"They completely omitted the Asiatic lilies that were the hallmark flower of the bouquet I selected. The bouquet was shipped through and delivered by UPS, so they were not delivered until 7pm, and some of the flower petals were bent/folded. There were even a few dead leaves in the bunch, something you never see in hand-delivered bouquets. And to top it off, they only deducted $15 from my order for the $20 Groupon voucher I applied to it!"
"Do not use this site if you expect quality. My mother was traveling to Colorado for her 65th birthday to be with my sister. My wife and I were very excited when we saw the flower cake with cake plate. We ordered it for her even though it was quite expensive. When my sister sent us a picture of what was received it was horrible. Flowers were nothing like the picture. The colors were not like the picture, the set up was messy and they didnt even place it on a cake platter but dropped it off in a bag. I was furious. Even though i called and they were quick to refund me they insisted on coming to pick it up. Of course it would be an inconvenience to stay home waiting for them so i asked to be called, i asked twice and was told they would . I find out later they just showed up. I called to complain about that treatment and they offered me a coupon. I insisted i would not spend more money on their site in the hopes they dont screw it up again. So i asked that they send an apology bouquet. They said it would be done. Unfortunately they did not do it. I called for a fourth time to be told they saw that in the notes but they never followed up as promised so now they said again they would do it. I am still waiting to see if they follow through this time around. I would not waste my money with them again."
"Oh my, where to start... STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS like the pest. They are just a bunch of thieves!!!!!!I ordered a nice "Better" bouquet from them to be delivered in Toronto, ON. The bouquet was a third of the size it should have been, and 8 rose stems had been replaced by cheaper carnations. The third type of flower (forgot what it was) was missing too. All of this for USD $86! Had I known that (it was my first time) I would dropped by my local florist and order 60 rose stems for the same price!!! It's one of the biggest rip offs I've experienced in my life.Their website is also misleading. The one I used from Canada was www.ftd.ca and implied it was a Canadian company and therefore charging in CAD dollars. Well I was wrong. I got charged in USD to my disbelief. Canadians BEWARE.Another point that really upset me . When I complained about the flowers they said they were going to refund 40% of my purchase (the best they could do... supposedly)... I thought this was better than nothing. Turns out the 40% applies to the bouquet only, not to the $16.99 service attached to it. What a rip off FTD... Seriously? No wonder why you get so many bad reviews.I wish there was a commerce police of some kind patrolling the web to spot dodgy companies like FTD and take action to close them for good.ThanksManny"
"I don't know what the big stink is. I ordered 30 roses for my GF and they arrived exactly on the day I ordered the delivery for. 30 roses for $30 and they arrived in pristine condition WITH a vase. You can't beat that. I never write reviews but I read so much bad press AFTER I ordered I was scared. The flowers arrived as advertised, beyond my expectations, so I HAVE to write this review so you people can know what a great job FTD did for ME. THANKS!"
"I ordered flowers for my girlfriends birthday, a Tuesday and not a holiday. Not only did they not even show up on the day (they came the next day), they weren't even close to what I ordered! They supplemented roses for lily's? Nice try. Stay away from this place!"
"FTD is the worst - My husband sent me what should have been a gorgeous bouquet of flowers on our anniversary. Unfortunately, they arrived a day late, almost dead. Apparently they shipped them from Arizona and the flight they were on was cancelled - their response - not our fault tough luck! But I saw on their website that they guarantee their flowers for 7 days. So I called them and they sent me another arrangement. They arrived as schedule, HOWEVER, I have had them for 24 hours and the roses are all but dead. I could probably call and tell them that this order again did not meet their guaranteed quality standards - and I could probably do this for a year- but I don't have the time or the patience. Keep your money - or use a local florist."
"Never again will I use FTD! I ordered flowers for a friend who had a death in the family. The next day I received a delivery confirmation. She didn't get the flowers! I followed up the next day only to be told that there was a problem with the delivery. Then why the Confirmation? After making several phone calls,I was assured that the flowers had finally been delivered. Another lie! After threatening to cancel my order, they finally managed to deliver. A week later, I got a confirmation email. When I complained about the service, they tried to blame me for the fact they didn't deliver the flowers when they were supposed to."
