"I read reviews here before buying the HDTV so I called to place order and avoided the issues some have had here with on-line orders. I ended up paying for shipping even though the web site says free shipping. No where on their web site does if explain under what conditions and what area you get free shipping. This is very misleading and it needs to be addressed. I was also told that I could not get the 2% discount from coupon code when using a credit card (only money order, wire, etc.). This condition should also be explained on their web site. After agreeing to a shipping rate (with white glove)) and thinking that that was going to be the total added cost I was told that I had to pay an additional "shipping protection" charge. I ended up paying an additional $224 in total. The TV was in stock and they did ship it the same day.

They used a company called AM Home Delivery for the shipping. I called AM Home Delivery 5 days after it was shipped figuring that It had to be close (I live in WI which is a 3 day point from NJ). They told me it was on its way to Chicago and that is all they could tell me. I called 10 days later and got the same response. I called them 2 weeks later and they initially gave me same the response about it being on its way to Chicago. I was more persistent saying I wanted to speak to a supervisor and they finally told me it was going to be delivered in next couple of days. They did call me to tell me when it was going to be delivered and it was delivered in that time frame. The men who delivered the TV were very rude to my wife. They parked in front of our drive way when my wife was backing out of driveway. She asked them to please move and they would not move it. They also made some rude remarks to her. I did not hear about this until after they left or there would have been a different outcome. They came in and plugged in the TV without stand etc. with packaging all over the place and said they were finished. I asked about white glove and they said I was regular delivery.

I understand that I'm reviewing East Coast TV with this review and not the shipper. I have to include it here because East Coast TV continues to choose this terrible company to ship their products. They have to know about their terrible service from reading reviews here and probably from feedback from their customers. Go to Yelp and look at reviews for AM Home Delivery. My advise to anyone ordering products here is to ask what company they are using for shipping and avoid using AM Home Delivery if possible.

At the end of the day I did get my HDTV in fine shape and saved a significant amount of money (though not as much as I thought). The process and the length of time to get it was painful though.

"This is a typical New York City-area sales operation, with all of the implied negative connotations. Within minutes of placing my order, I was contacted by a salesman pushing upcharges very heavily, so what started out a good price quickly became just an OK price.

The delivery time was abysmal, taking 22 days for shipment from Linden, NJ to Wrightsville Beach, NC.

The "White Glove" delivery was not worth the cost. The entire delivery time in my home was about five minutes, and the delivery people didn't even remove the packing materials.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend East Coast TVS.

"East Coast TVs was a great find. We had been watching the price of the TV we wanted on one of the major big box electronic websites and it was only getting more expensive. We decided to venture outside of the usual retail outlets and we found East Coast TVs. The price was amazing! My husband was nervous about spending that much money with a retailer we were not familiar with but we decided to take a chance. Deliver was quick too. The only downside was the sales guy that called immediately after we placed the order to upsell my husband on he mount and delivery. He was very pushy. If I order from this company again I will not be answering the phone when we he calls. We would definitely order from East Coast again."

"I did a lot of research on TVs and after deciding on the type it was time to find a great price. Several searches led me to East Coast TVs. I have never heard of this company so I read some reviews and called them on the phone. The Representative was very eager to help and convinced me to purchase the upgraded shipping. I went with the white glove delivery, which took a very long time, but it did arrive without any issues."

"This is the most dishonest, rude, shady, unprofessional, bottom feeding employees and Manager. Their customer service person answered the phone TWICE with food in their mouth and continued eating and slurping while trying to talk to me, even after a confronted him for being rude. I told him that we would sit in silence until he swallowed and put his food down, which he totally denied eating, but funny how the mouth noise stopped after that.... Their company name has become a punch line in my office for anything that goes wrong, and bad customer service.

I ordered a LG 49" 8500 Series LED 4K Ultra HDTV - 49UB8500 for $1,265, my invoice at the time of purchase and that was emailed to me shows that price and 0.00 for shipping. Which was PERFECT exactly what I expected, since that is what it showed for, and still does, on their website.

