"AVOID! They delivered half-dead flowers in a too small vase that was falling over. They claim a 7-day satisfaction guarantee but when I sent them e-mail within that period they never contacted me. I sent a few follow-on e-mails and then received an email saying that since it was such a long time ago and that they hadn't be able to contact me they closed the case! Incompetent or scam artists. Was smart enough to send them an e-mail to custserv@ftd.com with a picture of the flowers within the 7-day period (legal proof) and are now disputing the credit card charge."
"Never use this service! I ordered two arrangements for Mother's Day, one for mom and the other for my mother-in-law, and was very dissatisfied! My mother-in-law received her arrangement on time but it looked very cheap and nothing like what we ordered! That was the best scenario. My mother never got any flowers. I called on Monday to complain and was given the run around and then promised it would be delivered Tuesday with a 20% discount. I reluctantly agreed because I wanted her to get the flowers. Mistake. They never came. I called again and was put on hold while the rep "contacted the florist". They said that my mom had received and signed for them. Lie. They refused to give me the name of the florist so I could try and see what was happening. Finally, I was going to call back today to demand a refund when my mom called to say she had finally received the flowers (5 days late) and although she appreciated my thought, it was the worst arrangement she had ever seen! It was just red carnations and white daisies, untrimmed, stuck in an ugly vase full of yellow slimy leaves! She had to take it apart, clean the flowers and put it back together again just to make it attractive. I was so embarrassed and angry that she received such garbage when I paid almost $70 for these flowers. Lesson learned: never use this kind of service to save some money. Call a local florist directly so you have someone to hold accountable."
"Ordered flowers on a tue to be delivered on Friday. .. On sat i come to find out the flowers were never delivered.. ..FTD customer service was horrible. They offered a 10 percent discount on my next order with the promise that the flowers would be delivered on Tuesday (2 days after mothers day). i just simply thought that it was absolutely ridiculous and shady. SO after being placed on hold 4 times and talking with them over an hour.. Nothing could be worked out and eventually they finally conceded to giving my a refund. Huge waste of time and overall frustrating and disappointing. "
"STAY AWAY! I ordered flowers for my mother in law for mother's day. They were supposed to be delivered Friday and when I never received a call by Sunday I called to ask if she had received them. She had not. So after spending 30 minutes on the phone with FTD's customer service I was told that the florist they were using was closed for the day and they would have to call them tomorrow and get back to me. I never heard from them the next day, so I again called, at the same time and was put on hold to call the florist. Well, it turns out the florist they had chosen does not deliver to my MIL address, so they were never going to be delivered! The customer service agent tried to get me to use their second choice florist, but I said forget it and asked for a refund. They were never going to inform me that they could not deliver to my mother in law OR follow up with the florist!"
"FTD is the worst business ever. I wish I would have read the reviews first. I ordered flowers at 8 in the morning, was guaranteed they would arrive before 5 pm. Called back 4 times and every single time they told me the flowers are on their way and will arrive before 5. 5pm came and she had not received my gift so I looked like the bad person even though they sent me a confirmation email at 4:40pm...not to mention the run around they have me while trying to figure our where my order is...
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PLACE!"

"This ONE TIME I didn't check ResellerRatings.com, and I really should have. The full story is too agonizing to go into. I do not have the energy for it. Suffice it to say that when a member of my family died, what should have been a simple kind gesture was turned into an absolute gut-wrenching nightmare by FTD. It would not have been so bad if over $300 of flowers wasn't on the line. To me, that's a lot of cash, and I can't just let things slide.
Endless time on the phone, lies, hassles, misinformation, consternation, and confusion. They changed the order without my consent, didn't deliver to one of the recipients at all, and delivered the wrong thing to another. They placed my order on hold and didn't tell me.
My mother--already going through a ton of stress--was put through more. I was so upset by my fifth phone call (with a person who barely spoke English) that I was shaking, and borderline enraged.
I have placed THOUSANDS of online orders over the years. I place several hundred per year, in fact. I have ordered from all sorts of vendors all over the world, including China and Russia. But FTD.com is by far THE WORST online retailer I have encountered.
"WORST flower place EVER!!!! Ordered flowers on Sat May 12th for Mothers day FTD emailed me on Sunday May 13th which is Mother's Day and sayed that they can't deliver the flowers that it will be Tuesday May 15th, I said okay on Tuesday, Tuesday came around they sent another e-mail which said that they can't deliver because they no longer have that flower arrangement in so I order a different flower arrangement and FTD gaurenteed that my Mother would receive the flowers that day. At 8:49 pm I recieve another e-mail saying that they can't deliver the flowers but they can tomorrow on Wednesday May 16 I was very upset but again agreed and again they guaranteed the delivery received a phone call again on Wednesday 16 saying they do not have that flower arrangement. It's been 5 days sinceI placed that oreder so I cancelled through them and will NEVER do business with FTD company again...Plus last year my Mother's flowers died 2 days after she recieved them... Ordered through another company and what a great experience. PLEASE DO NOT ORDER FLOWERS THROUGH FTD"
"FTD is THE WORST company on the entire planet for delivering flowers. I ordered 2 separate bouquets for mothers day, one for my mother and one for my mother in law. BOTH of them were messed up and here a week later my mother still hasn't received her flowers and the representative claims this is my fault because I didn't respond to her several attempts at contacting me to see what I wanted to do.... WTF? I WANT TO SEND FLOWERS IDIOT. I don't want to email you or talk on the phone about anything. Send the flowers and thats it. My mother in law got a bouquet and no card resulting in her calling a family member to ask if they sent the flowers, they took the credit and a total family brawl ensued. Over flowers. This company SUCKS."
"FTD must stand for Failed To Deliver. Completely messed up a Mother's Day order. I spent an hour on Mother's Day trying to sort it out after I received email notification that they could not make the delivery. The customer service supervisor promised that the flowers would be there late Sunday. On Monday I was contacted that the flowers were not delivered and the first available date was the Wednesday after. "
"I had a horrible experience with FTD and would recommend against using them. I had ordered flowers for my mother for Mother's Day on the 9th they were delivered on the 11th and then died, by the next morning they were dead. I tried to call customer service but the wait time was over 35 minutes so I emailed them on May 13th and asked them to send new flowers to my mother, and that they had moved her to a new hospital and I had added the new address. Today is May 15th and I have yet to get an emailed response so I called customer service and was on the phone for 27 minutes with a horrible rep who was hard to understand and downright rude. Because there was a change on the delivery address she made me give her my credit card information again, which is ludicrous! I asked her many times to that she will NOT be charging my card and she assured me she wouldn't ... I do hope that's true but it should never be something they need to fix their mistake.
The worst part is that my mother, who was in the hospital didn't have any flowers for Mother's Day and that's something they can't fix.
Anyway, between the poor quality of product and horrible customer service, I say stay very very far away from FTD."
