"I have been shopping with DeepDiscount for ~4 years now, initially with good results. But they seem to be getting progresively worse and I'll think twice about placing another order with them. The discounts are not that deep anymore unless there is a BOGO sale going on, and they takes forever to ship the items. I placed an order on 09/05 for 10 blu-rays that were each marked "in-stock", but 6 weeks later, I have yet to receive 7 of them, which I'm told went on backorder after I ordered. They definately need a better inventory tracking system.
Edit: 11/19/2010, two and a half months later: I had to cancel 6 items because they're still on backorder. I'm unable to cancel the remaining item because part of that order has been shipped and they've charged me for the full order, and it was a Buy One Get One free sale. Their CS is beyond worthless and refuse to help. I will dispute the charge with my CC and contact BBB to get my money back if they cannot provide the item I paid for and refuse to issue a refund.
Edit 12/04 - Remaining item received today, 3 months after ordering. Poorly packed, blu-ray case has slight damage. I woudn't even dream about working with these guys for a replacement. Lesson learned - never ever shop here no matter how good the prices are (and usually the prices aren't that good nowadays to begin with)"

"Placed order on 12/16/03. In stock items did not ship until 12/23 via 2-5 day UPS. Repeated phone calls to the site were met with constant busy signals. Finally just got through this morning and got a UPS tracking number. It is scheduled for delivery on 1/2/04. 17 days for delivery of in stock items is not what I consider acceptable. The prices are good, but not great, and I will probably not order from them again. It's not worth it to me for the aggravation of waiting versus a couple of bucks."
"I will never buy from this store again. Their website said that they have the item in stock. As soon as I place the order I got an e-mail saying the item was OUT OF STOCK and it will take 2-3 weeks. I've cancel my order already, I don't know how that will go. If they lie on their web site, who knows what service you can expect!! 3 Weeks later I got the CD, everything was fine...but they ignored my request of cancelling the order...it took a total of 4 weeks to get a CD that for 25 cents more I could have bought somewhere else in a week... so I guess they are cheap...just be ready to wait if you buy from them."

"I have purchased from DeepDiscountDVD several times, but I never will again. They used to be a great company to deal with; their prices are lower than nearly every other DVD reseller on the web, and standard shipping packages would arrive in just a few days.
However, my last three orders have been nitemares. One order was "lost in the mail" (I don't think they ever sent it). They were nice enough to send another copy to me, but it didn't arrive until nearly a month after my order date and after the hassle of several e-mails. Another order was shipped to the wrong address. I ended up cancelling the order out of frustration.
The last one was the worst. I placed my order, ensured that the correct address was entered and they still had the wrong address when I received my invoice. I sent them an e-mail explaining their error & they sent me back a message saying that it had been corrected and the order would be shipped to the correct address.
I waited three weeks. No DVD. I contacted DeepDiscount and they said that orders could take anywhere from 15-20 business days to arrive. Far longer than any other time I'd ordered from them, but fine.
Over a month goes by. I contact customer support again. Apparently the DVD had been returned back to them BEFORE MY INITIAL CORRESPONDENCE as "undeliverable". Funny, I get dozens of packages delivered each other from USPS, FedEx, UPS, etc. and have never had this issue. My guess is they sent it to the wrong address they had on file despite my making them aware of the error twice.
Never again; I'll spend the few extra bucks & order from Amazon from now on. "
"Seller canceled my order because they had a coupon malfunction. Seems their site programmers are idiots. Price was not too good to be true as KMart currently has same deal only I have to pay tax. Shopped their before and had iffy exp. But this time I am done with them. They need to hire people that know how to do their job rather than waste people's time and put holds on funds on people's credit cards."
"Be forewarned that one cannot cancel, change, or delete an order once placed, even when attempted immediately after placement. A misleading (to me) coupon received led me to believe that I would get 40% off $151.89 DVD set. Amazon's sells for $25 less but I considered DD's 40% off a better deal. Well, I thought I was clicking to a review page but found that I had erroneously ordered @ $151.89. I attempted to cancel the order on site immediately; on my acct. site I sent email to cancel, and I phoned cust. serv. as soon as they opened for business same morning. However, I was put on hold repeatedly for up to half an hour at a time. The next day early cs ans. finally after 15-20 min. on hold and I was told, "Sorry, too late. We don't cancel after an order is placed. Deep Discount dosen't allow cancellations on site even when attempted immediately after placement, or by phone either." Three days later I'm notified it's being shipped! I will refuse the pckg unopened & return to sender upon arrival and dispute any charges to my credit card. I've been happy with Deep Discount in the past but will never respond to another coupon with a promise of any large % off, and I'm now wary of this seller."
"I ordered 3 DVD's from them on December 4th thinking that it would be plenty of time even if their shipping is super slow... but holy cow... One of the DVD's I ordered, which the website said it was instock, appeard to be on back order when they sent the conformation order. 6 days later!! I finally get an email stating that the items have been shipped and will arrive in 5 to 10 with an Estimated Arrival date: 12/19/03 - 12/24/03. 20 DAYS AFTER I ORDER THE DVD's THAT WERE SUPPOSED TO BE INSTOCK! I like the prices and the site is decent, the communication needs to be better, and the shipping and handling department needs a major overhaul!!! Thats just unexceptable... i didnt order a custom Ferrari, I ordered some darn DVD's!"
"I've ordered a lot from these people - and yeah, the shipping is slower than snot. I have found that ordering from Buy.Com is much faster and they are very competitive against this company. I wanted to order the Dilbert DVD and I emailed Deep Discount DVD twice to see if they would price match Buy.com (because their site says they will) and my emails remained unanswered to date from a month ago. So I ordered from Buy.com as it was $4 cheaper and had free (faster) shipping also. So look around and compare before ordering!! "
"I have ordered more than 100 movies and CDs from deepdiscount. The last item I received was a gift from a friend for xmas. The DVD wouldn't play so we requested a return mailing label. First I was told no I couldn't return it because it was over 90 days, purchased in Oct and returned after xmas. On the phone I was told, of course I could return defected merchandise. I received the mailing label and returned the item. No replacement came. After numerous phone calls I finally got a staff person that took all my info to reship a replacement. I still have not received. I will never buy from them again. Buyer Beware!"
