I have been in contact with them for over a month because my compressor I bought 10 months ago is no longer working. I have had 2 reputable mechanics concur that the problem I am having is the compressor. So I called Discount AC Parts and for a month they gave me the run-around asking me to have other things checked, which I did. When it turned out that it is the compressor they will not ship a new one without a deposit. I will not send them any more money or spend any more money checking other things. They are refusing to send a new part and refusing to pay the mechanic for all the \u0022checking\u0022 they told me I had to do before they would send me a new part (which they now have no record of telling me to do those things). They conviently lost the fax I sent 3 times, which I know they reeived becuase I have the verification report and spoke to them that they recieved it. Put my old coil which was still good on that compressor and it started to leak after 3 weeks. The guarantee is a joke since they ask you to return the fail compressor at your own expense ( 40.00 $ +),before sending you a replacement or they ask for 425.00 deposit and you just might get a another piece of junk. Stay away from that company.They are reals highway robbers. Buy a new compressor from a honest dealer even if you pay more. All said and done, about $400 extra out of my pocket because instead of tackling the job myself(yes I could have with BASIC wrenches! and and AC repair tech friend) with just the OEM parts, I bought their NON-OEM parts and had a professional do the job. Now I don\u0027t have OEM parts in my car AND(!) spent more than I had to. It\u0027s like shooting yourself twice.<br><br>As a side note, even though this isn\u0027t their fault, UPS gave a false delivery date that caused me to have to cancel the first scheduled repair date. "I Ordered parts for a 97 Saturn. Recieved the wrong expansion valve and a compressor that would not bolt up to the suction line without adaptor that I can not find at any local parts stores. After reading the store policy it says that they will not refund any wrong or mis-shipped items. I have bought local ac parts and thought that I would try an on-line vendor. The local parts vendors ac compressors came with warranty paper work, instructions, any needed o-rings or gaskets and if they were the wrong parts they had no trouble refunding my money. I was told that they may try to warranty the parts as defective. They said to ship them back and they would see if they could. I am going to spend the money to return the part and hope that they will refund my money.
The company did refund the money for the compressor and expansion valve. I think that the company should list parts that are needed to install their part or what parts are included. Most all replacement ac parts will require new o-rings or gaskets. Also I am concerned that the parts came from another vender and without any paper work. I am going to stick to the local parts store's were I can look in the box and see what I am getting. "
