i accidently ordered twice because their website gave me errors which led to pages full of ads so i thought none of the orders went through. well later on i check my email and it says both orders went through. great! so i can just cancel one order and still get what i need, right?  
 
well they take some time to give me an automated response telling me how to check the status of my orders, which i've already done. about 12 hours later when i was already in bed i got another email saying they couldn't cancel either order for the same item because they have been processed and ready to be shipped.  
 
i only ordered a dvd and a book, and the book was backordered. they cant even cancel the books because the dvds were being shipped. when i checked the order status it didnt even ship yet! best part of the email is when i saw "We appreciate your business."  
 
i've been shopping with them for a while but i'll stick to amazon from now on.

I placed an order for 4 fragrances on the 1st of February. I specified a shipping address other than my billing that was a place of business. I know inputted the full address with business name because it stated it on the confirmation screen. I chose the Standard Delivery which (supposedly) takes 5 to 10 business days for delivery. I received two email confirmations as they broke the order up into two shipments and Estimated Arrival dates of 2/14/09 - 2/19/09 and 2/13/09 - 2/18/09. On 2/17 I contacted them to let them know that I did not receive anything yet. It was then that I realized that the shipping address in the confirmation email did not have the company name. So somewhere in their fulfillment process the address was transcribed, typed, or entered incorrectly. I logged into their site and of course the address was correct there. So I receive an email from customer service stating "Packages shipped via USPS Media Mail may take up to 15 business days to arrive and do not carry a tracking number. If you do not receive your package by 02/24, please reply to this e-mail we can reship the lost item to the below address." Funny how things are now the 24th instead of the 18th or 19th. So I wait till the 24th but I already know the package is lost because it's a 48 story office building and the 4th Floor alone has 10 companies. On the 24th I email them the obvious and they state "Thank you for the address confirmation. We are in the process of reshipping the following items under order # 22640124:". Of course they only mention three of the four items. Also the new order number that gave me for this shipment was not in their system (as far as I could see) as of the 25th. Amazon can take a long time sometimes but not four weeks. I would avoid ordering from these people as it doesn't seem that their fulfillment process isn't accurate at all and they don't seem to card whether or not you get your merchandise or not. And why wouldn't you reship the items expedited and or traceable. They screwed up I entered my address correctly so they are to blame. Never again.  
 
**Update** they have sent an email with an Estimated Arrival date: 3/07/09 - 3/12/09 so I will "hopefully" receive my items more than a month after I ordered them. They also canceled an item that was shipped separately before (because it came back return to sender because they screwed up the address). DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE.

Needed a present for my girl so placed an order for Horse Life DS game. It was "In Stock". Got a confirmation email stating it's "In Stock". Waited a few days for the shipment notification and then checked the account. Oops, now the status was "Back ordered". Curiously, the product webpage still showed it in stock. Called and was told that the item is back-ordered. When I said that I have an email from them stating it's in stock, the response indirectly suggested that I am a liar. Wow!  
My advice is to buy somewhere else rather than trying to save a buck or two.

Deep Discount DVD is a fantastic seller. I have never been less than satisfied buying from them. They put out discounts pretty regularly (hence the name) and I've had nothing but good experience with their shipping.  
 
Most recently I bought Band of Brothers miniseries on BluRay for $40. A steal! Shipped fast and reliably, as with my past orders.

What a horrible time I had ordering a blu-ray from this company. I ordered the WALL-E blu-ray on their site on Nov 18, and emmediatly realized I had ordered the wrong one (because their site has the completely WRONG information on it). I called them up within 5 minutes of placing the order to cancel so I can order the right one, and was told that they couldn't cancel it because IT HAD ALREADY SHIPPED! Obviously this was a lie since I had just ordered it 5 minutes prior, and I received an email 2 days later saying that it had shipped that day.  
- Incorrect info on website  
- Horrible customer service  
- Horrible ship times ( I won't get the blu-ray until December - thats 2 weeks for shipping)  
 
I'll stick with Amazon for now on to purchase my movies, I guess I had to learn the hard way.  
Deepdiscount, if you read these, you should be ashamed of yourselves for treating your customers like dirt.

Slow but reliable. Placed order for dvds on Oct 21 at Deepdiscount and Amazon. Both were free shipping (chose the slower super saver shipping at Amazon). Received package from Amazon on 10/27 and DD package on 11/3. I wasn't in a hurry so no big deal and I saved $5 using DD for this particular movie collection. Packaging slightly better at DD too. I would use them again if time was not a factor.

- 11/12/2007 Ordered a DVD box set at a very good price during a special promotion. Item was shown as out of stock.  
- 11/28/2007 Emailed support requesting to cancel order as expected ship date was pushed back every day. Received response next day saying order could not be cancelled as it had already shipped, even though the item still showed up as out of stock on the website. Two days later I actually received an email saying it had shipped.  
- 12/25/2007 Had not received order, emailed support asking if they knew why I had not received it yet. Received response asking to wait 15 days from ship date before inquiring about orders, even though I had waited 26 days.  
- 01/01/2008 Emailed again informing that I had not received item. Was billed again for item and then later credited.  
- 01/03/2008 Was told item was re-shipped.  
- 01/24/2008 Emailed customer support to ask why I had not received the item yet again, received no response.  
- 02/16/2008 Emailed support yet again to inquire about item, again received no response. At this point, I have accepted that I have been screwed out of ~$60.

