"$543.89 charged for goods and sevices never received

I originally found this seller, oneclickdigital.com, through pricescan.com, a price comparison site.
I placed an online order on 2/21/06 for one Sony DSC M2 for $369.00 U.S.D. plus $14.90 s&h. When I had not received any order confirmation the next day I called their 1-800 customer service #.
The sales rep then explained to me an extended service plan for 5 years
that included "accidental damage, theft and loss with no deductiable" for an additional $149.99. I specifically asked who the plan was from and he said "direct from sony". When I doublechecked on this plan on their site after hanging up it was not described as he stated. I also checked the sony site and that plan does not exist. I called back immediately to double check to see if there was any misunderstanding and he very rudely told me it WAS as he had explained and what a good deal I was getting and hung up. I called back first thing the next morning (2/23) and stated that I wanted to cancel the order completely and was told I could not because it had already been shipped .
Since then I have emailed customer service several times and called back repeatedly as well as checking the shipping status at their site. There was no tracking number and I have only rec'd one email response saying the tracking info would update by sunday 2/26 (I was originally told it would update in 24 hours on 2/23when I tried to cancel)
Each time I call I get the same person, once I asked for a customer service manager & was told to call back in one hour when I called back the very same person told me that they were the owner of the company and repeated the exact same line about the great deal I was getting before hanging up.
There have been other customer complaints posted about this same company on the pricerunner site since my purchase date stating similar incidents. There were also claims that this same company is operating under 4-5 other names. I went to the site of one of these other names listed, a Circuit Digital and I called their 1-800 sales number. When the sales rep answered all they said was “Can I help you?” without stating any company name. I then asked if I had reached oneclickdigital and was told yes I had. Then I asked the rep. if it was also Circuit Digital and was immediately told to please hold. I was on hold for ten minutes before I hung up and called back. I inquired again which company I had reached and was transferred. The next person tried to tell me that they had never heard of Circuit Digital even thought that was the # I had called, not the one on my invoice from oneclickdigital.com. They also have the EXACT same customer service email address. I can go to any of these sites and log on to the "my account" page wuth the email address and password I created at oneclickdigital and all of my info and the exact same order # come up.

Only after I emailed their customer service and stated that I would be reporting them for fraud did I get any response. I then explained that since the plan they sold me was bogus , I wanted the $149.99 charge for it removed and was told that I would have to wait until the package arrived because the plan was “in the box” and they don’t have the invoice # needed to refund. Then after several minutes of arguing they gave me a tracking number from U.S.P.S. ( I was told it would be shipped FedEx Priority when I paid) When I went to the U.S.P.S. website the number came up as invalid on the track and confirm search.

"Do not order from these people. I buy on the internet quite a bit, and this has been the worst experience I have ever had. I bought a 30-inch high definition television set, which arrived with severe damage to the tube. I called dealznet.com and was told someone would contact me within 3 days. When I hadn't heard from them a week later, I called back and was told that the person handling my "claim" would e-mail that day. It never happened. I called back the next day and asked to speak with "Michelle" (supposedly the person handling my claim) and was told she was not in, but would contact me the following day. It never happened. It is now nearly two weeks after I go the damaged television set, and I have yet to receive a single e-mail or telephone call. Worse still, I went on the New York Secretary of State cite, and couldn't find any registration for a corporation or LLC called Dealznet or Dealznet.com. I'm hoping to find the name of the company so I can sue them under their proper name. If anyone knows the legal name of this miserable entity, please let me know. In the meantime don't do business with "Let's Go Digital" or "Dealznet" unless you want to deal with the kind of nonresponsive crap that I and others have endured."

"This store refuses to provide any information on when my order will ship and will not issue a refund for my purchases. Do not engage in business with this store - review the BBB site first."

"Do not buy from this place. The customer service is no doubt the worst on the entire planet. They are rude and have zero business-savvy. I wish I never bothtered with them. Waste of time and money."

"This merchant deserves a 9.0 on price, it is hard to beat them. However, they deserve a 0 in "Likelihood of Future Purchases", "Shipping and Packaging", "Technical Support", and "Return or Replacement". A good price is not a good deal when you never recieve your item and customer service is non existant. Read on to hear why.

Please note this item says, "Ships within 1-3 Business Days." It should be noted the word "should" does not appear as this companies customer service department will lead you to believe. You can review this verbiage on their own web site here: http://shop.store.yahoo.com/letsgodigital/mdrnc20.html

The order was placed on 12/17 and the item was shipped on 12/29. Customer Service says back order was the cause for delay. Please review the following policy from the merchants own policies web site:
"In the event of delays, every effort will be made to contact you by phone, e-mail. If the delay is due to backorder, you will receive notice and be given the choice to remain on backorder, substitute to another item, or cancel your order."

