"I have had similar dealings and problems with EasyBuy2000. I ordered a chameleon modchip on Dec. 26. I received a seemingly automated e-mail that I got directly after placing my order that stated that the modchip would be sent in no more than 48 hours. About ten days latter, I hadn't heard a word from them so I sent them an e-mail asking what was going on. They responded, I think, or maybe it was coincidence, that they wanted an ID check. I tried to get back to them to explain that I had a different shipping address than billing address due to a recent address change where I live and talked to someone on the phone about that. I faxed them the information, which was supposed to clear things up and that was last week. Still no word an they have yet to contact me with any information. I certainly didn't check out this site's reviews, but I may have done differently if I had. Also, from other reviews here, it looks like I may still receive my order...probably just in a couple more decades. And now I can't access their site...? I am going to start calling them tomorrow and everday 'till I get something sure and definitive. Very dissapointed so far. Someone needs to direct them to this site so they can maybe fix some things. Oh yea, I think that online chat thing is definetly bogus. Blahhh! "
"Made order on 04 Sep, during the Labor Day weekend. Unlike the previous posts, shipping didn't occur immediately as expected. On 09 Sep, I receive a tracking number and my product (a X-Rom) arrived 14 Sep from Canada to Chicago. Items were shipped in an envelope with most of the bubblewrap protecting the X-Rom cartridge, but minimal wrapping on the linker cable. X-Rom works fine and is a great deal at its current price."

Bought a Chameleon Mod Chip and adaptor for the xbox on the 15th of December w/overnight shipping for $18. It's the 22nd today. The tracking number they gave doesn't give much info. Only that they shipped it on the 18th. No shipping confirmation number. Horrible customer service. Won't respond to the 3 emails sent. The online instant chatting with a representative is probably fake. I tried 2 times and both were idle for 2-3 hours with 40 messages telling me that the operator is working with someone else. Just try it if you don't believe me. Horrible company to buy from. I still haven't recieved the mod chip, but i'll update when i do. Also, i bet the mod chip will come Dead on Arrival in a ripped brown bag...
Update: Still haven't recieve the modchip. Now the chips are out of stock waiting for another ship date. I decided to cancel my order and get my refund back, even though they will deduct 4% off the total. Dont buy from this company unless you want them to rip you off. When i canceled, i still didn't get any email from them telling me that they did as requested.
UPDATE Jan 12, 2004: Still havent recieved the order. Person contacted me the other day about tracking my order and will ship it out as soon as the next shipment comes in. I told them that id like to cancel my order and get a full refund. No reply yet. The site is closed!!!??!??! They ripped everyone that purchased from that site!! Im going to call them everyday until i get an answer. Most likely no one will pick up! I will update when i get more information.
UPDATE: [JAN 13, 2004]:
I got an email response from them stating that they canceled the order and is refunding my account. It should take about 3 days for it to show that it was refunded. I will update after that. Also, the site was closed for a few days. Finally; today, i got it to open up again. I guess the site was having some technical issues. I'll update as soon as something comes up.
UPDATE [2/14/04]: I checked my credit card statement yesterday. I was amazed to see that they actually refunded the money back. At least they didnt take it and keep it. I wouldn't buy from these people at all. I really recommend modchipman.com or modchipsource.com. I personally like modchipman, since they actually have a link to their feedback forum. An actual forum that you can complain on right on the front page. At least 99% are positive. I ordered from them and got it in 2 days when they sent it from canada."

Seven days later they say they are out of stock but, not to worry, they did not charge my credit card. I got fed up and deceided to cancel the order. I thought I should confirm with my credit card company that the charge was never placed and guess what... They charged my card within minutes of the original order. This vendor is nothing but a second rate scammer."

"Things started off a bit rocky, as their automated email system ended up sending out a false out-of-stock email for the product I ordered when they listed it as in-stock, but a quick email to a human got that cleared up. Otherwise, it took longer than I would have liked for the part to ship out(ordered on a Thursday, came in stock Friday, didn't ship until Wednesday), but it was otherwise satisfactory shipping and communication on a good deal."

They later apologized for not testing it and promised they would test the new chips - like I would believe the same story twice! Where's the rest of my refund??? And why should I have to cover their expenses when THEY screw up???"
