They quoted a total purchase cost for less than just the shipping costs from China of a similar item. They then proceeded to charge $ZERO for shipping. THEN they (lord only knows how they did this, dare I say this in public?), DIDN'T charge me any TAXES!!!
How do they do this?

Ordered a Windows Install CD from Directron. Item was processed and shipped promptly, but the CD arrived damaged. Opened up a Damage Report and was told I had to ship the item back at my own cost and would not be reimbursed for shipping. I'm sorry but that's baloney. Why should I have to pay to ship something back when it's the vendor's fault. It's not like I ordered an incompatible item or decided I didn't want it. The item arrived with physical damage. So I most likely will not order from this vendor again nor recommend them to anyone.

Very good service. Customized PC arrived in fine, working order. Packaging was solid...well done. Box within a box and foam peanuts. I have a little technical issue with the assembly of the components but this is a minor detail and should not affect the overall use of the system. I will buy from Directron again in the future.

Products are always 1st class. My compaint is service. Their check in service does not always yeild 1st come 1st served.
Today I was there 9 minutes after they opened, I was the only person in the store. I signed in and waited. Two others came in, one signed in and one went straight to the counter where he was waited on! WTF..why even sign in?
I waited 2 people and 15 miutes later to get 1 ram bar!
Work on service Directron!

I received the HP Ergo 4000 keyboard today, I love it. This keyboard was everything I had hope it would be. This company shipped my keyboard to me fast and I could not believe how reasonable the shipping was as also the keyboard price. I would recommend Directron to anyone who wants a great deal. I used PayPal and the transaction went smooth and Directron emailed me my information without delay. This keyboard was sent out just a few minutes after the transaction was completed. I will definitely deal with this company again....Thanks

Ordered a D-Link 7 port USB hub.
Expect to receive it tomorrow or Thursday.
They have vastly improved their PayPal payment option, in the past you had to send the payment manually.

Bought the Jetway HA-04 Extreme 790fx. Awsome! Fast Shipping. Was a little work, but Woohoo, finally got it working. Running a Phenom II X4 940 quad 3ghz processor. Using OCZ 6400 800mhz Flex EX, and ati 4870 graphics. Needed a lower end processor (i used semprom am2)because bios the board came with doesnt recognize my quad. You also need a floppy drive with A:\ so you can flash bios to newest version. When I flashed using agp I pressed enter after starting the program and you end up not flashing but think you do. Learned just not to touch it and it'll load, then ask to save bios, had to say no because it saves to a: and not enough room. then it asks to post bios, and selected yes and posted right in. After that I installed my Quad and at first didn't boot up. OOps, forgot to reset cmos. Kind of neat is the board has 3 small buttons on it. Power, reset, and cmos. Well, pressing just cmos doesnt seem to do anything, so I pressed cmos holding it down, then pressed reset, and voila, the processor booted right up. Now just have to clock it.

Web site fairly easy to navigate. Check out painless. Shopping cart easy to use. Shipping options very good. What I liked most was the oppportunity to tell them how I wanted my order packed and shipped, something N***** and X***** among others don't allow you to do. IMO Customer Service starts before an order is shipped rather than after you have a problem from poor packaging, etc.

I placed a phone order with Directron on April 17th for a customer custom machine with Home Edition XP. The gentleman with whom I placed the order was, without doubt well versed in computers and knowledgeable of each and every component. At the completion of the order, he merely stated that the motherboard ordered was capable of supporting significantly higher rated components than I selected. I certainly appreciated his comment and took no offense but merely mentioned my requirements for a replacement machine were rather minimal.
Although the representative stated it may be seven to ten days before I receive the machine, it was delivered, unscathed the following Thursday.
Although there were some minor problems initially trying to contact Directron to place the order, when I was able to make contact, I had a very poor connection and their representative graciously agreed to return my call. Without doubt, I am extremely well pleased with the service from Directron and will gladly do business with them in the future.

This merchants service far below satisfactory.
1) After ordering an item from them on May 15 I received a telephone call on May 16th stating the order was 'on hold' and I needed to register my ship to with the credit card issuer.AT no time during the order process was I informed that this would be the case.
2) rather than do this I called them on May 16th and cancelled the order
3) The customer service rep I spoke with said I would receive an e-mail confirmation of the cancellation, which I did not receive
4) I had to call AGAIN on may 18th and spoke with a representative who told me the ORDER WASN'T CANCELLED. I then told him to cancel the order AGAIN and received an e-mail confirmation
5) On the 20th of May, I noted the 'HELD ORDER' had been charged to my credit card.
%)If you do not see the problem with situation then go ahead and order from these turkeys, you get what you deserve
