"After I placed my order I found the bad reviews here and was wishing I'd went elsewhere.
Now I'm glad I ordered from Drumsonsale!!
I called B4 placing the order to see if the Gibraltar GCS-450C rack was in stock, Chris said he didn't stock them but he showed 2 in the warehouse that would be drop shipped to me. I placed the order and about 4 days later the website said part of my order had been shipped. On the day this order was due to arrive I called Drumsonsale(DOS) to see what the holdup was for the rest of the order because I was fearing the rack was on backorder even tho he showed 2 in the warehouse. Luckily the rack was on it's way. Chris was cool enough to put me on hold to call Pearl to see why my 3rd tom arm hadn't showed yet and come to find out Pearl discontinued them and hadn't notified him. We agreed to go with 3 Gibraltar tom mounts that he had in stock and said he would send it out that day along with my 4 Pearl cymbal booms and 2 Pearl Optimounts. Later that night I got an email with a tracking # that it had been shipped. 3 days later the 2nd part of my order arrived.
Everything was there in the right quantities and right brand/part. My only complaint is the box the Gibraltar rack came in looked worn out and about to bust at the seams. When I got everything unwrapped there were 3 rack tubes with dents in them and 3 clamps where beat up so bad the chrome was coming off!! I can't blame drumsonsale for this because it was in a Gibraltar box and DOS never opened the box. I just didn't feel Gibraltar packaged it that well. Also I can't blame DOS for the miscommunication from Pearl on the tom arms either.
All in all I'm glad I bought from Drumsonsale and Chris answered all my questions when I called and made it right with the tom arms. I'm still not at all happy about the beat up rack but again that has nothing to do with DOS.
So it's no mystery that DOS is a small operation and maybe they are understaffed but I gotta give them props because they did me right and were fairly quick about it. You people need to understand that some things happen beyond a sellers control and just work with them politely to make it right. I'm sure they need your repeat business so they will do what they can to make you happy.
Now to decide what to do about this beat up rack issue. I'll keep you posted how it was handled."
