"I would never buy another foot product from Footsmart! I have ordered many shoes and spent a lot of money on their products. I ordered 4 pairs of socks from them and they made a mistake in the color of one of the pairs. I returned the pair they made a mistake on and they sent me the correct color of the pair they replaced, they also charged my credit for the pair they sent me. I called them right away and they said they were sorry and would credit my credit card for the mistake. THEY NEVER DID! STAY AWAY FROM FOOTSMART! "
"I wish I had read these reviews before I tried to work with Footsmart. First off, they tell you there is a problem processing the order if the order is over $200. Second, their customer service people are rude and seem to lack any training in customer service. There are many other issues such as when you go to print a smart label, it says use the order #, but that is not the number you need - they will state that you have to call and get the number from them. Then when I went to print the label, it didn't ask which printer to use, and the label went nowhere. When I called yet a second time to find out what to do, the CSR said "yes, it normally does not print out". Like that was totally normal They say they open at 7:00 EST - they were not open this AM when I called at 7:30 EST. Based on the quality comments I see above about the products people got from this co, I say take your biz elsewhere. Something is very very wrong in the this company! "
"This has to be the worst Company that I have ever dealt with regarding working with you to make the situation "right". The customer service was so bad that I have no interest in ever dealing with this Company again!!"
"On January 16, 2013 FootSmart sold and sent me a pair of 'seconds', and did not tell me that they were selling me 'seconds'. The boots I am referring to were a pair of Born, style Sage in a walnut brown. This boot normally sells retail for around $179 but on this sale at FootSmart the pair was priced at $99.97. I should have known that something was not right when the price was dropped almost a hundred dollars! The pair of boots arrived, and we saw that each boot was made, on the shaft, of a different type of leather, one was a reddish brown and the other was a greenish shade of brown. In addition to this, one boot had a smooth leather shaft and the other boot had a crinkly leather shaft. I sent the boots back, and used the SmartLabel that was enclosed with the original package. The boots were not worn and all the packaging was complete. I have been notified by FootSmart that they are refunding me $87.38 instead of the $99.97 I paid for the boots. Also, when I first ordered these boots I was charged on the 'check-out' for shipping. After I placed the order I saw a 'banner' on the web site saying that all orders over $75 would ship free. I contacted FootSmart via email and pointed out that I was charged shipping. I was emailed back that the shipping would be refunded back to my visa. This never happened. I was not refunded the ship charge.
I was sent a pair of mis-matched 'seconds'. And now I am sure that from what others have said online, that my refund is $12.59 less than what I paid for the boots because I am being charged for the SmartLabel, they sent to me, to ship the boots back to FootSmart. Add to this the $13.99 original ship charge, and I have been shorted $26.58 by FootSmart.
If you do not want to have done to you what was done to me by this company then you should stay away from dealing with them. Also, the return address for this company is in Tennessee while the 'mother' company is located in Georgia. I find it curious that they are located in 2 states, and are selling 'seconds', online, to customers who do not know that they are selling them 'seconds'. "
"Horrible customer experience and service. Ordered expensive shoes and after wearing for 2 hours my feet swelled up in numerous places, extreme pain and bottom and sides of feet bright red. Emailed them, took 3 days to respond, they won't refund and emailed 15% off next shoes over $60. Never heard of a business not accepting returns on expensive items that don't fit and hurt..unacceptable, will never shop here again"
"I placed an order online September 24. It shipped the 26th. On October 15th, i called their customer service line because their website was stating that my order had been delivered two weeks before- in Michigan. I live in Canada. I was assured that all off their orders go through Michigan first, and I would still get mine in time. I was leaving on holidays October 20th, and emailed their customer service on the 19th to again express my concern. Although I received an autoreply stating how important my concerns were to them, and that they would respond within 48 hours, I've never heard back. My order arrived October 24th- too late for my vacation. A month to the day, my order arrives, but never did I receive an apology. I think that disgusts me more than the fact that my order sat in Michigan for two weeks, when I paid so much for shipping! I would NEVER order from them again."