"My son was wonderful enough to send me a large arrangement of flowers for Mother's Day that cost around $80 on FTD.com. I live in Texas and when the flowers were delivered by Fed Ex they were just dumped on my doorstep in the full 90+ degrees afternoon sun. When I opened them there was absolutely no source of moisture packed with the flowers. The Calla Lilies where droopy looking as were the roses. My son called and I thanked him and told him they smelled wonderful. How do you tell someone you love, I'm sorry but all your expense and efforts were for nothing. I followed the directions for care to the letter (even had some room temperature water I had sitting out preparing to water my houseplants that I used) hoping to be able to revive and salvage some of the flowers. By the next day, the Calla Lilies had turned brown around the edges of the bloom, but worse the stems had turned brown and soggy below the blooms and the blooms had fallen over completely since the stems could no longer support them. The roses never opened withered within a couple of days. My son was traveling and when I heard from him next, I broke down and told him he needed to request an adjustment. The more I thought about it the more it bothered me, so after a few weeks I called FTD.com to make certain they knew what had happened and had made an adjustment. First I was told the complaint must be received within seven days of the order, so they wouldn't do anything about it. Don't know if they told my son the same thing, but FTD did say no adjustment had been made. Sometimes, it's not even possible to communicate with the sender during that 7 day period if you consider a couple of days after sale before delivery and a couple of days to be certain the flowers all fail. Then in this busy world that gives you a day or two to contact someone and give them the bad news and sound like a total ingrate and them to make time to contact FTD. FTD showed absolutely no concern regarding the condition in which the flowers arrived. The only thing they offered was a $15 certificate towards a future purchase. Customer service sucks, but worse than that, I've had flowers delivered from as far away and Hawaii numerous times and have never had any arrived in the sorry condition these did. The roses didn't even have the water vials on the stems. If they had even placed wet paper towel in the bottom of the vase, I believe at least some of the flowers might have survived. Also my son was aghast when he learned I'd been sent a do-it-yourself arrangement, that required I trim stems, prepare water, and arrange flowers. It was his understanding the flowers would be delivered from a local florist. BOTTOM LINE: BUYERS BEWARE. FTD.com is a terrible merchant who doesn't care what the condition of their product is when it arrives. They get your money and you get flowers that your local grocery store would throw away rather than sell. And the Purchaser must be the person to call, so that puts the receiver in the position of having to be the complainer regarding their gift to the gifter. Really puts you in an uncomfortable position and I'm sure the sender feels even worse."
"I ordered flowers for mother's day online through FTD. I received an e-mail stating "We regret to inform you that the item you ordered was unavailable at this time in your recipient's delivery area."I called and told them I liked the color combination in the arrangement and wanted carnations included and let them know they could substitute the other flowers. FTD did not use a local florist to do the order. It was shipped via UPS from a neighboring state. When it arrived it was a completely different arrangement, it was smaller and not in good condition. I didn't expect my mother to get a build your own kit for mother's dayDuring the next call I was asked to pick another arrangement, she verified availability and said it would be sent to replace the first. Minutes later she called back to say the arrangement could not be changed and all she could do was send another one like the first one. Out of frustration I agreed. My credit card statement just arrived. FDT refunded the original price of $59.98 and then billed me $89.98 for the second arrangement. It was identical to the first one and arrived in even worse condition.Again, I call FTD to talk to someone with a strong accent, is hard to hear and keeps putting me on hold. I explained I was not informed there would be a refund and a new unauthorized charge. Finally, he said a $30.00 credit would be put on my card. All this to wish my mother a happy day. I felt like FTD bait and switched on the arrangement for a lesser one. By not using a local florist the quality suffered. Then to refund and charge $30.00 more for a replacement that arrived in worse condition. Lesson learned, I will never order flowers online again. We should all do a local florist a favor. Call them, you will get better service, better flowers and be helping a small business instead of an FTD warehouse that apparently doesn't care what your mothers flowers look like."
