"The PC case I ordered was badly damaged and had to be RMA'd. No Big deal usually but - Their email states not to contact them, until they contact you. I already felt like I was going to get screwed after reading that. I sent the case back (at a cost of $15) on the 14th of Sept. and have yet to hear from them. It's the 27th now. I've been buying parts online for over ten years and these guys are lame when it comes to customer service. Never again."

"Having a horrible experience; waiting for two items for over a week and a half now, order on UPS shows lost, no response from Directron; won't do business with these guys again. Calling credit card company to have charges reversed."

"I ordered a keyboard with hot keys for internet etc...a keyboard arrived w/o those features. I ordered a speaker system (seems to work fine). I also ordered 2 Memory modules. They arrived in an envolope that allowed them to rub each other during transportation. I installed them and they caused system to crash. Upon removing them the system worked fine. I am for sure the memory I ordered was what the computer could handle. What I think is that the sticker on the modules have 133mhz marked out on them and 100mhz (what I had ordered) wrote over them. I am in the process of trying to get money refunded as I do not want to risk another set of badly packaged memory and/or just plain defective memory."

"Even thought their prices are competitive, they are very short on the phone and could care less about your order. I had to fax them paperwork 3 times, and then I had to email it also because their system was not reading it. Even the manager was short. Not worth the hassle. I will not spend any more money at their store. "

"I purchased an OCZ Vertex II SSD drive from them, and it failed shortly thereafter (AVOID OCZ). Their RMA procedure is for me to send it to them, they send it to OCZ, OCZ send a new drive to them, and then Directron sends it to me. 3 WEEKS! Nice. 3 weeks to boot an SSD drive. Skip the SSD, and shop elsewhere."

“This order was placed in October of 2010. The warranty period is one year with Directron. If we still had the item in stock, we could accept the return and ship a replacement immediately. This was originally a special order item which has been discontinued from OCZ. Directron is a reseller, not the manufacturer. We would be more than happy to talk to OCZ to see if the RMA process can be expedited.”

"I purchased a custom built system from this company for over $1500. I was told that system would be tested before it was shipped. When the system arrived I could not do something as simple as load windows xp on it. After spending over 20 hrs on the phone with the support department of the several of the manufacturer's of parts in the sytem, I was told directly by the motherboard manufacturer that I need to send the system back to the vendor. That they obviously did not test the sytem.

After delivering it back to the company they claim that there is nothing wrong with the system when I have pictures and documented support sessions that prove that it is. They tried to make me pay a 20% restocking fee. Currently I have disputed the charges with my bank and am trying to warn people who read these reviews to think carefully about any interaction with this company."

"The only reason I keep ordering from this place is because they have better prices than some websites. Unfortunately, their customer service and shipping are horrible. I ordered the items on the 8th, and nothing was shown as backordered. BUT, the next day, one item is backordered. Was told the item would ship by the 10th. Nothing. Was then told the item would ship on the 11th because the item was in. Nope. The items didn't ship till the 14th and received on the 15th. Their customer service is lacking in genuine concern as well. Today is the 18th and I just got the shipping and tracking information by email!!! Highly unsatisfied."

"horrible Company treated me badly on the phone when I called to ask what they were going to do. I ordered a part for $70.00 paid $8.21 for USPS priority Mail which on average take 2-4 days tops to arrive. They shipped my product UPS ground With a 6 day waiting for delivery and made a profit on the cost difference between the two. Then when I asked them why they did not ship my product USPS Priority mail they said they needed more money to send it Via USPS Priority mail. TYPICAL BAIT AND SWITCH charged me more for the shipping and sent it a different and cheaper Currier with a much longer waiting period. I have called now two times to get my money back for the difference in shipping cost. They keep telling me they will look into it and call me back within 24 hours. So far I have waited 48 hours since last call no response. horrible company horrible service.DO NOT BUY FROM DIRECTRON.COM"

“This order was placed on 06/22/2010 and shipped the same day. It was delivered to the ship to address in 3 business days. Directron refunded the full shipping amount of 8.32 on 06/26. We explained there was a shipping calculation error during the online checkout process which caused the order to be shipped UPS. Directron complied with the request of a full shipping refund. Thank you!”

"Ordered some computer parts, paid $30 extra for Priority Mail as I needed the parts quickly. They shipped by the next day. But USPS lost the box, it never left the Houston post office. Not Directron's fault, but after I contacted Directron on Dec 26th 2007 (24 days after I placed the order), they kept telling me to just wait longer. Directron said they had to wait 45 days to file with USPS, but USPS told me 30 days. I had to contact them several times after 45 days were up to get a response over 60 days after the order was placed telling me that I had to wait until USPS made good on the insurance before Directron would refund my money.

It took until Feb 25th 2008 for Directron to refund my money, over 60 days after I contacted them and over 80 days after I placed the order. I feel there was more they could have done to keep me as a customer.

I think the real measure of a person or company is not when things go right, but how they respond when things go wrong."

"Ordered two parts with 2nd day shipping. Shortly after they called and emailed saying that one part was unavailable, and shipping for the other would be an additional $23 because it would be shipping from a different warehouse. I asked them to either honor the original shipping quote or cancel the order. They immediately canceled the order."
