I had to check other dissatisfied user's comment. I wonder how this company get this score. Very interesting... This company looks like traditional fishing and bait company. I called to electrodiscounts.com and he asked me other accessaries more than 1 hour. Finally, I didn't want to buy any other accessaries because, this is for my company and my boss don't want it. Suddenly he hang up the phone. What a rude.
You guy have no chance to buy your merchandise from this horrible store. They closed the door. "

"Well, I was suckered in on this one, I think. This company has a very good resellerratings, with many favorable comments. I ordered a camcorder and the next day they called to try to sell me overpriced accessories and warranties. I finally conviced them I DIDN'T want those things! Well, it's been a week now, with no camera. The website says my order is "in the final stages of processing," which it's said for the last 5 days. They did have the lowest price by $5-10, but now I don't know if I'll ever even get it! The last time I ordered something and had to call and get a "hard sell" on other accessories, I eventually had to cancel the order and go elsewhere (after weeks of waiting, excuses, etc). I investigated all the positive reviews from resellerratings. Virtually everyone leaving good comments has left only one review (of this site), and they did so on the day they "joined" resellerratings. Virtually all of the reviewers with multiple site reviews had a bad experience, like mine. I suspect that these guys are creating new user ID's every few days and leaving themselves a positive review...which would be fraud! I will not order from them again.
UPDATE: Many of the suspicious positive reviews have been removed. The current scores probably much more accurately rate this company (their rating was around 9.0 a few days ago! Thanks, resellerratings!) In the meantime, I contacted customer service, and got a polite reply with an apology for the delay in shipping (I was pleasantly surprised). They then upgraded the shipping to two day air at no additional expense. I haven't received it yet, but have received the shipping invoice/tracking number from UPS. Will update again when it arrives.
UPDATE: Well, the package arrived today (10 days after the order). In the end, I got the right part at a good price. The "hard sell" phone call for accessories, warranty, etc, and slow to ship (requiring email to customer service) were big negatives, however. "

"I thought I was cheated by electrodiscounts when they were closed all of a sudden. For two days there was no response but later on I called the customer service as was told that they had shutdown for some inventory checks and my order was shipped prior to the shutdown.
The website although easy to use does not have a professional feel to it. They were prompt to process the order without hassling me on the purchase of accessories , the item was brand new as promised and was shipped in good condition.
Overall electrodiscounts turned out to be good for me."

"My wife was about to give birth any day. I needed a video camera asap, and ElectroDiscounts had the best price. I called to confirm it was in stock and would ship the next day (I chose next day shipping cause I needed it quick). The order was cancelled the next day (I was notified via email; no phone call), so I didn't realize it until I checked my email the next day. I had to call to find out why. They said it was not in stock and would not be replenished (i.e. they discontinued carrying the item). I wasted 3 days with them. I'm not happy! So, I ordered it from another retailer I used in the past and had no trouble. Be careful ordering from ElectroDiscounts if you need an item to arrive without delay or hassles. This was my first experience with them, and it will be my last. Your children only get born once, and I can't believe I might miss getting it on tape because of ElectroDiscounts' hollow promises."
"Lets see, I ordered a canon A520 from electrodiscounts.com thinking it would be a good deal. They are cheaper than any site out there, but there is a catch. They send u an email saying " Contact us and 1 800 blah blah for additional information",
I think they raise the prices on there memory sticks, cases, waranties, and batteries to make their money, and prices for those products were unbeliviable prices ( $99 for two batteries and a charger).
So i called them and the Guy I'm supposed to talk to wasn't even working that day. I ordered my camera on Feb 2nd and its now Feb 6th, four days without sending me a confermation number nor delivering my product. I'm more than likely happy to cancel my credit card, and buy the camera from a local store, and spend 30 bucks more than deal with this untolorable business."
