This customer saw the FreeShipping.com offer on our site which is a paid membership to a rebate club, fully explained by clicking on their advertisement. We received the BBB complaint and decided to make the customer happy by refunding the shipping. We then asked the customer to please reconsider this rating, and they did so by amending their written rating and leaving the low score. We feel this is very unfair of this cusstomer. We did nothing wrong here, but tried to make the customer happy anyway.”

We require signature on items over a certain value. We do allow you to have items shipped to a different address, and most of our customers would have an item like this shipped to their place of employment or somewhere that does not require the carrier to leave it out for anyone to pick up and walk off with it.
The PayPal issue you describe in your complaint is not our issue. You were pushed back to the shopping cart because PayPal rejected your order. )Could be a problem with your information on file at PayPal, i.e. card possibly needs updating.)
Rather than slam us like this, a simple telephone call to us could have corrected your delivery issue in about 5 minutes. Our phone number is posted more clearly on our site than most.
We have great ratings. We work very hard to keep our customers safe while still giving them the care and service they deserve for the lowest price possible.”
"Fradulent "free shipping".
I purchased a product that was listed on various shopping sites as having free shipping. After ordering the product, I noticed that a $11.60 shipping charge has been added. The confirmation email had a link to freeshipping.com and indicated that I could receive a rebate of up to $15 by following the link. After following the link and signing up with freeshipping.com - which was a very difficult process and required entering a credit card number - I was told that if I mailed (i.e., USPS) various documentation to freeshipping.com, they would consider giving me a rebate of up to $10.00. I immediately canceled my membership to freeshipping.com, and contacted ElectronicsShowplace.com asking them to resolve the situation. They responded with an email that said I was at fault for not understanding their definition of "free shipping".
Update: After I complained to the BBB, ElectroincsShowplace refunded the $11.60. I am a disappointed about having to go through so much trouble to get this resolved, but in the end, I got my product in a timely fashion, and was charged what I considered to be the correct price.