"The first time I ordered from Footsmart, I got two pairs of Sandals. They were pricey - but the brands I bought are worth it. Both pairs fit perfectly. The second time I ordered from Footsmart, one pair of shoes did NOT fit. I paid UPS $16.94 to return the $49.99 shoes - and then got an email from Footsmart that they were refunding $43 to my method of payment. I called them, very upset. The person I spoke to was very nice - he said that their receiving department processed a $6.99 return shipping fee to my refund. I told him I paid $17 to return those damn shoes and he asked if I had used their return label. I said NO, because the instructions said I couldn't use it if I had paid with Bill Me Later. He said he had no idea why that happened, but said he would refund the $6.99 right away. That was 2 weeks ago, and I am STILL waiting for both credits of $43 and $6.99. I DESPISE merchants who take weeks to issue refunds. There is NO EXCUSE for these kinds of delays with the use of technology. They do it on purpose, to inconvenience the customer. If Amazon can issue refunds the day after they receive my return, then so can FootSmart. I won't order from them anymore. Zappos has the same shoes for the same price and they pay for return shipping. GlassDoor.com reports that Footsmart treats their employees badly, too. Don't patronize them."
"The strap on the shoes that we ordered (Orthaheel) tore off in less than 3 weeks and FootSmart refused to exchange or refund. I wrote to them for a month asking for exchange or refund, and they replied "unfortunately we can not offer exchange / refund, but here is your 15% off coupon". Very insulting. Shoes are not ment to last a month and FootSmart did not stand by their own policies. We will never buy from FootSmart again!"
"I ordered a Clarks Privo sports sandal. The sandals arrived the 8th bus.day from order date. They shoe box was in a flimsy plastic mailing bag and was so beat up, the order slip inside the box was torn. The sandals were unhurt but it turned out they were too long by 1/2 a size. I arranged to return them for an exchange for a smaller size. I sent them back in a sturdy box on 5/30/12 USPS. On June 12th I received an email saying "We have been notified....that you have a return or exchange enroute to Footsmart. We expect it will be processed in the next 6-10 days! A few days later I received an email saying there was some problem in fulfilling my order and I should call them. I called and the agent did not know what the problem was. So I decided to just ask for a refund. The agent said that a check would be sent out soon. I said I did not want a check but preferred to have a refund sent through Paypal, as that was how I paid. She agreed to that. Meanwhile, I received 2 emails saying that the size of sandal I wanted was no longer available! In a few days I called again and was told that a check had been mailed on June 18th. Upon speaking to a manager he said that the notation was there in the order but that a check had been sent because it was impossible to refund back into the Paypal system! No email came confirming the check was sent. I called Paypal to lodge a claim. The next day the check arrived. It had been mailed on Wednesday, the 20th. You may get lucky dealing with them but the odds are against it. "
"Finally I got them to understand that the shoes I ordered from them had definitely never been worn (not by us anyway) & that I was due a refund. I did get a full refund after over a month. Maybe it was just an error. I probably will order from them again. They have some really great items at reasonable prices. I will just make sure that I order the correct size, etc. & make sure it is something that I never intend to return or exchange. Guess this thing can happen with any company. Main thing, I DID receive my refund & no longer think they are just intentionally out to fraud people. "

"I purchased Fitflop leather lace-up walking shoes - specifically for helping with bunion relief, as advertised, and quite frankly they are the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever worn, so much so that I could barely walk after an hour and am still recovering. I tried twice, hoping I would break them in. No luck.Imagine no cushioning, no arch support, no shock support - yes, plenty of room for your bunion, but at $119.99 not much else. It felt like 2 pieces of wood strapped to my foot - that uncomfortable - bunion joint having to grip for dear life to propel me forward. Return policy DESPITE the fact that the shoes didn't do what was advertise, dictates that they must be return UNWORN & in original package. When I asked the indifferent young woman how I could measure their effectiveness against foot pain if I didn't wear them, she agreed with my (sarcastic) suggestion that I wear them indoors for several hours - walk around my living room for a mile or so?? Yes, says she - hiding behind a policy. I rarely complain, almost never return items, spend a fortune online, but the attitude of Footsmart has left me cold. I have spent several hundred dollars with this vendor in the last 2 months. Obviously my custom is worth nothing - so I'll be taking it elsewhere."
"The day after my order shipped there was a 15% off special and Footsmart would not adjust my order. I was told that if I returned the merch I would be charged a 20% restocking fee! I will never do business with Footsmart again. The customer service is deplorable."
"I was totally disappointed in paying $80.00 for a pair of men's Baldwin slippers for a birthday gift to have the sole come apart in 2 and half months. When I called and explained my situation, I was told that anything past 60 days was no returnable. I've paid $10.00 for a pair of shoes that lasted a lot longer than that. Also, I have purchased several items from them but as of now, I'm no longer of customer. Take it from me, buy your shoes and socks somewhere else."
