"I ordered a curling iron for my wife and some shampoo and conditioner for both of us. Our order was shipped out the same day and arrived in great condition. There was even shrink wrap around a couple of the liquid products (probably to prevent leaking). I was thrilled they had Crew and my wife likes Rusk. My wife's CHI flat iron just broke so we may go to folica to buy a replacement or a different brand."
"I am truly flabbergasted at the negative reviews for Folica. One of my pet peeves, being that I've been a hairdresser for 22 years, is poor customer service. I have to say that I have received A+++ Customer service from them for the past few years i've been ordering. I've even ordered a flat iron that I returned because I didn't care for it and they paid return shipping and allowed me to keep the free items that came with it! Being a licensed stylist and shop owner, I get many of the items that Folica sells at wholesale prices from local professional beauty supply shops. But with some of there codes I have paid up to 1/2 off of what my beauty supply is selling it for (mostly the styling tools).

"I purchased an item from their website, I received a message that it is not available. I asked for a refund, and they said we haven't charged you, it was just a preauthorization. Then I check my paypal account, and they have in fact charged me. I opened a dispute and they gave no answer. After two weeks I got a ruling from paypal in my favor to get refunded."
"Naturally, you want to give the lowest mark for a product/service that you're disappointed with. Having said that, I've dealt with worse, so I can't conscientiously give the lowest mark for all aspects of review.
On the good side, shipping was brisk and arrived in reasonable time (a week after ordering).
My concern is that I thought I bought a 6.8oz bottle of Nioxin 2 scalp treatment. That is exactly the picture shown. And the price was pretty close to its competitors' 6.8 oz prices. I was surprised that a 3.4 oz bottle was shipped. When I looked at the site again, it turns out that yes, it was a 3.4 oz bottle. Just was a bit upset that the picture (that you can clearly read) is of a 6.8oz bottle.
The rep did little more than only remind me that they don't even carry the 6.8oz size, and that the picture "probably should be taken down".
I guess my bad for not reading the small (not fine) print. But still pretty deceptive, and not a company big on customer satisfaction. I've definitely dealt with better companies who were willing to help out for these kind of mistakes.
In all, probably not a "buyer beware", but with the competitive nature of on-line shopping, why in the world would you buy from these guys?"

"Worst online beauty supply store ever. They let you buy items they don't have instock. Then they charge you for the order even though your order won't ship for an uncertain amount of time. Order from Sephora or Amazon to avoid problems"
"My wife had been looking at flat irons and I decided to buy her one for Christmas. She picked out a Solia (?) model on the site. They offered free ground shipping and an extra 10% off. Communication was good but shipping time was a little slow. My wife was very satisfied with the iron, though."
