"On November 2nd, 2015 I placed an order for Dog Food with Doggiefood.com like I do about every 6 weeks. I thought it strange that on the 18th of November 2015 it hadn't been delivered. I checked the e-mail confirmation that they sent me and when I clicked on the site it stated that the site was no longer available. No e-mail, no phone#. I have had good luck with this company for going on 2 years now. I am retired and every penny counts. I detest being ripped off in the amount of $55.64, or any amount. "I am so royally p***** off with this company!! I have been a loyal customer for years and they have the audacity to do this!!! Had to open a dispute with my credit card over my last order which was at the end of October, plus I had given them $100.00 for the promo they offered back in September, it was valued for $150.00 I also reported them to the BBB of Rhode Island. I think I will also call the police dept. there and maybe the Attorney General concerning what they did. They need to be arrested for fraud. Don't know why but I actually received an email today from them, thought they were back up, must have been an automated message... Absolutely disgusted with doggiefood.com"
"I urge you, if you have any ties to DoggieFood.com, to notify your loyal customers not to purchase any dog food through this company. They have gone belly up and have taken customer's money without fulfilling their orders. I have filed a PayPal claim to attempt to get my money back but I'm still out four 28lb bags of Coastal Catch and the Puppy Vantage food for my two dogs. It is devastating that this company has gone under taking others' hard earned money. They will not reply to calls, emails, or PayPal and have also taken down their website so customers cannot access their accounts.Their Facebook page remains active and they continue to remove customer's comments asking where their refund is. Also, the owner, Tony, has changed his email address to apparently evade customer contact. Update: They have now taken down their Facebook page as well and have started to harass people to take down their negative reviews of the company. ORDER #100175121"
"I just wanted you all to beware of doggiefood.com and that I no longer recommend it as a company to get your cat and dog food from. You ask why? I do not recommend them for the fact that they do not stand behind the food they sale. On Sept 5, 2015, I ordered 9 each of the 15.4 bags of EVO Turkey and Chicken Cat and Kitten dry food. One bag had a shorter expiration date than the others did. I opened that bag this week to start using it and found that it was 50% broken down kibble dust. My call to the Customer Service Department at Doggiefood.com was not pleasant due to the fact that they would not stand behind the product they sold me. The man I spoke to on the other end was, in my opinion, belligerent to me. He even at one point said we had a mutual beneficial relationship since I got 25% off on their sale. Unbelievable. All I was asking for was a replacement bag for the defective bag since my cats are refusing to eat the dust. I would not eat the dust if I was a cat. The Customer Service Rep was not willing to replace the bag themselves even though I bought it from them. He said he wanted pictures of the product and product code and then he would go higher up at Doggiefood and then talk to EVO. I didn't have a problem with sending the pictures. I had a problem with the attitude and poor Customer Service. From my understanding, if anywhere along the line at Doggiefood.com or EVO, someone said "no" to replacing my bag, I would not be getting a replacement bag for the defective bag. Now, how is that for Customer Service. Any way, buyer beware. I don't know if I will ever get a replacement bag, but one thing I do know, I will never again recommend them to buy anything from."
"I just found the last nail in the coffin for doggiefood.com. They changed their return policy from one year to 90 days AND you can't return ANY purchases where you received a discount of 20% or more. Now I have six boxes of dog food that I cannot return and cannot use because I purchased them more than 90 days ago. I waited on the returns because their old policy said I had one year.They also have not carried one of the dog foods we use for about three months. This was the last straw for me, I will not be shopping doggiefood.com again. They lost a loyal customer because of a new policy."
"Stay away if you wish not have to deal with these people not understanding what customer service is in this type of business. They say "Free shipping" but want to charge you for it if anything goes wrong plus any fees they want to add on. The discount you get at check out is thrown back to your face stating "you DID get that discount so it should be ok to charge you that for rerouting a package bc Fedex decided to reroute to us". Ummm so you don't want to issue me a refund for the order I never touched or received which is now in your hands and plus you will charge me for restocking fee even if I wanted my order? Unacceptable response and very unprofessional. Yes you are a small business but all the other businesses smaller than yours act in a professional manner and understand people are not trying to scam them or break them. They just want the dog food they paid for. Losing a loyal customer for life b/c you are unwilling to eat shipping cost is a stupid business move. Don't let your ego get in the way of providing genuinely honest customer service."
"I ordered a product from Doggiefood.com on a Thursday and paid for the express saver shipping. Not realizing that FedEx recognized Friday as a holiday for the 4th of July my order was not sent out until Tuesday the 7th! I placed my order July 2. I called on Monday spoke with a rude boy who advised me that fedex was closed on Friday and I would have a tracking number by tuesday. I received it Tuesday and tracked it. It was delivered today in Chicago IL! I was frantic when I saw this because I ordered something herbal for my Min Pin with chronic UTIs that this stuff was highly recommended to help! When I called again today I spoke with another rude boy who told me there was a problem with the FedEx tracking and said my order was set to be delivered on July 11. I asked for a supervisor was told to call back and I would get Tony's voice mail. I called he answered and instead of being apologetic I was told that I should have I KNOWN fed ex was closed Friday WTH??? As a business owner he was unprofessional and rude. I am frustrated as a pet owner because they couldn't even take the time to email me a correct tracking number! I had to see from fed ex it was delivered to someone else. Although it wasn't, that is what I was thinking and was angry. I would NEVER recommend this "company" to anyone! Just based on my customer service experience they are rude and inconsiderate of the fact that this order was meant for MY baby! Not everyone can afford overnight but I did the best I could and this "owner" was arrogant and rude. Now I have to wait until Friday to get my order. They may have had what I needed for my baby but when I am frantic for herbal remedies to help her feel better a little understanding would have been appreciated!!"
