"Okay lets start out that I am very close to 82 years old. Have purchased, and constructed 11 computers since 1984. All were built for PC Gaming.

After checking Alienware, Maingear and and a few other specialists I gave, "Digital Storm" a try.

My God, they were totally on top of my needs and requirements within the very day I made contact with them.

Sarah and Mike especially quickly understood where I was coming from and and with a little change here and there we had designed my machine.

I was continually informed of the build status and when a particular part became unavailable due to mfg. change I was called by telephone and we easily made the best possible change out. All within a a 2 hour period.

Most excellent personnel working at Digital Storm. The Message boards are continually assisting anyone with a problem and I am a recipient of the message boards and "Mike" made a "grand" assist over the telephone just recently. Very knowledgeable people all around.

If you want the BEST the BUY Digital Storm.

"Ordered: 10/01/07
Shipped: 10/15/07
Recieved: 10/22/07

Actual completion time in "business" days was 11, very acceptable for a custom built computer.

After reviewing the forums on their website, I had a few questions before I made my purchase. All of my questions were answered, some by other members and some by employees of DS, in the end I saved about 600 bucks by NOT getting some things I didn't need. You wont find many people trying to get you to KEEP your money .. LOL .. that alone was all it took for me to take the plunge.

I bought a rather simple computer, no OC, no SLI, no frills, although I did get the Stage II cooling for the Quad-Core processor. My computer arrived with no damage (thanks UPS), and very well packaged. I open the system to install my modem and I almost thought the computer industry had gone wireless, I could hardly see the wiring, incredible job, and at NO EXTRA CHARGE to me. The instructions were easy to follow and I was up and running in about 5
minutes, the computer thus far hasn't missed a beat. Loaded up F.E.A.R., ran it maxed out and couldn't believe my eyes... PERFECTION, DETAIL, SPEED, its all there just as it was promised it would be, I can't wait for Crysis.

Thanks DS and its Forum members for their support. !!

"I have never bought a custom PC, but decided I wanted a gaming rig, and I was so confused where to begin. I did a ton of research, looked at pricing, customer service, timframes, everything! Then buidling my new PC, scared me some. What if I got something that wasn't compatible? What if there is a more cost effective and better option? Will this do what I need? Well, ALL of my fears and questions were answered. I even got recommendations on how to SAVE money of the original configuration I picked out! And, I received my awesome new PC, quicker than I thought, even during the holiday season. I wholeheatedly recomment Digital Storm Online, whether this is your 10th custom PC, or your first!"

"Here's a quick summary:

Order process: went smooth, was notified about a delay due to GPU shortage, even upgraded the CPU mid-way into the build with no delay

shipment: ordered on Nov 21, 2007, shipped Dec 12, 2007. Order shipped 6-day ground instead of the 2-day air I requested, no biggie, I was refunded the difference.

System: Couldn't have asked for a more perfect system out of the box. Although, digital storm forgot to install a second operating system like I had requested. I spoke with customer service and it was all settled, they even called me back to apologize.

overall, this was a great purchase and I am glad I chose digital storm. The customer service could be a little better, but the quality of the build more than makes up for it."

"I am very happy with my purchase from this reseller.

I was looking to purchase a BlackBird but, after speaking with the Digital Storm sales team and reading the reviews these guys have made my decision.

Purchasing experience to delivery were all hit dead on. The machine is flawless and is stable. They managed to overclock my Q6600 processor to 3.6GHz on AIR!

Definitely recommending this company to anyone that will listen."

"I am very satisfied with the overall product I ordered from DS. The computer was wired very neatly and everything was in place from initial open. I recently had to replace a bad stick of RAM from corsair through DS and the customer service was very good. It is refreshing to call and talk to american people for customer support."

"I'm in my 40's and I've been playing computer games since there were personal computers to play them on, and certainly before there were 'gaming rigs'.

When my last rig, from another high profile gaming computer manufacturer, who was high on flash and not so much on substance, finally died, I decided to try somebody else. I noticed an ad in PC Gamer for DS and what caught my eye was claims of great customer service and technical support and custom PC builds that use standard high quality non-proprietary components.

