"Same experience as many users here. I placed an order for Mother's Day flowers. Never received shipping/delivery confirmation. I called customer service on Wed 5/15/2013, and was informed that the flowers never got shipped. When was FTD going to inform me of this transgression? Was FTD going to charge my credit card and never deliver the flowers? I do know that 5 days past the expected delivery date, I was never informed. Not to mention, FTD ruined Mother's Day for my family. The customer service representative was not apologetic for ruining Mother's Day. Until FTD changes their corrupt business practices, I will never shop at FTD in the future. I need reliability in the vendor I choose to wish my friends and family happiness through flowers and gift baskets."

"I will never order through FTD again. I ordered Mother's Day flowers and received an e-mail confirmation that the order was going through. I received a call on Wednesday at 5:10 p.m. (3 days AFTER Mother's Day) that they apologized the order never shipped and offered me a whole $10 off to try again. I said I'd never received an e-mail telling me (she confirmed this) and I asked why I was hearing about this 4 days after the fact and she said they were just getting to all of the calls. Makes you realize how many orders did NOT get shipped.
I wondered why I never heard from this special friend who I sent the flowers to and it is because she never received them. I should have checked the reviews on FTD before trusting that name!"

"VERY DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER and VERY POOR SERVICE. I called FTD to order flowers for mothers day 2010 for my mother and grandmother. I confirmed over the phone my two orders with the expectancy that it was to be delivered the day before mothers day. The flowers were never delivered as paid for, and there was no notification to me that they were never delivered, no phone call and no help from customer service. I called on mother's day and the only thing customer service could do was forward my concern to the florist. I even tried to contact the florist several times and the phone was busy. There was no response in regards to my first call or any help given. I called two days later from the date the order was placed and still customer service could not help me and gave me the run around. Yet again another third call 3 days later and this time spoke to someone whom i thought was going to help me like a manager or decision maker and all they could say is we will give you your money back. My fourth call was to a manager at the corporate office. He said there was nothing he could do, said my order was not in the system and the email that was from FTD stating my confirmation of the orders was not from them even though their business name was on the "from" section. I own a business and i understand that its all about the customer and making sure the customer is satisfied and that you can deliver that as a company. There was no understanding of how upset i was that my mother and grandmother did not get their flowers as paid for on Mother's Day. The manager said there was nothing he could do and tried to explain that they are just the middle man to several companies and tried to blame the florist even though i ordered the flowers through their company, FTD. So here i am to send business elsewhere and let customers who are thinking about buying flowers that it is in their best interest not to go through the head ache as i did. This COMPANY FTD IS NOT RECOMMENDED. "
" THIS COMPANY IS RIDICULOUS! I placed an order on April 5 for a May 14 Mother's Day Delivery using a gift certificate from e-rewards and my credit card. The evening of Mother's Day I received an email from FTD stating they were unable to deliver my order and were refunding my money, however, they would give me a $15 discount off my next order my clicking on an attached link. My credit card funds were returned but not my $25 gift certificate. So I complained and they told me I could reuse the $25 gift certificate on a future order but not with the $15 discount. This company obviously does not want to honor the $25 e-rewards gift certificate including not delivering an order made 6 weeks in advance and not allowing me to use their "generous" $15 non-delivery discount in conjunction with the gift certificate. All this hassle plus the fact that my mother -in-law did not receive anything for Mother's Day has certainly made my experience with FTD aggravating to say the least. "
"Order flowers for Valentines day with FTD's web site and order receipt promising that they'll be delivered on Feb 14. But they were never delivered. Phone calls to customer service always resulted in busy signals. Shouldn't these fellows hold the normal online merchant policy of never charging until orders are delivered? "Placed an order for delivery for flowers to my fiance in new york on valentines day. The flowers were never delivered. Till today there is no sign of the flowers. FTD customer support says that the flowers were delivered to my fince. Which is incorrect. Quite disappointed for ruining this special day for us. Will never shop here again ever. Customer Support put me on hold for one hour and still no progress in the queue and i had to hang up."
"Having ordered flowers thru FTD before, I figured I'd get in early on Valentine's day and order on 2/8.
Placed order for 1 dozen medium stem red roses with a bear. Nothing was received on 2/14 as assigned in delivery.
Email attempts only drew what appear to be an automatically generated response of when the order was supposed to ship and the FedEx tracking number.
Contacting FedEx - I found out that they printed their receipt in prep for the package that was never dropped off from the florist.
FTD customer service phone line is either press 1 for new orders or 2 for customer service. Customer service (option 2) immediately becomes a busy signal and drops your call. New Orders wasn't working most of the day (same happening), it is now 7pm 2/15 and I'm on hold with New orders.
I'm fully intent on cancelling the order, demanding a full refund and NEVER using this service again. I'm even so likely as to avoid any florist with an FTD symbol."
"HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I would NOT Recommend doing business with this company! I ordered my Fiance flowers a week ahead of time, and they were never delivered. I feel so sad, and now I look like a real jerk to all of her friends and family. Tried to get ahold of them via phone & e-mails, and I'm getting no response. Apparently they don't care about their reputation too much.
If you're going to order flowers make SURE you do it locally, and in person. "
"NOT RECOMMENDED - No communication regarding the shipment of my order, the carrier, or tracking information. When calling to find out the status of the order 4 different times throughout the day, after getting through the menu system, I get a busy signal. The flowers were not delivered on time. Extremely dissapointed and will never shop here again!"
"Order flowers for my wife for our first Valentine's day as a married couple. I ordered early to be sure the order was set and the flowers got here. Needless to say, the flowers were never delivered. A call to customer service was fruitless. There are hold times of over 45 minutes. Will have to write my credit card company and report them.
********UPDATE******************* After writing the above, the delivery showed up at 6:20PM. The dozen roses turned into 11 and the 11 they did send were dead!!!! It was the sorriest looking arrangement I ever saw. I did not accept delivery and called FTD this morning.
After waiting on hold 30 minutes, I got an unapologetic rep who refunded my money. FTD never again!"

