I ordered a bicycle cyclometer that their website said was in stock, and received an order confirmation via email which listed the correct item. I received my order in 2 days, which was great. However, they sent the wrong part, which did not have all the features of my ordered item, and was worth less. Their return policy on their website states they will accept unopened merchandise if returned within 14 days, and issue a refund minus a 15% restocking fee and, charge for the original full shipping costs. They also promise to issue credit within 21 days.
I returned the item Priority Mail after 5 days, and have not received any credit to my CC. In addition, I called the contact # listed on their website, only to get a voice messaging service, at which I left a message with my order & phone # but never received a response. I also sent an email through their website, explaining that I received the wrong part, would they do an exchange or issue me credit? Never got a reply. I included a letter with my returned item, asking them to exchange that item for the correct one, or at least email me letting me know they received my return and would issue a credit. I have never heard from them.
I can only deduce one of two things: Either they never received my returned item, which I find hard to believe, as I've never had any problems returning items Priority Mail. OR, they are ignoring me and this is part of how they do business and make a profit, by sending the wrong item valued at less than the ordered item. Since I have made 4 other attempts to contact them with no response, I am guessing the latter.
Before ordering, I read reviews of Everythinginstock, and they were good. I don't know what happened in my case, but I will never order anything from them again. I am currently submitting a claim with my CC company to get the charges credited to my account.
