"BEWARE: WARRANTY NOT HONORED! Folica's customer service has taken a nose-dive!
My SEDU 1-1/2" FLAT IRON stopped heating up. I returned it via Priority Mail within the 2-year warranty period to Folica's Return Dept. along with a copy of my original receipt, the Folica return form found on this website, and a check to cover costs--all as instructed by Folica. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME AND EFFORT! Within a week the package containing all of the items was returned to me UNOPENED and marked REFUSED - RETURN TO SENDER! I called Folica immediately, and the customer service rep falsely claimed they sent my broken flat iron back because "it was a 2007 model," when in fact THEY DID NOT EVEN OPEN MY PACKAGE to discover that the item I returned was purchased less than two years ago in 2011.
It's a great iron, but it does not last long at all, and one cannot count on Folica to honor the warranty. I switched to a BAYBYLISS PRO NANO TITANIUM for nearly half the price and a 4-year warranty and love it even more than the Sedu.
Folica: You've lost a longtime repeat customer for good. Shame on you."
"I checked the status of an order after 6 days (by the email option on their website), and they replied the next day that it had been cancelled due to "inability to verify address". On checking the order confirmation email, there was indeed an error of one digit in the street number. But the fact that they did not send me an inquiry, and in fact said nothing until I inquired, is clearly not acceptable. I do not consider that to meet the bar of minimum customer service (never mind outstanding). "
"I ordered a Pink chi air flat iron from folica about a month ago. The shipping was really fast and the price was right. When i unboxed it, i wasnt happy with the cosmetic condition of the iron. There were a couple of chips in the ceramic plates and there was a thick blob of yellow paint (small amount) on the handle of the iron. It looked sloppy and cheap. With that being said i questioned its authenticity. I also noticed that this iron did not come with a breaker box plug. It was a 2 pronged plug that u would find on a lamp. I phoned folica to ask about the plug, and they told me they "changed" the plug to a regular plug because the breaker box was "no longer necissary". So i phoned Farouk systems afterwards and was told its possible they changed the plug since the CHI AIR is a CHI HOME product not a CHI product. I was asked for the serial # on the iron and it turns out to be a real chi. However, i was told to return it anyways because if i ever had a problem with iron, my warranty would be VOID. This is because Folica is not an authorized retailer for CHI HOME or CHI products. Even though they say that they are. I returned the iron and the cost of return shipping was at MY expense!! They gave me a PARTIAL refund for the item less shipping and handling charges and it took 2 and a half weeks to process my return. This has been the worst online shopping experience ever and i wish i would have read the reviews before purchasing anything for this site. Its a complete rip off."
"I ordered a pink Sedu Revolution from them back in September (it is now November) and I got the standard free shipping. My first order was held b/c there was an error with my billing address. However, that was my banks fault. I cancelled that one and placed it again and it came within a few days. The order promised a gift with purchase and I thought it was the travel heat pouch. What prompted me to write this review is that I came home (to another state) for the holidays and found that there was an additional gift with purchase which was W magazine. I got pretty excited about that. Although, they did send it to the wrong address I easily had that changed. One more thing I should mention is that they had a recycle program where I was able to get a $40 off coupon for my order by sending in my old flat iron (which was really cheap and cost less than $20)."

"Folica sold me 2 counterfeit CHI's, refused to address it and finally after countless phone calls and asking to talk to a supervisor who somehow never seems to be there agreed to credit me $60 for a Solia hair straighter that broke after only having it for 4 months. They are now refusing to wave the handling fee even though I have spent over $200 with them for 2 counterfeit items. They should be shut down."
"I bought a X5 foldable travel hair dryer from this site, specifically for international travels. Unfortunately when I used it in Europe for the first time, it got overheated and burned my neck pretty badly. I was in pain for two weeks and it left two marks. I then wrote a review for this product warning potential buyers about the possibility of overheating problem, folica.com apparently suppressed the review: it's been several days and my review is still not published. Moreover, they also refused to honor their supposedly 2-year warranty and refund my order. Stay away from this site! The reviews cannot be trusted!!"
"I ordered a curling iron for my wife and some shampoo and conditioner for both of us. Our order was shipped out the same day and arrived in great condition. There was even shrink wrap around a couple of the liquid products (probably to prevent leaking). I was thrilled they had Crew and my wife likes Rusk. My wife's CHI flat iron just broke so we may go to folica to buy a replacement or a different brand."

Then I check my paypal account, and they have in fact charged me. I opened a dispute and they gave no answer. After two weeks I got a ruling from paypal in my favor to get refunded."
