"The prices are great...but in order to get them you have to put up with a lot of hassle.
You have to call to confirm your order, they try to upsell you, add on bogus shipping/insurance charges, etc. Their phone system is poor so it's hard to get somebody to address your issues.
Ultimately I got a good product at a good price, but had to send emails and call a few times to get extra charges off the invoice and my credit card."
"I went with 'em for their low prices but almost canceled the order (3 times!) as the fellow on the telephone kept aggressively trying to increase the cost via shipping insurance and a bulb replacement plan that he offered/insisted upon repeatedly. It wasn't anything terrible, just an annoyance that I didn't have the time or interest to deal with. The projector came promptly and was in great condition, so that's a plus. Oddly enough, they called me 3 times without leaving a message after the sale went through, all in the name of filling out this review... --- Also: after reading through the reviews here, it seems pretty likely that I'll get a call in a day or two trying to resolve my complaints, which are remarkably similar to another reviewer's (up-selling, follow-up phone calls, etc). "Horrible experience! Ordered DVD player 4 November and nothing received as of today. Called many times and was told since I took the "free shipping" they couldn't give me information. Now (all of the sudden) they said my player was lost or missing from fedEX and I would have to wait who knows how long for when/if they get this "older model" in (this is not an older model). Then customer sales rep #201 tried to sell a sub-par player instead. It is the old bait and switch!!! Don't buy from them ever!"
"I ordered Samsung a BDC7900 3-D Blu-Ray and UN46C8000 3-D HDTV on December 10, 2010 from ELECTROZONE on-line.... BLUF, I would have to seriously re-consider using this company again for another big dollar purchase. Based on my experience a 5-10% cost savings just does not seem to be worth the hassles I've detailed below. Some people however may place their values differently than I do. Here's my own personal experience:
Good news: I received my 3-D HDTV without a hitch 13 days after I ordered, but still within the 7-14 day time advertised. The local delivery service was prompt and courteous. Bad news: The ELECTROZONE web page showed the Blu-Ray to be "In-stock" at the time of my order. It was also confirmed by the ELECTROZONE up-sale staff who I contacted to confirmed my order. They also informed me of my additional insurance shipping fees during my call to them. I was not informed until 10 days after ordering that the Blu-Ray model I ordered was no longer available in the ELECTROZONE warehouse system. At such time I was offered and I agreed to evaluate a refurb model with a 2-yr warranty included. Unfortunately, another week passed without receiving the refurb and was told on Dec 28 when I again contacted ELECTROZONE that it would most likely be another week before I could expect to see the refurb model. At such time I choose to request that ELECTROZONE cancel the Blu-Ray portion of my order and credit my card back. They did so immediately and without out hesitation or hassle. Later the same day ELECTROZONE offered to have a refurb model express mailed to me at their expense. In the mean time I was able to locate and order the exact same BDC7900 3-D Blu-Ray (only in factory new condition) through another internet vendor and at a comparable price. According to current real time tracking data being provided I expect to have the unit delivered to me (at no additional cost, btw) by Friday Dec 31, only 3 days from date of order.
PROs: 1) No question pricing is a plus for ELECTROZONE. 2) In my particular case the manager I dealt with was always polite, professional and courteous, which was good. 3) ELECTROZONE always promptly "reacted" to my initiated questions and at least appeared to try. Unfortunately waiting 10 days to tell me something was not in-stock was unacceptable, then taking another 2 weeks to get the alternative solution into my hands was simply the nail in the coffin. CONs: 1) Unfortunately the ELECTROZONE manager seemed to always be pressed into a "reactive" mode (or damage control) with me, rather than proactive mode. 2) Another really important issue to me (also identified by many others in this forum) was that I do not like the fact that ELECTROZONE does not tell you until after you order the TV what your bottom line cost is. Yes, if you read the fine print (but how many people really do) ELECTROZONE does tell you there will an additional charge for shipping "insurance" on a high cost items. That's fine (it's an ELECROZONE cost of doing business), but I think you should ALWAYS be provided your bottom line cost BEFORE handing over your credit card, not AFTER. 3) There is no real time tracking provded without additional cost.
I suspect ELECTROZONE may be encountering some growing pains. ELECTROZONE owners need to re-evaluate their business process model to allow their managers/staff to stay better informed about current inventory fluctuations/issues. Managers/staff on the other hand need to adapt and take timely, more immediate proactive steps to inform and help solve potential/probable customer impacts. For me, reactive measures (such as offering future purchase discounts to smooth things over in hopes that I write a rosy final review) simply does not cut it with me. At least they tried... "

"Quite frankly I don't understand how this company has received so many high reviews and suspect that the company is padding its own reviews. I was forced to call the company so that they could force me to purchase insurance for shipping the product. That alone would be fine, but the salesman was extremely rude and confrontation when I asked why I wasn't informed of this when I placed the order online. Later I tried to cancel the order and ended up being received by another extremely rude customer service representative. Sure some of their prices are low, but the prices are almost as low on other sites where you don't have to deal with this crap. It's not worth dealing with these people."