"NEVER AGAIN. I once ordered flowers for my mother and was mortified and infuriated when she sent me a picture of them. They looked nothing like what I had ordered - wrong blooms, yes, but not even the right color family.I wrote and complained and they delivered a bouquet closer to what I expected. I was pleased at their willingness to right a wrong.I took a chance again for Mother's Day and ordered from them again. I scheduled the delivery for two days before Mother's Day so they'd arrive at my mother's place of work (her preference). They never came. When I checked up on them, I was told my order had been placed for May 31. I was skeptical, but assumed I'd made the error. I had them rescheduled for May 30 (Mom's bday) with a card content change. Then, they called to tell me the flowers couldn't be delivered that day, so I would have to have then delivered May 24. I said no thank you, stick with the 31. I even had the woman repeat the delivery date to me on the phone.Today, May 24, my mom received flowers from FTD with my note. NEVER EVER AGAIN, FTD. You are the worst."
"If zero star rating was available, that's all they deserve. They ruined Mother's Day for my Mom and Mother in Law. I sent both of them bouquets going off the photo pictured online only to discover the bouquets sent were nothing like the pictured photos. They completely misrepresented the item being delivered. The bouquets looked like they were tops $10.99 from the local grocery store and I paid over $75 each with shipping. Very disappointing, very disheartening. I will NEVER use this service again. They are a scam and a fraud. They offered to refund 30% of the sale, not close to being good enough. They are sending me a $20 for the "inconvenience," which will go straight into the trash. There is nothing I can do at this point to make it up to two wonderful Mom's but I sure did learn a hard lesson. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SERVICE!!!!!"
"Same experience as many users here. I placed an order for Mother's Day flowers. Never received shipping/delivery confirmation. I called customer service on Wed 5/15/2013, and was informed that the flowers never got shipped. When was FTD going to inform me of this transgression? Was FTD going to charge my credit card and never deliver the flowers? I do know that 5 days past the expected delivery date, I was never informed. Not to mention, FTD ruined Mother's Day for my family. The customer service representative was not apologetic for ruining Mother's Day. Until FTD changes their corrupt business practices, I will never shop at FTD in the future. I need reliability in the vendor I choose to wish my friends and family happiness through flowers and gift baskets."
"I will never order through FTD again. I ordered Mother's Day flowers and received an e-mail confirmation that the order was going through. I received a call on Wednesday at 5:10 p.m. (3 days AFTER Mother's Day) that they apologized the order never shipped and offered me a whole $10 off to try again. I said I'd never received an e-mail telling me (she confirmed this) and I asked why I was hearing about this 4 days after the fact and she said they were just getting to all of the calls. Makes you realize how many orders did NOT get shipped.I wondered why I never heard from this special friend who I sent the flowers to and it is because she never received them. I should have checked the reviews on FTD before trusting that name!"
"We ordered flowers for mother's day a week in advance. Got a confirmation e-mail and phone call. The flowers were never delivered."
"Go to their facebook page and read the horror stories of outsourced foreign customer support, coupled with total lack of concern.http://www.facebook.com/FTDflowers?fref=tsDon't let your friends and relatives be abused like this. FTD is the sorriest excuse for a company. I order an arrangement that cost total $76.98. My wife receives 14 wilting tulips. I called to complain and was nice about it, even though I had to verify every aspect of the order to confirm who I am. I was told they would deliver a fresh replacement. I agreed and thought everything was well. My wife comes home and says someone from FTD called her cellphone to confirm that she was happy with the order and that I needed to call them back. She told them she was not happy with the order. I called and started letting them know how unhappy I was and wanted to speak to a supervisor. 1 hour and 2 minutes later I finally got a "supervisor"(in a different outsourced location english was almost understandable). He then tries to tell me they can not fill my order of tulips and I would have to change my order. I then told him to refund my money. Now here is the kicker, he wants me to await an email as to when I need to set the vase outside my door for pickup. Oh by the way they also messed up the order for my mom not delivering the vase that was supposed to go with her flowers. Do we think I will be a returning customer? Follow up they called me at 10:05 at night and did not understand why I was not happy they were calling me. They are supposed to reimburse my money, but no apology for ruining mother’s day for two important people in my life."
