"This is NOT a good review. I feel I have received terrible service and promises broken. I ordered a faucet. No one contacted me to tell me that the CA customers must have a lead-free faucet. So my order sat until I contacted them. They assured me that a lead-free faucet was in the warehouse and it would be shipped that day and a shipping confirmation would be sent. I did not received a shipping confirmation so I called another day. They aren't answering the 888-328-4152 number that shows on their website. I feel there is a hugh lack of customer service."

"My worst online shopping experience to date. I ordered a $526 toilet from DPO May 10, 2010. Two weeks later I contacted them because I had not been sent any shipping information. They said the item was being shipped that day. The toilet was not shipped, however my credit card was CHARGED AGAIN for another $526. I contacted them the next day, May 26, to let them know about the double charge and was told it would be credited. My toilet final arrived five weeks after placing the original order, but I still have a duplicate charge totaling $1052.00 on my AMX card. DPO does not respond to emails concerning the double charge and I cannot reach them over the phone.

I’m not sure how the DPO business is set up. My credit card has them listed as “Faucet Depot” doing business as Hersch Pipe and Supply in Van Nuys CA. But even calling Hersch Pipe and Supply directly does not help in getting to a DPO sales rep.

I would be very, very wary about ordering anything from this business. I am waiting now on American Express to clear up the double charge, since DPO is unresponsive."

"Designer Plumbing Outlet/Depot has competitive prices. I can actually get a real human being when I call. However, their website for the item I purchased was very deceptive. The item indicated free shipping, the detail of the item indicated free shipping, the shipping line on the order indicated $0.00 for shipping. After I entered my credit card info and pressed submit, it returned with an order confirmation page and processed my CC with a shipping fee. This transaction occurred on the weekend and I immediately sent an e-mail to correct the problem. There was no response. A few days lapsed and I called the toll-free number and the rep Diana indicated that the item was not eligible for free shipping and it had already shipped. I printed off the pages through the order process so that I have proof that the shipping was zero until the point that they charged my CC and provided a confirmation. Be very careful of shipping with this company."

"They appear to be either out of business or a scam. There is no contact information listed on the website, apart from a phone number that nobody answers and an email address that also is not responded to (and a nonfunctional live chat link). I ordered a faucet on 1/12 and have not received it yet. The order status page lists no tracking number or other information. I plan to do a chargeback with the credit card company."

"The company appears to be out of business and I have been charged for unshipped items. I placed an order for four items totaling $440. I was immediately charged for all four items and was not told any were on backorder, although ALL were needed for the plumbing installation. I received ONE item promptly. I thought it was strange they would charge me for all four items when three were backordered. I called and was told my other items would ship in three weeks. Four weeks have passed and DSO's website is accepting no orders and notes that any customer due refunds should send a fax or email. I called DSO's phone number during regular business hours and receive a recording saying they are closed. I faxed and emailed a refund request and have received no reply. I am wondering if DSO is out of business."

"I ordered a Moen Roman tub faucet and rough valve. Designer Plumbing Outlet decided (without asking me) to substitute a different rough valve that did not work for my application. When I tried to exchange it, they said the valve I wanted was discontinued. It wasn't--I found it several other places."

"Ordered Delta Victorian Shower Set on Monday Dec. 29 08, received on Friday Jan 2 09. The packages was very good. Talked to Customer Service to check in the item in stock befor I ordered it online. A+ Customer Services, A+ Shipping Package, A+ Free Shipping. I will order again with this company."

"I ordered a bunch of Grohe and Alsons fixtures from them. They had the best prices I could find on the web, and ground shipping was free. I was informed that several items were special order, however shipping them was not delayed, and the order arrived in a week. I inquired about a part they carried but not in the unusual color I needed, and they obtained one for me. I will order from them again."

"I had a fantastic experience ordering from Designer Plumbing Outlet. I was a little worried due to low number of reviews on here, but everything went without a hitch. I ordered on July 4, used Google Checkout, on July 7 they charged my card, on July 8th they shipped it. On July 9th it was already at my door (apparently they actually shipped it before google checkout showed it as shipped).

I was a little concerned that it would be out of stock and used live chat with a representative, who was very helpful and told me when it would be shipped.

Very nice."

"Wide selection, good quality products, competitive prices, reasonable shipping charges and excellent communication on order status. This is how all online businesses should be! I would definitely consider for future purchases."
