(who knows why) I placed my order at OMC and at check out selected 2nd day air shipping for additional $$ I got an email order confirmation 2 minutes after order. Two days later I hadnt received a "shipped" confirmation, so I emailed them and got no response, the third day (they day before departing to Vail) I still had not received the order or an email confirmation so I called, after getting their VM 3 times someone finally answered & after a long hold they were able to figure out that they didnt have my order in stock? Are you shitting me? 3 days to figure out if it was in stock? I had to shell out double at the mountain thanks to these idiots. Never again"
"Terrible company. Ordered a pair of snowshoes that were supposed to be in stock. After a few days of no info reshipping from them, I called and found that the first order had just disappeared from their system. I reordered. A week later after many unreturned emails and phone messages, they write and say the item is out of stock and the order has been canceled."

Nov 7, 2012 6:37 AM JST Hello, Your package was shipped out via USPS Priority mail on 10/31/2012. Please keep in mind it can take up to 10 or more business days for the package to reach its final destination. Once and awhile USPS has troubles when scanning packages causing the tracking numbers to not update. I can assure you that it has left our building and is in route to you. "I ordered some hiking boots and was very pleased with my shopping experience and especially the price. They shipped via UPS Ground after a one day delay. Customer service is not always available (possibly on lunch break) but when you reach someone by phone they are helpful."
"I ordered 3 items for a backpacking trip. After pending for a couple of days I received an email because one of my items was out of stock, annoying but fortunately it wasn't the item I really wanted. I called the next day and they offered to either remove that item from the shipment or replace it with a similar item. Within an hour of getting off the phone the order was shipped, it took 5 days to receive. I would absolutely order from this company again. They had great prices on what I wanted and I did not experience any issues with the customer service. "

"I ordered two Marmot rain jackets for my wife and myself. The prices were very good on these discounted jackets and shipping was free. Unfortunately, the jacket for my wife was too large and had to be returned. A few days after mailing it back to Oregon Mountain Community via USPS Priority Mail, my charge card was credited for the purchase price of the jacket. The service is excellent and I will shop at Oregon Mountain Community again."

There seems to be constant confusion on their end and no one seems to know whats going on. trying to get anything answered is next to impossible. "Beyond having the best pricing from time to time on certain gear, this is a HORRIBLE online company. In this day and age, you should have a clear picture of what items you have in inventory and what items you don't. E-OMC has no clue. Here's how it works (they've told me this): 1. You place the order, having fund held on your cc. 2. Someone goes to see if the item is there. 3. If it is not, they hand it off to another person to make sure it wasn't misplaced. 4. If they still can't find, they will contact you via email stating they are out of stock and refund your money. Unbelievable. Stick with Mountain Gear or even better Backcountry.com if you are looking for gear online. They are leaps and bounds ahead of E-OMC. "

"I ordered a pair of climbing shoes online from E-OMC, which were shipped to Australia. The order was shipped within a few days, and arrived in within a few weeks. Items were as described.
However, my experience with E-OMC's customer service was not good as E-OMC did not respond to an email I sent asking about their returns policy.
I am giving E-OMC a second chance (buying another pair of climbing shoes), but will not order from them again if I experience any more problems."