I will never order from DeepDiscount.com and have told everyone in my circle of family/friends to stay away, as they have horrible customer support and are blatant thieves.

Last purchased on 11/16/2007. I've been buying from Deepdiscountdvd.com for a long time now and I've found that when combined with a 20% off coupon, their prices are hard to beat. Free shipping is great too. Never had a problem with them and customer service has always been great. Shipping isn't the fastest in the world, but hey, what do you expect for free shipping. I always got my order within 4-8 business days. Will continue to buy from again.

I've been a customer of Deep Discount DVD for years now. Sure, things have gone wrong in the past (damaged discs, packaging, etc) but DDD always either refunds or replaces the products with no questions asked. Most recently I ordered a DVD box set that was damaged somehow during shipping. I sent it back and received my new replacement today.  
 
Given the amount of DVDs I've purchased from them, I'd have to say that 95% of the time I have zero issues. As long as they keep it up, I'll be a long-standing customer with them.

Ordered 01/06/08, received 01/12/08. Packaged well and was exactly what I'd ordered. I DIDN'T check this site before ordering- as I'd used them in the past. They're a no-frills DVD seller. I've never had trouble with them in the past 3-4 orders I've used them for.

11/18 and 11/23 - Placed multiple orders with multiple DVD sets on a BOGO offer  
11/30 - Orders shipped  
12/08 - Order Received, 3 DVD sets with floaters - Western Collection, Paul Newman Collection (broken disc case AND floater), Alfred Hitchcock Masterpiece collection  
12/09 - Returned for replacement (not refund)  
12/20 - Return confirmed, replacement orders placed (not processed), email received saying 3 orders will ship shortly  
12/21 - received email saying 1 out of above 3 orders has shipped  
12/29 - received order shipped on 12/21 -The Western Collection - no damage on this set  
01/04 - emailed in the AM asking why other 2 orders have not shipped  
01/04 - three generic emails received in the PM as reply for all three emails - saying they have processed refund as items are not in stock despite items showing in stock on website. says refund posted 12/20, nothing shows on CC until today which is 01/09  
01/05 - called in the AM. 40 minutes (yes, 40 mins) later, lady picks up. I ask why items had not shipped. I am told none of items were in stock and they had just received them in stock (yeah, right, just after I call) and that orders will be shipped on 01/07 (I did not mention receiving refund email)  
01/08 - called in the AM (20 min hold) asking why I didn't receive shipping confirmation on 01/07. Was told order would ship that day which is 01/08  
 
01/09/08 (today):  
1. called in the afternoon asking why items did not ship on 01/08 as mentioned, guy says he does not know.  
 
2. got an answer saying one of my items -Paul Newman Collection - was Free anyway (BOGO) and that they cannot reship item because I had not 'paid' for this item - Yes, this is the answer I got  
 
3. I was livid but guy was cool and worked with me. Then he says this item is not in stock. I tell him website shows it in stock. After 15 minutes, he offered to place another order for this item at no cost  
 
4. Then I ask him about why the second order - Alfred Hitchcock Set - had not shipped. He looks up this order and says, you know what, both items (this and the other for which he had just placed a no cost order) showed as Shipped on 01/07 under the status for this order  
 
5. I asked why I did not receive a shipping confirmation. He says he does not know.  
 
6. Then he says, I was charged for the free item on the BOGO order. I asked why. He says the lady that processed the order did not think a zero amount order would be shipped and so charged me $20.97 for it - Yes this is the answer I got.  
 
7. I said, 'what the hell are you guys doing ? do you know how to run a business ? how can you charge me for an item without my knowledge or an order ? Do you know that is illegal' - guy apologizes and refunds $20.97  
 
8. I ask whats the status on the shipped order. He says there is no tracking number  
 
9. I ask to confirm the order number of this shipment - he gives me an order number which does not even show up under my account on their website. I ask why and he says he does not know.  
 
10. I said 'I need a shipment confirmation email, otherwise it is your word against mine' - he puts me on hold, comes back a few minutes later and says I will receive shipping email today. so far, no email has been received.  
 
Number of agonizing minutes spent on the call: appr 40  
Number of days since original Order placed: 46  
Status: 'Paul Newman Collection' and 'Alfred Hitchcock Masterpiece Collection' still yet to be completely fulfilled. No shipping confirmation received yet on order supposedly shipped.  
Order Number: completely different from the ones referred to in original reprocess confirmation email. Cannot look this up on website.  
Status of so called Refund they claimed they had processed: Nothing until today  
 
If you guys are feeling gung ho about this 'once stellar-now gone-to-the-dogs' company and still want to place orders, please be my guest.  
 
Am done with this turd of a joint. Amazon it is - low prices or high prices, their service just can't be beat. At least lets encourage an outfit that cares about its customers.
