"This company is not honest. I ordered an olympus 9000 new--they shipped out a used camera and accessories in a box. The stuff was thrown in and not new. I expected to get a new (in the box) camera as they said I would. They are not a company I would ever shop with again. BEWARE!!!!!"

"I ordered a Olympus Stylus 9000 Camera, receive it within 4 days- fast delivery this is where the pros end. The day I ordered got a phone call from "customer service" and they tried to talk me into upgrading lithium batteries (camera came with one already)I said no- he hung up on me.
When I opened up my package- it was in a plain white box- not company packaged with some components wrapped in plastic and others were not wrapped in anything at all. Screen had a scratch on it- made my very supspicous because I orded an Olympus from another distributer and that camera was in a proper box and packaging.
It looks like a used- or perhaps refurbished camera. I called the company they answered the phone "hello" I proceeded to ask what the name of the company was- and asked if they sold new or refurbished, used merchandise. They told me new- I explained how the camera was packaged and how I supspected it was used they were rude and they hung up on me.
I am now stuck with what appears to be a used or perhaps refubished Christmas gift for my husband!
I would never order from them again!!"

"This Company is the worst I have dealt with on the internet, bar none. I placed my order for a Canon EOS Rebel T1i on Thursday the 12th of November for $639.00 + Shipping for a total invoice of $ 647.49. A few minutes after I ordered, a representative who called himself "Frankie" called to verify my shipping address and proceeded to try to sell me more accessories for the camera, I listened to him and told him no thank you, this was a gift for my husband and he could look for any accessories once he had the camera. Of course the real reason I did not agree to buy the accessories is they were grossly overpriced!!! The gentleman thanked me and stated he would add the extra battery to my order at no charge to ensure I was satisfied and would be a repeat customer, I even repeated to him, no thanks, I just want the camera. Well that afternoon I received a notice that my card was being debited $807.48 from EMS Wholesale trading! I immediately replied to the email that this was a mistake and I had only ordered $647.49 and to refund my card the extra $159.99. I received an email back stating I had to call their customer service number to resolve any issues. I called and spoke to a man named "Stan" who proceeded to tell me the order was processed with the 5 hour battery and it was too late to stop it as it had already shipped. I was shocked, there was no way the item had shipped between 5 PM EST and 8 AM EST and I asked for the tracking number. I was told to call back in 10 minutes. I did and no one answered, so I called with my cell phone with an unrecognized number and "Stan" answered again and proceeded to tell me they had a recording of me ordering the battery, at that point, I told him great, if you have a recording, please play it as you will hear me decline the accessories. At that point he said he would cancel the whole order and credit my card. I received a notice that my order was cancelled, but the credit has still not hit my card. Stay away from these sellers!!!"

"This was my complaint:
I am writing to complain of the items I received from you in addition to the camera that I ordered for the price of $418 with free shipping.

After you received my order a gentleman (?) called me to say that the battery packed with the camera was only a 20-minute battery and that I would need a good battery. I chose a “7-hour” battery and the gentleman said if would be about $80 and that he would at that price send me “a case made especially for the Canon G10.”

I received an Invoice with the camera for $541.99—at least $40 over what was quoted to me on the phone. And the price I was quoted was BOGUS! It should not have been more than $470.

I also received a battery virtually identical to the one that came with the camera and your invoice said “5-hour” battery and NOT 7-hour. I have looked online and this battery cost at the highest $50 and can be bought almost anywhere at the lowest price of $13!!! The same battery!!!

The case I received is for a video camera and does not fit the Canon G10 at all!

Naively, I expected to receive a 7-hour Canon battery (did NOT) and a Canon case for the G10 (did NOT).

I do not know how to resolve this and I am hoping against hope that you will make this right!

At the most my bill should have been $480 and probably not that much at all since the items I received were NOT what I ordered. I am hoping you will resolve this by telling me what to do and reducing my bill. This was definitely NOT a “Value Package.”
I was referred to Simon at 800-219-8044. Simon said I was not offered a 7-hour battery. Simon said a 5-hour battery was with the camera packing as a bonus in addition to the other 5-hour battery. Simon did not address the camera case. Simon offered me a 5-year warranty for the camera as a resolution of the "misunderstanding" and I accepted this. As of this writing, of course, I have not received the warranty. I will receive it in a few days.