Like others - the next day a fast talking slim ball called me while I was driving and tried to up sell me on the "white glove" service. I told him I was not interested, we were remodeling so I did not want someone to come in and hook my TV up, I was not ready for it. I didn't care if it got her in 7 days or not. That was on August 10th, I was told it had already shipped "white glove" and they had to pay for it...I said not my problem I didn't agree to it.

The next day I got an order confirmation email showing that I was charged $20 MORE for just the TV plus $43.83 for "damage protection". So my card was charged $1328.83 NOT $1265.00.

I called them and was told someone would call me back, I waited a week and never got a call. I called again and got the same rude guy that called me to up sell. He claimed he had me on a recording to prove I agreed to the additional costs, which I immediately said - In WA State it is illegal to record a conversation without permission and I asked him to play it back for me....he agreed to either give me $30 of the $63.83 overcharged, but no more, or he could cancel the order but since it was already shipped I would be stuck paying for shipping both ways. We had some words back and forth and he finally agreed to refund $40, I just got tired of arguing and the price was still good, I was just mad that they had not been honest about the shipping in the first place - WHEN THE ORDER IS PLACED!! If you read the micro fine print of the order confirmation (AFTER YOU PLACE THE ORDER), it says there MAY BE shipping fees. It also says that there is "Threshold Delivery" that requires a signature during a four hour window. Which supposedly you are supposed to know that is not free and there will be a charge...

Here it is Aug 27th, yesterday at 4:30pm, I was told I would get my delivery today between 1:30pm and 4:30pm and the shipping company A-1 Distributing REFUSED to reschedule so I had to take time off work with no notice to my boss. I was told I was the first delivery after lunch, I called A-1 at 4:15pm and was told they would be here by 4:45pm. I called at 5:10pm the company is closed, I have heard from no one, it is now 6:12pm and I never got my delivery.... Can't tell you how mad I am. Not only was I ripped off for $63.83 I have lost wages waiting for a delivery that never came, and will lose wages again when I have to reschedule for another delivery time.

Only buy from this company if you don't mind being LIED to from the minute you enter their website, about price, shipping, EVERYTHING!!! Horrible company!!

"I have placed an order for Samsung LED TV model UN55F8000 which is listed on eastcoast website, and I have received order confirmation mail, and 2 days later I received a mail asking me to call them to confirm the order. I called the next day and the representative says that Samsung stopped manufacturing the model and so my order was cancelled without even giving me any other option. I was very disappointed with the service and gave my initial feedback. But immediately their manager personally called and apologized for all the inconvenience caused and sorted out the issue. I placed order for another model with free white glove delivery and 3 years extended warranty offered. I am happy that eastcoast is working on case by case to make their customers happy, Really appreciate that."

"On 8/13/2014 I ordered online a Samsung UN60F8000 TV. Item was confirmed at $1,595 less various discounts to a net of $1,553.30, shown in stock with order # 73405. Five minutes after the order was placed, I received a phone call stating the TV was not in stock, was last year’s model and not available. On 8/22/2014, went back online, the same TV is offered “in stock” at a price of $1,679. The "Boss" just called and said he would ship this unit to me at the original price plus upgraded shipping a no additional cost. "

I live in the midwest, so I was told via phone call that I had to pay delivery charges after placing my online order. Not a big deal. Prices are cheaper, so I didn't mind paying the additional $119. The customer service was fine. They tried to push add-ons, as do most companies, but I declined. Overall, pleasant experience. Would I order from them again? Probably not, seeing as I was unware of the additional shipping cost prior to placing my order. That information should be included on the website.

"Initially had problems with my order because I'm outside their carrier's normal delivery areas. East Coast TVs management contacted me and at no additional cost has agreed to ship my merchandise.

East Coast TVs is very passionate about protecting its reputation. I recommend this vendor without reservation!
