at the promotional price and FuturePowerPC had CHARGED my credit card for the promotional price, but the man just said "nope, sorry" and hung up. Two VERY different explanations - just stories to con customers. These are the facts, I will leave it to you to draw the conclusion.
I recommend you stay away from this company and watch for their comments on customers' poor reviews as well. It seems they have an entire department dedicated to writing more lies to lure in more unsuspecting buyers by providing a false sense of honesty and good business ethics.

The first dvd drive was faulty. I called Samsung, they agreed the drive was faulty and gave me a transaction number. I returned the first drive to futurepowerpc.com within their 30 day policy. I had to pay shipping and was only given the option to repair the unit on their RMA return web site. I called futurepowerpc.com and was reassured that I would be sent a new unit. The second drive that I received had scratch marks on it. IT WAS NOT NEW! The second drive was faulty. I called futurepowerpc.com and said that I wanted a paid return and my money back. They just sent me a confirmation RMA number and an email telling me that I was going to be charged 15 per cent restocking charge and further shipping charges. I called futurepowerpc.com again and was told that this is indeed their policy. I’m keeping the faulty second drive as proof and this lesson has cost me purchase price, reshipping cost and time to warn you about their defective return policy.

I placed an order on 4/23 around noon. I never received any email from them.
I checked their web site and on the next afternoon (4/24) there was a note on my order asking me to call to confirm this order. I appreciate the security precautions, but why do they have to wait over 24 hours just to confirm.
When I confirmed I asked when the order would be shipped and was told later that day. When I checked again on the second day after placing my order I saw the notation "to be shipped." Tired of this delay, I called to cancel the order.
This is the second order I placed with them this month and both orders were the same--that is no email confirmation, earliest ship date was two days after placing the order (if then!). This vendor needs to be more responsive to its customers. There is no reason why an order cannot be shipped same or next-day providing the item is in stock.
