posted May-09-2012 “On 01/21/2012, The order was placed online order for the product in question. The order number is 1859922. This software product has specific warranty instructions listed on our site which you can see here, http://www.directron.com/pb11031003enm2.html. The warranty is as follows:
Limited Warranty: 30-Day from receiving date with Directron.com for same item replacement. No refund or credit for opened software. 7-Day money back from receiving date with 15% for unopened returns. No refund or credit after 7 days.
Like the majority of company's who resell software, Directron does not allow the return of any software that has been opened. Unopened software can only be returned within 7 days from the time of receipt. There is a 30 day exchange warranty if the software is scratched or damaged in transit.
On 04/03/2012 An RMA return request was made requesting a refund. The confirmation number is RMA-32687. This is well beyond the allowed warranty period.
On 04/09/2012 Directron received the returned, opened software. A Directron representative contacted the customer in regards to the warranty policy and informed him we could not honor his request.
On 04/10/2012 Directron shipped the item back to the customer.
On 04/16/2012 the customer refused the shipment and the package was again returned to Directron on 04/20/2012. Directron was billed by UPS for the shipment to and from the customer.
At this time Directron does have the product which needs to be returned yet again. Directron is willing to try to get in touch with the manufacturer of this product so they can offer technical support to the customer for their product as Directron is a reseller and not the manufacturer. The customer states that he emailed Directron in regards to this issue several times. If he can provide the email address he sent the emails to, we will look in to that and see why he did not receive a response. Directron does wish to resolve this issue in a timely manner. The fact is that the customer had this software for nearly three months before letting us know of his issue. We are currently working with the BBB to address this complaint as well.
***UPDATE*** As of 05/09/2012, Directron has offered a full refund of the original purchase price. This offer was not accepted as of yet.”
