"I brought my macbook pro in to have windows loaded onto it so i could run a program called ArcGIS. I tried to do this myself but could not create a partition on the harddrive. When i brought the computer in i asked if they could do this and also load the ArcGIS Program after they finished with loading windows. They then called me back to tell me i needed a new hard drive and they suggested some expensive large capacity hard drive. I further questioned them on why my one year old computer needed a new hard drive they were rude and seemed irritated that i would even ask questions. I told them to put the least expensive hard drive on the computer and received a call the next day saying that they had been able to load windows onto the computer and did not have to replace the hard drive. They told me they had to backup all of my files, wipe my hard drive and reload everything and create a new partition. This is EXACTLY what the installation manual said to do in the case that a partition could not be created. I never needed a new hard drive. When i picked up my computer i asked if they had also loaded my ArcGIS program (i left the disc with them). They told me they hadn't and they had never seen such a disc with my computer. They told me they would look hard for my disc and call me first thing monday. I received a call the following wednesday asking ME if i I had found the disc. Thankfully i had a student version of this disc because the non-student version of the program with compatible tools and functions costs about 5000$. I can only assume the program was either thrown away or stolen by an employee because they "searched everywhere for it". I would never recommend this store to anyone. I would much rather drive to Salt Lake and go to a REAL mac store where they actually value their customers."
"I've bought several times a year from Expercom since 2004 and they are terrific. They have great, responsive customer service. It's always easy to get a live person on the phone and their staff is highly knowledgeable, courteous and patient. Their prices are excellent, they ship promptly - they're just great. A big plus - this is the only mail order reseller I know of who sells built to order Macs, same as you would get from the Apple store. You get a discount, and no tax. Pretty nifty."
"Awful service! Took in my Macbook for a problem with wireless connectivity issues. After 8 days, I got a call saying tney had repaired my dvd burner. What? I picked it up and took it to the Apple store who fixed the real problem in 2 days. NEVER AGAIN will I take any product there for repair. Avoid this place!"

"I was referred to Expercom by a friend when I told him that my child had spilled Jell-O into our MacBook. We were mortified because the unit would not boot up and was just flashing hopelessly. I called Eric at ExperCom. He said they could pull it apart an try to clean it (for $40 to $80). I was expecting an $800 motherboard replacement. I took it in, and they called me an hour later to say that they had cleaned the Jell-O off the RAM chip and that the unit was working happily - cost = $40. PRAISE GOD AND EXPERCOM !!!!!!!!!!!"
"Roger was very helpful, on the phone, answering all my questions to my satisfaction. The price just seemed to cheep. I took a chance on a referb iMac. Shipped next day. Arrived in great shape and was more than stated . . . G5 no Core 2 Dual instead with new Apple Keyboard and new super mouse, OS X software and rebuild discs, drive wiped and new OS installed. All on a referb machine. These guys do what it takes to sell a referb machine that is useable when you take it out of the box and plug it in. All at unbelievable prices!"
"For those who have been thinking about buying Mac Products from Expercom. Just do it!!!
I have made a total of 5 purchases in the past (iMac 2.8, MacBook 2.4, Aiport, MAC Pro, MacBookPro 2.6) and the company is reliable. Pricing is good and most orders are processed the same day and you'll be receiving your goodies within a few days depending on the shipping option."
"I bought a new iMac from these guys at a great price and am very satisfied. It came with additional RAM as part of a promotion, one of which turned out to be broken--they immediately sent me a replacement without a fuss."
"I recently purchased four PowerBooks (3 separate orders) within one week. My customer is having problems with one of the laptops - sporadic shutdowns and a dead PRAM battery. At my expense, I've taken the laptop to the Apple Store for a new battery and the next day the new battery died. Taking the laptop back to Apple, they could not isolate the problem and said it is probably a sporadic & unpredictable problem and not worth pursuing further (would cost as much to fix than getting another refurbished unit.)
Since this unit is still with the so-called "90 Day Warranty" I sent an e-mail to Expercom to try to resolve this problem. I've gotten no response to my e-mail. I've twice tried to call their 1-888- .... number, and no-one has answered the phone, only got their recorded message which does not have a 'leave a message' option.
I like their prices - I like the fact they seem to be on the ball in fulfilling my orders and shipping them in a timely fashion - I am happy with my previous business with Expercom. However, the support side of the company needs some work. I'm starting to fear that I'll end up losing money on this transaction."
"Great experience. They had the best price on an iMac 24" with 4gb memory. They even installed it. No tax, .01 shipping. Great service. They sent me the order number at Apple so I could see when it shipped. Will certainly go to them first for any Apple purchases."
"Excellent, quick and efficient service, with the cheapest price on the net I could find for a MacBook and extras. Tried to cancel a case I ordered and since they sent it accidentally they even refunded the money for it while I got to keep it!!! What more can you possibly expect from a store? Roger was very helpful on the phone, given the store's harsh policy for verifying credit cards for first time customers. Highly recommended."
"Excellent service. No quibble return policy and very reasonable prices. I was a very particular customer and the staff handled my countless questions in a polite and proffesional manner. "
"Exper had the standarde price on a Powerbook G4, they were throwing in 512mb of memory, and charging only one cent to ship it. Plus, they left it up to me to pay the California sales tax rather than collecting it themselves, which is nice. They also gave me a great deal on the Applecare warranty. The item arrived in just two days, but was missing the free memory. A couple of emails later, they apologized and sent out the memory. Sometimes the true indicator of a vendor's reputation is when they make up for a mistake and Esper did that just great. They also have knowledgeable people who answer the phone and appear to be Mac experts, rather than drones sitting in a cube farm. I'd definitely do business with them again."
"I was apprehensive in purchasing from this company since i could not find any reviews about them anywhere. The apple G5 dual 2.5 was being offred for 2999 free shipping/no tax with extra 1 GB of ram. Went ahead with the order, they had to register over the phone as well as take the order since it was my first order from them. The guy was very polite and fast, and so was the shipping-got everything in about 4 days. I've been flying ever since. Guess i got lucky but wanna pass it on."
"After having a bad experience with a different seller, I received an email from Expercom (I had signed up to receive their news) stating to call for a good price on the very item I was looking for. They had it, the best price I had found from an authorized Apple reseller, and UPS Ground shipping was only $0.01. I got the invoice and valid tracking info almost immediately, and it arrived within one business week. Couldn't have asked for a better transaction."
