"I received my monitor ViewSonic VX2433wm 24" on Saturday. I purchased it NEW (not overstock/bstock/refurb/as is,etc) from entercomputers. The box was in perfect shape, and had no damage whatsoever. As I was unpacking it, I noticed two large scratches on the monitor. These scratches were present before taking the plastic bag off, and I'm not entirely sure how this could have happened during shipping. It also looks like the sticker on the back of the monitor listing the model/serial number has been removed/replaced/tampered with. There were also fingerprints on the monitor bezel, as well as a small scratch/dent on the side of the monitor's plastic bezel. I understand damage in shipping can occur (but the condition of the box is perfect, and the items inside were packed in such a way that they couldn't have shifted) but fingerprints? Further the dent/scratch on the side of the bezel is telltale, I simply cannot see how this damage would have happened during shipping. The damage to the screen is also disturbing, as I don't see how this could have happened during shipping, the plastic wrapping the monitor was not punctured, nor were there any items that could have scratched the monitor.

This monitor was clearly damaged before shipping, and likely is not new as advertised.

I would be happy to supply photographs of the damage in question, and understand the sooner this is resolved, the better.

Let me know when I can expect a return shipment label and a RMA.

Look at the return policy, which explains why I haven't received a response (7 day deadline), and I may even be charged LABOR for damages? And I'm going to have to pay a 15% restock fee because my item is technically 'working'?:

Missing or damaged items due to via shipping will be replaced or exchanged only.

This policy along with the number of people claiming they were sent refurbished/damaged/rebaged items seem to go hand in hand. I mean, I'm now essentially stuck with a monitor that isn't new, never actually received the product I ordered, and if I DO send it back (if I ever receive any contact from entercomputers, it's now been two days...) I'll likely end up getting hit for $80 to the entire purchase price of $188, as I'm guessing they can just claim the damage happened on my end, and charge me for all of it. What a great scam. Can't you see how that return policy is built to cover their behinds after they send out damaged/repaired goods and folks want a full refund?

Knew I should have put this one on the AMEX. Point blank, look at all the other folks claiming this same issue, refurbed/repaired goods sold as new, and then a little to no help from entercomputers.com

UPDATE:

After posting these reviews, enter computers found that Viewsonic had accidentally sent them a used monitor rather than a new one. They offered to replace the monitor, but I took a refund instead.

The matter is resolved (and was resolved promptly after posting this review), and all I can speak to is to the condition the monitor was received, that I did receive a full refund, and point a prospective shopper to other reviews, many of which are positive.

"I purchased a new BenQ monitor from their website. Nowhere was it listed as refurbished, so I assumed it's new. The power button on it recently broke. I called BenQ and gave them the serial number of the unit and they said the unit had been repaired a few months before it was sold to me and is refurbished.

So EnterComputers.com sold me a refurbished model when I paid for a new one, which is deceptive and fraudulent. I've contacted them but they refuse to do anything about it."

"I purchased an HP Officejet J6480 Multifunction Printer from Enter Computers two weeks ago and I can say that I am very satisfied by my purchase. It is not only that the printer has a wireless connection, but I got it from Enter Computers brand new and from a very low price. I called the company for any assistance before I made my purchase and the people in the company are really helpful, from giving me the best printer, best price, to helping me place my order. And to top it all, I also received my product the following week, July 6, with their free ground shipping. I did not only got the product with the best price, but also had a free shipping. Their response to my order was very fast.

I will definitely buy from them again."

"I ordered a printer from EnterComputers.com on May 26th 2009, it was to ship on the 27th and arrive to my office on June 1st. This did not happen. When I called FedEx on June 1st and gave them the tracking number emailed to me on the 27th they said they received no such package. I called EnterComputers.com they said it was that they found out that it was backordered just moments ago. I was pushed to wait at least a week maybe more until they got more inventory and they would not answer why I had not been told about it being back ordered at anytime during the week since my order. They refused to upgrade my shipping or compensate me in any way. One thing EnterComputers.com did not forget was to bill my credit card in full on May 27th."

“Some of our products ships out directly from the manufacturers. In this case, we had to wait for the manufacture to ship the product out. Customer was contacted and informed about the delay. Customer decided to wait for product.”

"I ordered an HP G4050 Scanner from Enter Computers. It was the lowest price anywhere AND had free shipping. I received it today, and it came in the expected time frame based on where it was shipped from.

It came in a factory sealed box inside a shipping box. There could have been a little more packing material in the shipping box, but it was basically double boxed so no worries. Everything that was supposed to be included was in there. The 35mm negative carrier was missing, but there was an extra medium format carrier so I believe this was an error from HP, not the reseller.

I have not tried it out yet, but since this review is of the reseller and not the product it looks to me like any future problems would not have anything to do with Enter Computers. Based on that I would not hesitate to recommend them."

"I purchased a product from EnterComputers and was doing some more online shopping and came across a message board about internet dealers scamming unsuspecting customers. Enterompcuters was on that list of bad dealers. I saw negative reviews about Entercomputers over and over on a message board forum saying they are the same company as Compubiz. So I checked on some business owner look up sites and it was TRUE! Stay away from Compubiz and EnterComputers they are the same owners! They hide behind different company names. Thank god you are able to lookup owners of businesses to see who they really are. There is a message board I ran across that talks about internet scammers and Compubiz and Enterscomputers has come up numerous times. They are known to sell used and broken products that have been fixed as new products. If you dont believe me look it up and you will see its owned by the same people! I was lucky enough to cancel my order but I still haven't recieved my refund from these guys!