"In a word, my entire experience sucked. no joke. I was told that the delivery would be in 7-10 days. It took 20 days (arriving 12/23/10). I ordered 3 TVs, they came in 2 different deliveries, and only 1 was not damaged in shipment. the first TV delivered, the stand was completely broken. When electrozone called me, their customer service person actually hung up on me. I had to call back and get someone different. The 63" plasma plays with a 2-3 inch vertical red stipe down the entire screen. It comes and goes but it is on approximately 50% of the time. Lastly, having paid $200 more for white glove so the shipping company would set up and dispose of the packaging, both times (same company, same guys) said they NEVER take the packaging. Electrozone said they would take care of it for the second delivery, and also compensate me for the aweful first delivery. but to no avail. what a waste!!!! I will never use them again and steer anyone I like away from them."
"I was not able to complete my internet order without speaking to this company by phone. I don't use phone during business hours only email so had to cancel this order, as they didn't respond to email or phone messages that were left after hours - when a phone was available."
"STOP! www.electrozone.com runs something like Bait and Switch outfit. They probably pad their reviews to keep them high! They bait people by advertising low prices on items that are advertised as “new” but they are actually selling refurbished items at a high price. After I placed an order for a Samsung LN46A550 I got an email asking me to call them to confirm the details of the order. Side note: the Electrozone price was $1,099 for a NEW LN46A550, the Amazon price at that time was $1,150 for the same TV in NEW condition. Other website including Amazon were selling used, open box, refurbished … TVs for $800 to $1000. After about a week, I did not call them so they called me and said that the TV I ordered was “new” but needed to be labeled as refurbished because of some technical reason. I told them I did not care how it was labeled as long as it was NEW, and in its original unopened packaging! They said it was “new” and would be shipped directly from Samsung so I, like a foolish person, placed the order. The TV arrived about 9 days later and it WAS NOT NEW, not in its original packaging, and looked (I could only see the top of the TV from the outside of the box) like it had been used. I called Electrozone immediately and was transferred to Luis who said to open it and test it out. I told him I ordered a NEW TV and would not except anything less. He said I could refuse the delivery and he would refund the full amount so I did. Well, it has been 9 days and still no refund! I called today and Luis said I should see it by Monday (five days from now). I will update this review after I receive a full refund.
UPDATE: I am pleased to report that one day after I posted the above review, ElectroZone gave me a full refund. Based on my experience with them, I would not recommend conducting business with them.
UPDATE #2: Over the past month I have been called by Allen (supposable he is one of the owners) about 5 times. He assures me that they are not a Bait and Switch operation and has apologized for the negative experience that I had with them. He has offered to “make it up” to me by giving me a discount on the next order that I make with ElectroZone. Allen’s says that he is “trying to build a business” and that negative reviews make it difficult to do so. As a result of Allen’s efforts to make things right, I am adding this update to this review."

"I went to a lot of different brick and mortar as well as online stores to compare TV's and prices. I used that information to determine what type and model of TV I could afford to purchase and which would best suit my needs. I narrowed my search to two different stores (B&H Photo and Electrozone) based on price as well as customer reviews of stores. I have ordered several things online before, but I was still a little skeptical about ordering an expensive big screen TV online. A lot of the Electrozone store reviews I read helped to put my mind at ease. I am so glad I ordered my Samsung LN52A630 LCD TV from their store! I ordered the TV on March 27th, and I received it on April 6th. I was amazed at how quickly I got my TV as I opted for the free shipping.
I also want to describe my entire ordering process as well. I ordered directly through Electrozone's website which was incredibly easy to do. I had no hassles or issues using their site to complete my transaction. I got an email the following day stating that I had to call to verify my order. I was fine with that. I called the store to verify my purchase. The person who I talked to tried to sell cables and an extended warranty. The salesman did not use a lot of pressure. When I told him I had everything I needed, he was fine with my answer which I liked. He went on to tell me my TV would ship out in a couple of days. I received an email a few days later stating that my TV had been shipped out. I did not get any tracking information as a part of the free shipping method I selected, but I knew that was going to happen in advance. Anyway, my TV arrived a few days later in perfect condition. The picture is amazing! On a side note, I am glad that I ordered the model I did as my house has glare issues due to window and light locations. I am very satisfied with the service I got from Electrozone! This was my first order with them, and I would definitely shop with them again! Thanks for everything!
Update!!!!!!
Initially, I was very happy with my big screen TV. Everything got there quickly, in one piece, and worked. I was as happy as could be. My TV turned out to be defective. Electrozone did not want to help me out even though the TV broke within thirty days of me receiving it. Electrozone told me to take up the issue with Samsung. Samsung told me they were not going to help me because Electrozone is not an authorized distributor. Luckily, I purchased the CPS protection plan Electrozone was pushing. My TV had been repaired three times within a year at no cost to me. Would I ever buy from this company again. No way! I could have ended up with an $1800 paper weight and no product support.