"After many orders from 1-800-flowers only to get old flowers that lasted no more than a day at times, I decided to give FTD a shot. Ordered in the morning, flowers were delivered that day. The arrangement matched the picture, the flowers were fresh and today 4 days later, they are still going strong. The quality difference is amazing. Hopefully this order was not a fluke and I can look forward to many future orders of the same quality."
"Order was never delivered! I placed this order a week early to make sure the corsage would arrive in plenty of time for Mother's Day. The order was scheduled to be delivered on May 6...still, no explanation of why it was never delivered! These time-important events cannot be satisfied with a later delivery. I will never do business with FTD.com again."
"Well FTD is the big daddy of online florists. I have ordered twice from them, once on the big rush day of Valentines and second for someone's birthday.
The ordering process. The company makes it quite clear that when you order delivered orders are actually created by local merchants so you are taking a risk right then and there, although knowingly, and they make a lot of notices to cover themselves.
The actual order (the first order). For instance on my first order I ordered 12 red roses and they have you pick a second color incase that one can't be used. Well I "had" to pick so I picked yellow as it was either that or white and on May 7th the flowers came and they were yellow (of course). I couldn't figure out honestly what florist doesn't carry stock of the most popular rose color. This really isn't a fault of FTD but of the local florist who didn't carry the items in stock. The order went through fine, the card was delivered, and it was on time.
Order #2 (valentines day) This order came this year on Valentines day. I ordered on Friday to try to beat the rush. Order went through fine, got a bouquet of various tropical flower (so that the yellow rose problem doesn't happen again). I was a little bit upset that you couldn't specify a time that you preferred. I was happy though that they delivered it in the morning with no problems on Valentines day, flowers were as promised with the vase and card. Order was smooth.
I do find the prices about average compared to their competitors but as a whole flowers on the internet are overpriced for what you get.
Buy again? I think I would buy again, if i had to buy flowers for someone long distance, and there really aren't many options other than FTD online that have an automated system where you don't have to call and describe what you want. If that person is within driving distance however, I will happily go to the store and know for certain exactly what I am getting."
"I HAD A HALF DOZEN ROSES WITH A BEAR AND VASE DELIVERED TO MY GIRLFRIEND AT WORK. ONE OF THE ROSES WERE BROKE INTO HALF. I EMAILED SAME DAY AND AS OF TODAY 2/21/05 STILL HAVEN'T HAD A RESPONSE TO 2 EMAILS. I CALLED TODAY AND THEY OFFERED ME $5 OFF MY NEXT PURCHASE.
