I spoke at length with the sales rep. before my purchase, I explained that I live in the desert and was concerned about sun fading, she assured me that I would have no problem. After 2 weeks the color was gone then I get the color is not under warranty speech but I can spend more $$$$ and get a better cover.....are you kidding me"
"This company is the worst in my opinion. Ordered bedroom set online. It arrived damaged. They kept putting us off on replacement so we filed eBay complaint. eBay sided with us which required us to ship the items back at our expense. This was more than the $1100 we paid for the set. So we didn't send back. We put it out for trash. Then design furnishings lied and said eBay sided with them. No integrity whatsoever with the trash they sell. If you buy from them, you are making a bad gamble. We also filed a better business bureau complaint. Worst I've seen."
"I think a good sign of great customer service is how a company deals with an issue when things to do not go right. Each and every individual i spoke to was helpful, informative and courteous, even in the face of my frustration.Julie, Tonya & Lisa resolved all of my issues, some were external like shipping and I had my total order in under 10 days. I ordered on the 9th. Well done, I was sceptical, but the product is great and the customer service rocked! Do not hesitate to buy products from this company. If things do go wrong you can be assured they will deal with it in a timely professional manner."

"I ordered an 11 piece outdoor patio set. When I unpacked the order 2 of the pieces were damaged. The company will not issue a replacement for them. I had the Havana Outdoor Patio Set (3B-YC024-A13810) delivered on May 9, 2012. My order number with designfurnishings.com is #1887. I have tried to resolve this issue directly with the company since May 10th but as of today May 30th I am not getting an adequate response which is why I am filing this complaint. The delivery occurred in the morning and the shipment contained 5 large boxes. The exterior of the boxes did not show any sign of damage so I accepted the delivery and went to work. I unpacked the order when I got home from work that afternoon and discovered that the coffee table and one of my club chairs were damaged inside of the box. I immediately called Design Furnishings that day and let them know that I would be filing an online claim form and providing them with pictures of the damage. After filing my claim form it took over two weeks to get in touch with my claim consultant, Jennifer. I was getting the run around everytime that I called. I called everyday at least twice a day and was told that Jennifer was not in yet, on another call, in a meeting, ect. Finally, when I did get in touch with her she indicated that they would issue a $75 credit for my broken glass on the coffee table but that I would have to pay to ship the club chair back and get a new one sent to me. This is an unacceptable response in my opinion. I have paid $2409 for this set and I have not recieved a complete set in my opinion. It is not my fault that there was damage inside of the boxes during shipping and I should not have to incur additional expense to get replacements for the damaged items I recieved. I submitted my claim for within 48 hours like the designfurnishings.com website says I should do but the company is not honoring my request. They should ship me out a new coffee table and club chair to complete my set and upon inspection of the items I will gladly ship the defective pieces back to them with the same carrier. However, that is not a cost that I should be required to pay. This company has made no attempt to make the customer happy and they are not customer service oriented at all. In addition to my damaged items that I recieved, the cushions on the set was also shipped in the wrong color. I ordered my set in Taupe and an additional set of covers in Henna Spice. However, the set I recieved is the Sand color covers. And apparently the Taupe and Henna Spice covers are on back-order but I doubt that I will ever see them based on the level of customer service that I have recieved so far. If I had known this was the level of customer service that I would receive then I would have ordered a patio set from a different company. I understand that when shipping items across the county from California to Maryland that there is a possibility that an item may be damaged. I would expect when this occurs that the company would do everything possible to get the customer the product that they ordered. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY DO NOT VALUE YOU AS A CUSTOMER AND ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY THEY WILL NOT HELP YOU IF YOU HAVE AN ISSUE. SPEND YOUR MONEY WITH A COMPANY THAT APPRECIATES YOUR BUSINESS."
"We had a horrible experience with Design Furnishings. When we finally received our order (it took forever) there were cushion that were missing. It has been almost 12 months and we still don't have those missing cushions. Within 2 weeks of receiving the order, our red cushions were fading badly. They now look ten years old. The quality is subpar at best. When they finally responded to our missing cushion request, we reminded them about the fading. They wouldn't do anything about it. They were going to send us the new missing cushions that wouldn't match the old faded cushions. Their comment was that now the cushions were one year old...yes, but that is how long it took to chase them down. Be careful, that so-called lifetime guarantee doesn't cover fading, even after two days. At least that is what the last rep said to us.Trying to get ahold of this company is a joke. They tell you that they will call you back but that never happens. Then they stop taking your calls because they have caller ID. When we called from another line, they answered right away. Seriously? It isn't as if we didn't spend enough money with this company. We bought two outdoor huge sectionals. You would think that would be worthy of a return phone call.If I were you, I would buy from someone else."
"I found this company on Craigslist and read the reviews and I was more than hesitant. Instead of placing my order online I called to make sure what we wanted was in stock. The color we wanted wasn't but they offered to send us a different color and then follow up with the cushion colors we wanted "Taupe". Taupe was on back order but we actually recieved those cushion covers two days before the couches came. The couches were exactly as advertised and very comfortable. I'm completely happy with our purchase and Tonia in customer care was great and followed up with me several times. Great prices and great furniture. With some of the other complaints I would suggest calling Tonia to make sure they have what you want in stock, my best guess is it's not the company that has problems it's the website that's not up to date with what they have in stock."
"Very unhappy and would never buy from them again. Ordered 2 barstools that on website said shipping 2-3 days. This order was Nov. 19th. I just received shipment on Friday 16 December. Received numerous emails saying shipping Dec 9th then Dec 16th then got an email saying shipment came in to them severly damaged on 9th Dec and were reordering then 2 days later get notice item being shipped. Guess what I get the severly damaged box. Note from company said "do not sign for receipt of shipment until you have inspected all boxes for damages. If there are damages to the boxes you must note on the the delivery slip in order to file a claim with Design Furnishings. Once noted the damages to bexes please sign for delivery. Any damages to boxes not noted at time of delivery will not be eligible for compensation/" Well, signaure was not required for delivery so of course they left at my door while I was at work. Never Never buy from them again...."
"I had a lot of trouble with an online store. Www.designfurnishings.com solved what the other store did wrong, i think they are great! NOW i BOUGHT THE PATIO FURNITURE AND AM A WALKING COMMERCIAL FOR THEM Thanks a lot!!!!"
"Design Furnishings has a great site and a large selection of products.Fast processing from sale, to shipping, for large items. Customer service was very responsive and helpful. All items were delivered in mint condition and on time.I will order from this store again."