"I ordered 2 times from this company and received my dog food quickly and for a really good price. The second time I added another product from Honest Kitchen and didn't get it, only the dog food came. I emailed and called over and over with no answer and the one time they answered the phone just gave me some line about they would contact the shipper and find out where it is and send me a tracking number. NOTHING ever again came from them. I had to open a case with PayPal to get my money back and 30 days later I finally have my refund. Ridiculous customer service. Now they raised the dog food $15 dollars all of a sudden. hmmm..."
"I have ordered from Doggiefood.com 3 times now. The first 2 were great. The last one was 3+ weeks ago where I ordered 2 30lb bags of dog food. I received one after 2.5 weeks and no signs of the 2nd bag. I have emailed them numerous times and left service voicemails with no luck. I call their 800 number every few hours and have tried all the extension options (1 is broken) and can never get a hold of anyone else. I'm not sure what happened but I can't rely on feeding my pets with food from them."
"They only sent half of my order and then customer service was nonexistent. It's been two weeks, and I still don't have an answer if they are going to send me the rest or refund the cost that they already charged (before even shipping the product!). "
"I bought a bag of food off of their website and days later when I never got an email saying my order shipped I called them. The lady on the phone said that FedEx is having a problem with their server and she couldn't tell me where my package was. I asked her if it had even shipped and she said she wasn't sure, again blamed it on FedEx. I know several companies that ship hundreds of orders out daily and even if they can't tell you WHERE it is they can at least tell you if it SHIPPED or not. Clearly the order never even went out and they want to try to blame it on another company. Here's a tip: when your company messes up, OWN it! Don't try blaming it on someone else. Now I am out of dog food and AND $53. NEVER ordering from this place again! "
"DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!I have been ordering from doggiefood.com since September 2012 and have spent approximately $2,000 per year on their website since that time. The only problem I experienced over the past few years was items occasionally taking a few weeks to arrive however, whenever I contacted doggiefood.com via email or telephone, I always received a quick response and often times, dealt directly with the owner.Unfortunately, since January 2015, I've experienced nothing but problems with my orders. Recently, a few items were out of stock and I had to follow up on the status after a significant period of time went by. I agreed to substitute the products with products that were in stock and still had to follow up on the status a few times. I eventually received them. My most recent order was placed on March 15th and my credit card was charged in full at the time the order was placed. To date, I've only received 2 of the items I ordered which, were shipped directly from the manufacturer. I've sent several emails regarding the status of the remaining items both to the customer service contact as well as to the owner of the company and have only received automatically generated responses indicating that the request has been received and is being reviewed by support staff. I've tried calling doggiefood.com but the only options available via telephone are to leave a message. I'm not sure what has changed at the company but something is definitely wrong. I've received a few emails from doggiefood.com in the past few weeks which included promotional videos starring the owner of the company and I also noted that the company's Facebook page was recently updated. I think doggiefood.com should spend less time on these types of promotional activities and more time servicing existing, long term customers. Charges should not be applied to credit cards until orders are ready to be shipped, items should be shipped promptly and emails and telephone calls should not go unanswered. "I agree with 97% of the reviews on this site and other as well concerning doggiefood.com,. Over the past year, receiving my orders kept taking longer and longer. I order about $900/year in food from them. NO MORE. I placed an order on March 9. I emailed and called, 4 times but never had any acknowledgement about my order. It took 3 weeks to get my order and then it wasn't correct. I have since called them and emailed again, now 5 times, but I'm getting absolute silence. Something has gone terribly wrong with this company. I have an online business myself and take pride in my customer service and quality of the product. Each one of my customers is valued and if I treated my customers the way doggiefood.com is treating theirs, I absolutely deserve to be put out of business. Chewy.com is the best!!! go there!"
"I have been with them for a few years now and have had no issues....I hope to continue with them as the prices are great. The shipping time is unreal, so fast. I spend about $100. a month with them, sometimes more. I have not had any shipping issues, or missed items. I have noticed that the invoice in one box may show all items ordered and appears they ship at the same time but one box might arrive a day later. Seriously fast shipping and no issues. "
"I have been shopping for several years with doggiefood.com. spending around $500 per year. I have put up with their shipping mishaps (missing cases in orders,) because I would call and it would be rectified. This last time I was only missing one case of dog food, about $18.00 worth of merchandise. I spoke with someone I've never spoken with before, Chelsea. She seems to be the customer support rep now. In the past I had spoken to the owner and the owners son. Cheslea informed me that they ship their food from multiple locations and sometimes there are problems since they have no control over the shipping and packing. After about 2 weeks of sporadic conversation, she tells me that the weights of the boxes proves i got all my cases. Well i did not recieve all of my cases and i wouldn't make this up for i work 9-5 and it was inconvenient talking back and forth with her. I mentioned i would never be shopping with doggiefood.com again and guess what she never returned my call again. I think this is truly unfair and unprofessional, i will be filing a complaint with the better business bureau. I am writing this because i have never dealt with this type of rude and unproffesional behavior from a business i have spent so much money with consistently for years. They always messed up my orders and many of the cans were always heavily dented yet i stayed loyal due to the price and the fact that i am not an affluent person and need the discounted price. It is worth spending a few extra dollars to be treated respectfully and honestly. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!!"
