"All I can say is "Buyer Beware." This place is a joke and they are working hand in hand with digitalpros.com. When you call you get the same people. I started out buying a camera for $149.00. Got a call and said it did not come with the battery and I was asked if I wanted a battery. The short of the story is my credit card got charged for $248.50 and when I got the merchandise. Each item in the box with the camera was itemized seperately.

You can not cancel any order with out pay a high cancellation fee. You can not return anything without paying a high restoking fee. Also in the fine print it states that they do not guarantee the product in the color that you order.

"WOW!!! I almost fell for it. I wanted to purchase a receiver from this site but was suspicious about the price. I'm glad I read these reviews. This POS site won't get my money. It should be a crime to operate in this manner."

"Ordered a projector for some $1,200 last night. Got an e-mail this morning, saying they tried to call me. So I called the billing department. A male answered the phone. He said he needed the security code on the back of my card. I said I already gave it, if requested, on the order. The guy said that he could cancel my order. I said wait. Then the guy said there is a 11% mandatory insurance on the order. I said it was not on the order. He again said he could cancel my order. I just said that this should not be the way of dealing with customer or doing business. Here is the phrase of the day. He just said, "don't tell me how to do business." I canceled the order. This company may violate federal laws. Someone should send a complaint to the federal trade commission. I hope I will not become a victim since they have my credit card number now. It is not worthy. Its price was about $300 (before insurance) less than other website, was it worthy?"

"This company is a joke and seriously needs to be shut down. I purchased a projector from the company earlier in the year, the dirt cheap price looked great until I received the follow up phone call. Before you complete the purchase, please make sure you read there terms and conditions, if you cant find it, no worries, the link on the site isn't there. The follow up call was to basically sell me more uselessness. The warranty is another joke, the product I bought cost 1500, the "warranty that cover's everything for 4 years" cost an additional $300.00 and was never sent to me, nor was the initial sales receipt, which you will need when the product fails. I contacted the company multiple times, they finally sent me a card showing the warranty was purchased, but it only covered a product worth $1,000.00 and for digital cameras. I thank the Mitshubishi for honoring the original warranty as the warranty sold to me, wouldn't cover anything. Run away from this company, trust me, I paid $400.00 more in the long run for this product, buy from a trusted, not cheap site. And I'm only giving this company 1 star because it doesn't offer any lower."

"ELECTROCLOSEOUT ARE STEALING MONEY FROM AMERICANS. THEY ARE THE WORSE COMPANY I EVER DEAL WITH. I PURCHASE AN OPTOMA 66 PROJECTOR. THEY OVER CHARGE ME 40.00 AFTER THE SALE WAS COMPLETED AND WITHOUT MY CONSENT. THEY TOOK OVER A MONTH TO SHIP THE PRODUCT AFTER MANY PHONE CALLS. THE PROJECTOR WAD DEFECTED SO I RETURN IT TO THEM. BIG MISTAKE IT HAS BEEN 2 MONTH AND I STILL DON'T HAVE THE PROJECTOR OR THE MONEY. THEY ARE MORE RUDE THAN DMV AND THEY DON'T CARE. EVERY TIME I CALL ITS THE SAME STORIES. I WILL GET IT ON MONDAY. IT HAS BEEN 6 MONDAYS AND STILL NO MONEY AND NO PROJECTOR. THEY SHOULD ALL BE ARRESTED AND PUT IN JAIL BECAUSE THEY ARE TAKING OUR MONEY AND LAUGHING AT US."

"I order a Motorola H730 wireless headset advertised with free 10-14 day shipping. I waited over three weeks and never received it or heard from them. I called on a Monday and was told it was back ordered and would be in Thursday, and then it would be shipped to me in 10-14 days (over a month from my original order date). When I politely said that I might have to cancel because I needed one fairly soon, the man rudely said, "it's canceled", and just hung up. Great polite customer service!!!!!! I had to call back and had to verify that it was indeed canceled, but I am still a little worried I will still be billed. Also, after reading all the negative reviews, I would never have ordered from them originally, nor will I again! Unfortunately I just found this great site. There is something to be said about ordering from Amazon and with PayPal. At least you have some security."

