Their shipper, UPS, lost my shipment, a digital camera. This part was a UPS problem and not Digital Megastore's fault. But, Digital Megastore handled the situation very very poorly.
I was first promised by Digital Megastore that I would have to wait 7 days before they could ship out a replacement, while they waited for UPS to process the claim. Most stores I have shopped at will send you out a replacement immediately when a shipment is lost or arrives broken.
7 days later, nothing had happend yet, Digital Megastore had not contacted me. I had to find a time to call them on my own time, and they have fairly limited customer service hours. Then I had to wait on hold for a long time before I was able to get someone on the phone, who told me 5 to 7 more days. To make a long story short. I was repeatedly told that everything would take 5-7 days before they could send me a replacement or get me a refund. I would have to call back 5-7 days later, and would hear the same broken record again and again.
In my opinion the people were extremely nice, but the service was extremely terrible. I don't think I would shop here again, and I would recommend you don't shop here either, unless you don't mind waiting well over a month before getting a replacement or refund on a lost shipment, don't mind having a lingering negative amount on your balance sheet for a long time, and don't mind spending lots of time on hold and following up on your own in case of any customer service issues.
Eventually I was told they were finally agreeing to give me a refund and it would take 5 to 7 days. 5 to 7 days later, still no refund. 5 to 7 days after that I did finally receive a refund, well over a month after my original order."
"Purchased a Canon Digital EOS Rebel from Digital Mega Store. I have seen so many ratings during this procees that I just had to put in my praise for this store. No pressure, no hassel, no problems!!! My camera shipped a day ealier then they said it would and arrived a day earlier than FedEx said itr would. The price was one of the best that I have seen."

"To those who would order any product from DigitalMegaStore, consider my experiences with their personnel, "Jim" and "Dave". I ordered a Sony RDR-HX900 DVD recorder on Jan 25. They applied a $19.85 charge for 3 day Fed Ex shipping and immediately charged my credit card.
On Jan 31st a call to "Dave" who stated he couldn't understand what happened with the order, but that he would ship it overnight Fed Ex. Confirming email sent to "Dave" about the phone call. No shipment received.
I called on Feb 3rd and talked to "Jim" who said the item had been out of stock and that he would refund the shipping charge and ship the order on Feb 6th if I would not cancel it. A confirming email was sent on what "Jim" had said and agreed to. The order did arrive on Feb 7th, but the shipping refund did not occur even after a third email was sent asking them to honor their agreement.
The bottom line is...is that DigitalMegaStore may have some good prices and some will probably get good service if the item is in stock, but I would never consider doing business with them again due to their outright dishonesty about stock, promises to ship in a timely manner, refund shipping charges and refusing to respond to emails regarding the order. Their method appears to be to promise you anything to keep that order going.
After this post hit, personnel from Digital MegaStore called me to offer to make things right. They agreed to refund the shipping charge which finally posted on 17 Feb on my credit card. A three year warranty on the product was also offered. They were also very apologetic about their service. I am now mildly satisified with the final results of this experience. These rating companies are so necessary. "

"I've downgraded my rating from high to low. Great price on my camcorder. They called to confirm and offered an accessory package but happily took no for an answer. Item arrived in 5 days (3 business days).
I have had 2 problems after the sale. During the 3 days between ordering and shipping, the price dropped by $12, so I called and they agreed to credit the $12. Also, the bar code sticker (required to get a $100 Marriott hotel bonus) was missing from my box; when I called, they said that's because they're not an authorized Sony dealer, but they would try to get a sticker from their distributor.
A month later, I'd heard nothing and received no refund. I was unable to reach them by phone (got put on hold and disconnected); in response to 4 faxes, they faxed back a copy of their policy that rebates are the responsibility of the manufacturer. That's fine, but the manufacturer can't be expected to give a rebate if the retailer rips off part of the packaging as this outfit did.
Finally I disputed the transaction on my credit card, so they gave me the $12 but ignored my request for the $100.
I would avoid this store."

"This company was straight forward and professional! After reading store reviews on several cam websites, I was initially scared to death to order from any of them.I first called this store before I ordered online to ensure that they had the product in stock. I spoke with "Abe" and he assured me that they did. I informed him that I did not want to receive a follow up call about my order. He explained that was only done with purchases over $2000 and since mine was well under that, I wouldn't receive a call. I purchased the new JVC Everio GZ-MG27 on a monday at 11:30 am and received it on Wed. at approx. the same time! The camcorder was packaged nicely and the product itself was new from the manufacturer as stated. I would definately reccomend this store to anyone and will purchase from them again! "

After ordering my Panasonic DMC-TZ5 camera, I talked to Fred on the phone(extension 522). He asked me if I'd read all the reviews concerning the poor battery life and long charging time of the baterry that comes with the camera. I had read reviews, but nothing to that effect. He did, however, catch me off guard, and for that reason I bought an extra $39 battery for the camera on his recommendation. Upon receipt of the camera, I was surprised to find that the battery that came with the camera charged fully the 1st time in less than 2 hours! After that I read multiple online reviews praising the battery life of the camera.
In summary- delivery was fast, but I do not appreciate being scammed into buying more than I need. I sent an email to Fred before writing this negative review to let him know of my dissatisfaction- he has not responded to my email.
"I placed an order for a Yamaha RX-V663 for $349.00 on February 26th after reading positive reviews for this product. I then proceded to cancel via e-mail (following the link provided on the website to do so) this order approximately 10-12 hours later after belatedly (my fault) reading overwhelmingly negative reviews concerning this merchant. I also discovered that they are not an authorized online Yamaha dealer, hence the generic extended warranty; Yamaha WILL NOT honor a warranty unless the product is purchased from an authorized online dealer... Approximately 4-5 DAYS LATER I received a shipping notification e-mail which also indicated that I would also be charged an extended warranty, WHICH I DID NOT REQUEST. This was reflected on my bank statement in the amount of $398.99. I contacted my "Account Manager" Alex, who immediately transferred me to "Customer Service", which, in my opinion, is nothing short of a joke; after remaining on "Hold" for 20 minutes (must be a tactic used to discourage complaints, returns, etc.), I concluded telephone contact was not the way to go. I then contacted UPS, explained the situation to them, and informed them that I would be refusing delivery to avoid any return shipping charges. No problem there. I sent e-mails to DigitalMegaStore almost daily (Tammy@digitalmegastore.com and Sara@digitalmegastore.com), keeping them informed of my intentions and repeatedly requesting a credit back to my bank account. I also contacted the fraudulent transactions division of my bank to cancel my debit card as well as the Better Business Bureau (read their complaint history concerning this company as well, by the way). I was responsible for the transaction since I authorized it, so nothing could be resolved until the merchant received the merchandise back. Anyway, I DID get the entire transation amount credited back to my account near the end of March, ALMOST THREE WEEKS after DigitalMegaStore received the Yamaha receiver. DigitalMegaStore had almost $400.00 of my money needlessly tied up for almost a month due to them shipping an order 4-5 days AFTER I notified them to cancel it. BEWARE OF DEALINGWITH THIS MERCHANT...be sure to check out ANY online merchants with resellerratings.com FIRST!!! I wish I had.."
