"Reading all the negative reviews, I was a little scared to order from this website. However, I took the risk and have to say that it was a 5 star experience. The book was really well priced and reached within a week in standard USPS mail. They also give a tracking number. The only drawback is that it does not have a phone number in contact us, however, on emailing, I got a response within an hour. Thanks a lot! I would recommend this website."
"I would agree with everything posted so far. This is a complete joke. They provide NO phone number to contact ANYONE WHATSOEVER. Not only that, but they obviously DON'T check their email. I tried to cancel an order within 24 hours of purchase and they still shipped out like 2 days later like Oo/ do not buy so much as a Sudoku book from them."
"I accidentally purchased the wrong book for a class from DirtCheapBooks4U via Amazon.com. I realized my mistake within 20 minutes of making the purchase. I emailed Amazon and DirtCheapBooks of this and that I wanted to cancel the order. Amazon gave me a written response of the cancellation but DCB still sent the book 3 days later. The DCB rep Karla P lied and said they didn't know I cancelled the order and didn't check their email in time even though the book wasn't shipped until after she wrote me her email. Then when I returned the book via certified US mail the way Karla P told me to, Karla P said they never received it and THEN told me I should have paid extra for mail with "proof of receipt" and she refused to refund the cost of the book even though I mailed it back to DCB. This company has liars and thieves."
"Seems in the last four years, their service hasn't changed. How do they stay in business? Two months has gone by and I have yet to recieve my book. I have contacted them directly, but they refuse to do anything. It was the USPS who lost the book, but they should refund me and take it up with USPS, not let me carry the debt. I'd be better off paying twice the price to actually get my money back or reasonable customer support."
"I purchased three books from them, but they mistakenly sent two copies of the same title. I wanted one copy, plus one copy of the work book which was part of the same text. I tried six times to contact them and they never replied. I tried to contact them via e-bay and e-bay could find them either. They do not list any phone numbers and do not reply to their emails. A shoddy outfit if I ever heard of one."
"Their site says they would ship the book I ordered within 24 hours. I placed the order on Nov 30 yet as of Dec 9 the book hasn't been received by the post office, let alone me. The will not provide a phone number to call them. I do NOT recommend them. True, their prices are slightly better than Amazon, but I've never had a problem with Amazon.UPDATE (12/10/05): the Post Office now shows the package in transit so hopefully I'll receive the book early next week. Regardless, it's very difficult to do business with a company that doesn't provide a phone number to call if there are problems."