When I ordered the computer I got the expected auto email response acknowledging my purchase and started getting email updates on a regular basis. Within a few days after I placed the order I got an email informing me that my chosen processer was on back order and would potentially delay my order for a month. However, instead of leaving it at that, they offered me a choice of upgrading or downgrading my proc in order to keep my order on time. I really appreciated this because they told me exactly what was available right in the first email without making me do any research on my own.

Anyway I chose a different proc and got my rig well within the promised 5-10 days.

What I love most about my DS PC is the whole no-frills approach to the software. I know, 'no-frills' may not sound like a positive thing, but to me it is awesome. Allow me to explain...

My last two gaming rigs came with software that I didn't need, didn't want, and actually interfered with some of my games. Imagine that! A gaming computer that comes with pre-installed software that generates conflits with your games! I'm talking serious conflicts here, too, CTD's and complete hard-locks.

Anyone who spends lots of money on a computer which is primarily for playing high end games knows that it takes serious horse power to play these games and I personally don't like my PC junked up with a bunch of software that I don't need or want. They eat up much needed computer resources. Yes, I can simlply uninstall them, but sometimes this can be difficult and why should I have to?

Digital Storm puts only what you need on the system to make it a lean, mean gaming machine, which is the way I like it.

Digital Storm's customer service so far has been first rate. I can't yet speak about their technical support, but that too is a good thing since I haven't needed it.

I am very happy with my Digital Storm PC. They have been very good in communicating with me, something a lot of companies don't understand the importance of. The PC itself is awesome, and I am extremely happy with it.

I currently have 4 PC's at home, two of them are gaming rigs (one for my son), and I make purchasing decisions for a very small business (1 server, 5 workstations). When it is time to replace any of the computers I am responsible for (including the business computers), I will be seriously considering DS for those purchases because they have really impressed me so far. Thank you Digital Storm!"

"I was searching for a barebones company that could fit my project needs. I looked at 4 other companies, but Digital Storm kept popping up as best rated. I am not (and you will not) be disappointed! The communication from the beginning was exceptional. I had spent a lot of time trying to understand how the components work together worried that I could chose the wrong one and have problems, but Digital Storm eliminated all of that. It certainly was not a long wait, but it was well worth the time it took for this incredible lightening fast custom built system to arrive! Incredible! I don’t think I have the appropriate words to truly express how I feel about the performance of the company and the machine. Gamers will love these systems, and no-one, even commercial needs such as mine, should overlook this company. Time, Money, Product, Communication...Awesome! "

"The e-mail notifications promised by DigitalStorm relating to the progress of my order were received in a timely manner. My computer was built and shipped over a period of ten days. I received the computer within three days of shipment. The container in which it was packed was not damaged and contained excellent packing materials to protect against damage during transit. The contents of the shipping box were neatly arranged and well secured. All parts were present and accounted for. In fact, I recieved many cables and connecters that were not needed for my particular configuration. The computer was exactly as I had configured it. All the software that I requested was installed and worked properly. No extra (junk) software was loaded for which I am thankful. The cables, wires, and connectors within the case were neatly arranged (I paid the extra money for round cables and clean arrangement of internal wiring with which I am quite satisfied). The computer boots much faster than any other of the 12 computers I have owned in the past. I compose music on my computer using Sonar 7 and many other music and audio software and hardware components. All have run perfectly on the computer. Even pushed to the limit running multiple audio programs concurrently, the computer does not choke or complain. The only recommendation I can make to DigitalStorm is to include a good diagram of the innards of the computer so that I can better add and maintain hardware components. Keep in mind I have only had the computer for about two weeks. However, I must say that it has been a pleasure dealing with the people at DigitalStorm, and I am thus far very happy with their computer and their service. They have responded in a timely manner to all my e-mail mesages. Since nothing has gone wrong with the computer, I have not had to call for technical assistance. I will update the review in six months to let all interested parties know how things are going with my computer at that time."
