"Kevin Raub is a very dishonest man to work for. I would have to pretend he was not there for customers who wanted refunds.

In the end I was let go and not paid for my last 3 weeks of work. I was trying to get paid normally instead of cash, because I need to report something to the irs. How else can i explain how my bills are getting paid? Because I have no pay stubs he gets away with free labor. No help for the dept of labor. He hires guys from craigslist and tries them out for a day and not hire them so they work for free. He takes advantage of the elderly and those desperate for work in this messed up economy.

He is also paying people(in discounts) to write reviews for him. If you go in the store, you will see a sign manipulating feed back. He is realizing this hurts sales."

"Driveguys is the WORST company i have ever came across. Kevin the owner avoids customers and their phone calls. I was sitting in my car outside the store and i called to talk to kevin i seen him answer the phone and in a funny voice say "kevin here today. how can i help you" He marks up all his prices over what anything is worth. he preys on the elderly and there lack of knowledge."

"It took awhile but Driveguys.com finally sent us the check for the harddrives we had sold to them a few months ago. To their credit they rectified the situation by paying us. Thanks"

"FANTASTIC! Very inexpensive, brand new WD IDE/EIDE internal hard disk. Arrived quickly and in great shape. Very easy to install. Bought through them as a third-party vendor at Buy.com, but would purchase from them again."

"I ordered the Maxtor 160G IDE harddrive. It arrived in a timely manner. The product was exactly as advertised.
Good personal service. However, the website automation seems to be lacking. Try using the storefront on pricegrabber."

ONCE THE WEB ORDERING TOOL WAS USED BY US; OUR ORDER MANAGEMENT AND SHIPPING HAS RUN VERY SMOOTHLY. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS VENDOR FOR YOUR VARIOUS HARD DRIVE NEEDS.... "

"I was pleased with my experience with DRIVEGUYS. I ordered a 80gig drive for $29 bucks!! They do sell alot of refurbished drives so you have to know what you looking for. I asked via email if they could give me a list of all their available new drives and they did. Drive arived a few days later and have not had a problem. Thanks DriveGuys and I'm getting ready to buy another drive from them 250 Gig for $42 bucks. Awesome."

"One of the two "new" Western Digital WD2500JS drives I bought for a RAID 1 array was DOA. The Western Digital serial lookup said this drive was not in warranty. Kevin Raub of Driveguys issued RMA CO-9455 on 12/31/07. I sent the drive back via UPS for replacement. That's the last I've heard from Driveguys. I sent them several subsequent emails including the UPS proof of delivery. Obviously, I'm not going to deal with them again or trust data to the one drive they sent that didn't fail immediately. These drives were supposed to be NEW.

UPDATE: After the Better Business Bureau got on them, they issued a check to me for the original purchase price, something like $55. I took the check to Bank of America to vet it before depositing it to my account. Surprise! The check was no good.....just like the hard drive."

"I ordered an external USB drive, and received a refurbished IDE drive in a broken USB adapter case. I was sent a replacement, which turned out to be the identical thing. I returned both and was promised a "check in the mail". I never received the refund. The transaction is currently in dispute with my credit card company. These "driveguys" are literally THIEVES."

"DriveGuys suck! I purchased two drives and accidentally selected over night shipment and they charged me $124 for shipping. After seeing my mistake on the order printout I immediately called them to change it to ground 5-10 day shipping. They did that but still charged my credit card the $124 dollars. I did not find this out until 9 months later when I did my taxes. Out of the two drives one of them was DOA with an IO error. I called them and they asked me to re FDISK it. Since I didn't need it right away I waited 5 months to try the re FDISK which didn't work. I called them back and sent them the drive along with the RMA number they gave me. I never heard from them again never got the replacement drive. However I went on their site and discovered that they conveniently purged their database on Jan 8 2008."

"They suck!!! They false advertise used and damaged merchandise as new. Send out dead hard drives. You're gauranteed to loose your money dealing with this company. I lost the shipping costs both ways after I had to return a DOA drive. Kevin Raub has a bad and cocky attitude and should be discharged from his position. www.pricewatch.com has since removed them from their sellers list...thank you pricewatch."

"I have ordered two IDE hard drives from DriveGuys.com thus far, and they are both quality drives and both are still running without a hitch. I am about ready to order a new one for myself as I am graduating from PATA to SATA and I have yet to find anywhere else that offers as wide a range of drives as well as low prices.
As for the customer support, my only complaint is no toll free #. However, after I placed my last order, a representative called me at home to tell me that the drive I had originally ordered was no longer in stock but they would send one of better quality and eat the difference in price if I preferred. I preferred and the drive arrived two days later. To me, that is excellent customer service and is why I will buy drives for them exclusively, whether for myself or a client."
