"These people do not know how to run a business. My order was cancelled by them, still charged my credit card even though when I called they said their policy was not to charge till they ship. Talked to a supervisor and told him I could not afford to pay for it twice, he then said he would refund my money, and I foolishly told him I would reorder, he then made the stupid statement "Oh you want the part and not the money", he said for the confusion he would upgrade me to 2 day shipping, 2 days later it never came and the money was refunded into my account. Glad it was I took my money and business elsewhere, never will deal with these idiots ever again."

"Their parts price might be the lowest (this might be the tricky part of the all ordering process).
However, there is no shipping cost and no tax info available online or through email even after you placed the order.
They simply collected my shipping and credit card information and no final confirmation step, no confirmation email.
And I was told that "no way to cancel the order" and "no one else can help" after I called to confirm the shipping cost and decided to cancel the order because of the shipping cost is unacceptable."

"Encompass sold parts they didn't have. Expected me to wait weeks until they got the part and then forwarded to me. They refused to cancel order until I threatened them with non-payment. Lovely, and a bit criminal. Somewhere, behind the scenes there's a criminal idiot running things. Also, behind scenes is a boss that is incapable of making necessary personnel actions. YOU WASTED MY TIME!!!

"I ordered a part for my washer on a Monday and they took all my info and stated that the part would be shipped that day. I called them back on Wed. to inquire the shipping method(which I forgot to ask). The girl stated that the part was not in stock and I should have it by Monday the 24th. Monday is here and I called again and NOW they say that the credit info was lacking and the part would not be shipped until today and it would take 5-7 days from GA to Ohio. I asked why didn't someone call me and ask for the correct number and my only response was "Someone should have." I then called customer service to report my wait for 2 weeks and they could do nothing. If you can get a part somewhere else online, do it. This is not the place to order parts for your LG. Their customer service is "lousy". "

"A lttle bit of a wait on the phone before talking to a sales person. my order was taken quickly and the part a remote control arrived a few days later. I would use Encompass again. "

"Worst customer service ever.

Called in on June 12, asking for a part. They tell me part would definitely arrive at their warehouse by the first week of August. Ordered item, card was charged on June 14, received order confirmation email. It is now July 27th, called customer service to see if everything is going accordingly and if I would receive my item soon. They tell me that the part is still back ordered until August 28th. I ordered a part for an air conditioner unit. What the f**k am I going to do with an air conditioner in September??? Asked to speak to a manager and the manager was nothing but rude and condescending. His response literally was, "well you can either wait or we can issue a refund to you." Worst f**king customer service ever. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

EDIT 7/30/12:
Called to cancel my order today and they are refusing to do so! Bunch of bulls**t!"

"Ordered a part last week. Website said my card was approved. I got an email confirmation of the order.

Emailed today asking what was going on, they said it was cancelled due to my card not being approved. Contacted my bank, they said Encompass had done two $1 preauthorizations back to back, which triggered the fraud protection and cancelled my debit card.

The $1 preauths instead of charging the full amount for an "in stock" part is bad enough. The fact that nobody bothered to contact me to say "oh our website lied, your order never went through" after several days.. instead of waiting for me to contact them? Completely unacceptable.

Responding to the email they sent back got an auto reply saying "I get a lot of emails, somedays not able to answer them all", despite them responding to my initial query within 5 minutes and my response going out 15 minutes later.

"Purchased a blower wheel for my ac, came in 3 days, order was protected in bubble wrap, tracking number and shipping information was provided the next days after I ordered, will order again!"

"I was referred to this site by LG as a reseller of their remote controls. Since I was referred by LG I did something that I usually don't and that was I didn't check any reviews. Man I wish I would have. I ordered a simple remote that the website said was in stock, but then as others I got an invoice saying it was backordered. If I have known that I wouldn't have ordered from them as I bought an open box tv and I really need to remote to properly program it. Here I am a week and a half later, no remote, finally got a tracking number that just updated today saying I won't get the remote for another week!!! A simple remote! While their prices are good, service and shipping are horrible. I made a call about the remote and the representative had no idea about the back order. Horrible experience, would not recommend to anyone who wants an item in a respectable amount of time. Oh and perhaps I wouldn't be so upset if this was free saver shipping or something but I actually paid for this pony express speed service!"

"I placed an order because the site said the part was in stock but next day when I got the email confirmation it shows the part as being in backorder. I called and I tried to argue the fact the website showed part in order and the agent had no answer telling me to email or call a different department to find out when the part will be in stock. I sent various emails to contacts on their website and they all bounced .... After reading some of the reviews on this website I learned about this email customercare@encompass.com which after I send an email to this address complaining about my problem I received an invoice within a few hours with a tracking number showing that my item was shipped. Within 3 days the part was delivered to my house. I'm happy the part arrived without any issues and the shipping was fast, but I'm still scared with doing future business since it doesn't appear they got their stuff together. They need to better their inventory that shows up on the website and their staff answering the phone calls should be more aware of whats going on to avoid future costumer complaints."

"I made an online purchase with encompass. After the purchase conformation was sent, they had tacked on a $299 core charge for the part. I called a rep and told the rep I wasn't aware of this charge before the purchase and couldn't afford to take the risk of them refuseing my board and not getting credit for the core. I was instructed to refuse the shippment, which I did, and I would be refunded. I figured I would get most of my money back less shipping and restock fees. Not the case. They refuse to give any money back and simply give me a run-around every time I call. They finally told me not to call, they would call me. I even have the conformation e-mail where the received the returned board. That is bad business. I suggest you ship somewhere else because I found a better deal a moduslink with no hidden charges. I wish I could get my money back from these......"

"I also had a positive experience ordering a Toshiba laptop hinge from Encompass Parts. In my case, it was a new left hinge for my A15-S157, part number P000377630. Cost was $13.33 plus $10.32 S/H (as another reviewer noted, the shipping cost is not confirmed until after you place an order). The part was backordered but it came back in stock within 3 days and shipped quickly. The same hinge runs $50 or more on eBay so I am pleased."

"I made my order and was leery of the TBD postage, so I called and ask for the S&H charges. The rep told me $8.50. So, I made my order over the net and got an email invoice with $10.84 S&H for two $10 Toshiba A45-S120 hinges. Still not too bad, since the only other new pair found on Ebay were $154.00 !! I got them in a week and they were Toshiba originals exactly like the originals....PERFECT. For those interested, mine was a "C" in the battery tray and TOS P000392260 BRAKE HINGE, RIGHT ASSY 1 1 0 $10.00 Available
TOS P000394150 BRAKE HINGE, LEFT ASSY 1 1 0 $10.00 Available fit perfectly and were exactly like the originals. I say Vance Baldwin Electronics of Florida, (800) 432-8542 ROCKS !! FIVE STARS!!"