"Well, where should I start from? I found an awesome price for a Rebel XSi for $465 so I decided to get it! Well RIGHT after I clicked in 'submit' and the transaction was done, I saw the 'Yahoo.net' in the address bar which made me doubt. So I started to google for reviews about this website, and the first one I found was this one, so I was at ease for a while, the next morning I started to do a little more research about the site and I found: http://thoughts-of-dave.blogspot.com/2009/07/digital-hawks-aka-digitalhawks-beware.html that opened my eyes, like it said in the blogspot I knew I was gonna receive 'the call' offering for another battery and and it sounded like they were calling from the outside like a cell phone, the guy was an indian called Frank, they tried to lie to me saying the original battery only lasts for 20 minutes (and they will ALWAYS say the same speech!), so I said I already had extra batteries, and also asked if my credit card was only good in USA or internationally, since I said I didn't know he said 'well, if it's international you'll get the camera from 2 to 3 weeks else I'll call you back',and I was like that a lOOOONG time, and why would you need to call me back? But I didn't say that. The thing started when I read in the blogspot that those people who actually received their purchase complained that the items were opened and not boxed like you would expect, so I decided to cancel the order, when I called Georgiano (more italian impossible) answered the phone with a TERRIBLE English, so I told him I wanted to cancel the order and he IMMEDIATELY said 'OK', and I was like 'wow that was pretty fast' the weird part is that they knew my name by MY ZIP CODE!!! Is that weird or what? Since I was very frustrated and disapointed with not having my new camera, I finished the conversation by saying 'Have a nice day, and please learn some English!' and I hung up. Which it pretty upset him, coz then I kept receiving phone calls from him. Trying to speak with 'miss' Juan Pablo, the italian was smart enough to know that I speak Spanish but not that smart to know that it's a GUY'S NAME! So when he called he just wanted to know why did I hang up on him, (because I know he was gonna hang up on me like they do with almost everybody so I didn't let them that pleasure) so they kept calling, and I would answer and start speaking some real bad Spanish, but he wouldn't go back to English even tho I told him to do so since he couldn't follow my Spanish either! So they kept calling but then I got tired and I would just let it ring, and they insisted, so I answered but just left the phone on the table, so they would end up by hanging up again. Until I got tired of this and I called back and the italian dumb answered and asked him if there was something else he needed to cancel my order and he said no, so I asked him if there was any receipt number or something to tell me the order was canceled, and he said 'mail you', so I tried to confirm ' are you gonna e-mail it to me?' and he said 'yes'. Of course not true.
Well what they do is 'bait and switch', they'll have really good prices, without actual stock, very uneducated people with a very fancy answering machine making you believe they're serious, and then they'll try to sell you an overpriced item. I wouldn't be a problem if you actually get your stuff but you DON'T!!
Ah and one more thing, they write they're own reviews right here in, so don't trust everything you read! And easy way to spot them would be coz they don't us capital letter or any kind of punctuation!!!
So DON'T BUY FROM DIGITALHAWKS.COM!!!!
It was to good to be true...Good luck!
Juan Pablo"

"I ordered a Canon Digital PowerShot A1000 camera and a 2GB SD memory card.

The day after I placed my order, the seller called and informed me that the card I had ordered would not work well in the camera – he said it would take 6 seconds to shoot a picture and the video mode wouldn't work at all. He told me that I should instead order a different card that was double the price. I knew that the card I ordered would work, as my daughter has the exact same camera with a smaller card and it works fast and well both for still shots and video. I told the man I wanted to delete the card from my order. The seller said he wouldn't do that and would send what I had ordered. He rudely hung up on me.

I received the camera 16 days later and I was surprised to find that it was not the gray camera I had ordered but PURPLE instead. I also found that it was missing the 32 MB card that the manual says is included (and that came with my daughter's camera). It was also missing some of the usual plastic packaging and wrapping that comes with new items – the batteries were not packaged as new and after using the camera for ten minutes the batteries were dead. I have to wonder if the camera has been used before. It was supposed to be new and stated that a manufacturer’s warranty was included.

I am NOT pleased with the fact that the seller lied to me and that I received a product color that I did NOT order and which has a missing part and used batteries.

I would NOT order from this merchant again. I don’t trust him.

FOLLOW-UP POST two days later:

The digital camera I got is BROKEN. I thought it was just the batteries, but now I found out it's the camera!! After 10 minutes of use, no matter what new batteries I put in, the camera says "change batteries" and the screen goes black and the camera shuts down.

DigitalHawks poses as a dealer of NEW equipment, saying on their webstie that the products have a 1-year manufacturers' warranty. The camera I bought did NOT have the warranty card enclosed.

I not allowed to list the website which shows further such negative reviews, but I'll just say that one should research DigitalHawks before purchasing from them. I wish I hadn't wasted my time and money...

"Dreadful! I made my purchase in mid-November, and still have not received my complete order. It is now mid-January. The original camera I purchased was defective and I had to send it back to be replaced. Finally received the replacement after weeks of delay and several phone calls, but still have not received additional items that were to be included in my original order. Such is the unfortunate nature of doing business via the internet..."

"SCAM
They try to get you to buy extra stuff so they can make up the difference for the "good price" they list. What a rip off. Everything is on backorder if you don't get the extra items they are selling.
ANY company that has to call you or you have to call them after a transaction is not on the up and up.
I notice that on this "ratings" site that all the reviewers for digitalhawks.com are one time users. hmmmmmm
BEWARE of DigitalHawks.com"