"I had the same results as other people here. I ordered a projector online from them, the following day I received an e-mail asking to contact them. Upon calling them I was told there was a 9 percent handling fee, on an $1100 projector that amounted to $100.00. They then charged me an additional $40 for two day shipping, 8 days later it still hadn't arrived. I tried calling them several times during this period, most times I would get a message asking to call during business hours. This was business hours, it didn't matter what time of day I called. A couple of times I would get a customer service rep and they would tell me that the item shipped but could not give me details. I sent e-mails....no response, called back...received call back during regular business hours message again. Gave up, called my credit card company and disputed the charge. They are refunding my money, thank you Chase!!! I ordered the projector from someone else. Do not buy from these people, do not deal with these people!!!!"

"STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! OR YOU WILL BE THE NEXT VICTIM.
I am another victim. I only read the reviews after being victim of ElectroCloseOut. Here are the main points:
1. In their web page, the "About Us" says nothing about them only a phony Privacy policy. You do not know where they are nor their address. The only thing you have is a 800 number that can be anywhere. On the site of Volusion SSL that they have as link place them in Florida, but my order came from New York. The lack of transparency is everywhere.
2. I ordered online. You receive immediately a confirmation with your credit card number xxxxxx and the last numbers (normal procedure) however the price that you agreed upon on the web does not appear anywhere. Later on, you find out (without them ever informing you) that they have debited your credit card a much higher price (about $80 more).
3. You can contest, but they are rude and eventually you accept that you have been robed. Those people have no ethical standards, they are thieves.
4. Aside from being debited a higher price, the Ceiling Mount that they had promised is not included and never came. No point in complaining, they will not send it.
5. In my case, I received the projector, but not the invoice or bill of sale. So, you are not even aware that they have debited to your credit card a higher price. Later, it is too late.
6. They promise to ship within 7 days. Forget about it. They took much longer and only sent after persistent calling.
7. On their site, you will find Authorized Net and Volusion SSL. They try to lure you to gain some credibility. Those are traps. Those guys are crooks.

STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! OR YOU WILL BE THE NEXT VICTIM.

"Same problem as everyone else. Advertised a price of $839 they called back and asked for my security code on my credit card then said OK that will be $899 after I turned down their 5 yr warranty. I said no it was $839 when I ordered it on-line he said they add 9% for insurance. Total scam artists. Cancelled order and now just hoping my cc info is safe."

"Thank you all so much for your reviews. I called was at the company's site and called just to ask a few questions. They seemed pretty diligent to get me to order over the phone. I told them I needed to do a little more research. Later in the day, I called back with my credit card out ready to order. I selected the option for sales. When the person answered "HELLO", a red flag went up. I asked the kid if I reached electrocloseout and he said "WHAT". Another red flag. After that I hung up and found these reviews. I will NOT be ordering from them. THANK YOU, YOU SAVED ME A HEADACHE."

"Ordered from them - told me they would ship in 24-48 hours. I kept on checking their website for a tracking number. Finally called and they said they were sorry but it would be shipped out on the following Monday - asked if I would like to buy a 5 year warranty - agreed. No prodcut the following week - asked again - told they would ship out the following Tuesday. The next Wed I asked what happened and they asked if I wanted to cancel - I did."

"Being an avid online shopper, I gave this company a chance... should have I not? Probably.

First, I ordered a projector at an amazing price. Why was it amazing? Because the bulb was NOT included in the price; which they DO NOT tell you. Bringing the total price to more than what others were offering.

Secondly, they advertise a cheap "free ceiling mount" that I'm STILL waiting on (since Nov. 17th) and it's Dec. 2nd, with NOTHING in the mail. Why? Because there was a "back order" that apparently was not there A WEEK AGO WHEN MY PACKAGE WAS IN TRANSIT. Last time I checked, this is called LYING. "Google" it if you don't trust me.

Now, I'm being told I will receive the mount by Dec. 8th, resulting in two situations to reach conflict.

By the way, the gentleman on the phone told me to get over it because the mount was free... I got over it all right... very explicitly got over it.

Stay away from this two-bit, shady company. I will never order from this site again. Considering to return my purchase entirely at this point.

P.S. Same guy always answers the phone, same guy called me customer service, same guy called me to tell me "I forget to buy the bulb"... to hell with this company. You can blame my anger for any grammar errors or typos. Good day.