The merchant made no effort to contact me and never gave me the option to cancel the order per their policy. If this option were to have been made available, I would have done so.

I have refused the package when UPS attempted to deliver the package, as I was unable to come to satisfactory agreement with the merchant regarding resolution to the issue. I feel I gave the merchant plenty of time to resolve the issue with me, I contacted them countless times with each correspondence ending in an agreement that the merchant would research the issue and contact me, however they never once contacted me. As the merchant has violated their agreements outlined on the item's web page and their policy page, I request a complete refund of the purchase price and shipping for a total of $152.58. However, the merchant will only agree to a refund of $85 after their penelty of nearly 60% for canceling the order.

Order was placed 12/17 after a phone call to
confirm item would arrive before Christmas. I
paid over $50 for 3 day select to ensure before
Christmas delivery. Item had not arrived on
12/22, so a call was placed to customer service.
Customer service informed me the item was
shipped, but they could not locate an UPS
tracking number and would call me back with the
tracking number, they assured me the item would
arrive before Christmas. They never called back
with the tracking number, so I called back again
on 12/23, again they assured me the item was
shipped, and I would have it before Christmas but
they still could not locate a tracking number and
they said they would call me back that day with
the tracking number. I never received a call
back from them, I again tried to contact them on
12/24 but could not get in touch with them. I
sent them a fax and email on 12/26 because they
were not answering the phone or returning voice
mails. I never got a call back concerning my fax
and my concerns were not addressed. Several more
voice mails were left on 12/27 and 12/28 which
were not answered. I left the address I gave
them to ship to on 12/29 and will never return to
it, thus if they ever do ship the item, I will
not be there to receive it. I was able to
contact the merchant by phone on 12/30. During
this phone call, they told me the item was
shipped on 12/29, which is a completely different
story from the first calls when they told me the
item was shipped on 12/18. After being told
this, I informed the customer service
representative that I would not be at the
shipping address and would have to have someone
ship it to my home. I gave the representative
two choices that would satisfy me, 1) to refund
the total purchase price including shipping and I
would decline the item when it arrived and 2)
refund me the full shipping price as I paid extra
for by Christmas delivery and that was not
delivered ... now I need to pay shipping again to
have someone ship it to my home from my temporary
address that they were to deliver to which I
would have been at if they delivered on time.
The customer service representative told me he
would escalate the problem and get back to me
within 24 hours, however I never heard back from
him. I have made further telephone contact
attempts on 12/31 and 1/1, however was not able
to reach anyone at this company."

"I purchased a Sony camcorder on 11/24/06 without any additional accessories. Prior to purchase, I called the company on availability of the camcorder, and they had indicated that they were out of stock and that they would get the item the following week. That was okay with me, and hence, I put in the order. On 12/1 (exactly a week later), they sent me an email indicating that I needed to call in. My spouse then called the company. After several dropped calls and 15 minute holds, she was able to get through. The rep proceeded to try and upgrade us either to another high-end camcorder, or with one of their accessory packages for this camcorder. If we simply wanted the camcorder, it appeared that we would have to wait indefinitely. We decided to cancel the order, and informed the credit card company about the issue.
IMO, I consider this deceptive advertising. If Dealznet cannot ship the standalone unit in a "reasonable" time (which I consider one week from order in most cases), they should not be advertising the product with a standalone price. Moreover, by waiting a week to inform the customer (via the email notification), they are effectively playing on the customer's emotional attachment to getting the product quickly (because now your wait time on the product is even longer than a week), which allows them a better chance to upgrade you out of your desperation. They could have tried pulling this off immediately, but the effect would not have been the same.
My recommendation would be to stay away from this e-tailer. Their prices may be good when advertised, but it means nothing if you have to wait indefinitely for them to honor that price and order."

"I ordered a Sharp LCD Tv which showed in stock on their website, I selected 3 day air shipment at additional cost. The day before the unit was to arrive I received a call that the item was discontinued. They would replace it with a newer more expensive model at the same price. I agreed to this if they could deliver the follwing week on a specified date. They agreed. The item did not Ship until several weeks later. I called the customer service dept several times and they told me the unit had already shipped so I could not cancel the order. They could not give me shipping information. I have emailed them twice with a complaint and received no response."

"Good price but the web site explicitly says that Manufacturer's Warranty is included with the item, however when I called to order the item I was told that I must purchase the Extended Warranty ($200) because there is no Manufacturer's Warranty. I paid the aditional $200 after strong pressure from the sales person but unfortunately I did not receive the Extended Warranty certificate with my order. Rip off?"

"By far, the worst internet ordering experience of my life. They shipped me the wrong product. When I talked to them about this on the phone, they acknowledged the mistake, but said they would not ship me the correct product until they received the incorrect one back from me. They refused to issue a UPS call tag to pick it up, saying I am responsible for arranging and paying for the return shipping, even when they send the wrong item!"
