"Order placed online on 07/05/09. My credit card was processed for the entire amount. After not receiving any shipment confirmation email, I contacted the company. I received a reply to my email stating the order would be shipped by the end of the week. This went on for 4 weeks. I never received any emails from DCCA, only untimely replies to my emails. Each one with the same update, the order would be shipped by the end of the week. I finally spoke with "Nader." He said he was within management. He assured me the order would be be shipped by the end of the week. That never happened. Finally on 08/12/09 I cancelled the order. I got tired of waiting for their false promises. In the confirmation email I received from DCCA, it stated the refund would be processed within 7-14 days. It's over 14 days, and I've received no refund. I emailed DCCA on 08/26/09 to get the date they processed the refund. They avoided giving me a date. All they wrote was it was completed. Their customer service is terrible, and their communcation with customers is worse. They deserve to not be in business. Don't buy from them. If you've torn your car apart and are waiting on their shipment, you're going to be upset. Don't make the mistake I did!
09/23/09 - I'VE BEEN REQUESTED BY DEALER COST CAR AUDIO TO UPDATE THIS REVIEW. AFTER FILING A BBB COMPLAINT, DCCA RESPONDED TO THE BBB THAT THE REFUND HAD BEEN PROCESSED. I RESPONDED TO BBB STATING THAT AS OF THE DATE OF THIS WRITING (09/02/09) NO CREDIT HAD BEEN APPLIED TO MY CARD. DCCA RESPONDED WITH A STATEMENT THEY CONTACTED MY BANK AND CONFIRMED A CREDIT HAD BEEN APPLIED. I FIND IT HARD TO BELIEVE THEY CONTACTED MY BANK. I DID FINALLY RECEIVE A CREDIT ON MY CHARGE CARD ON 09/03/09.
IN ALL THE EMAILS, THEY DISPLAYED NO SENSE OF GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. IN READING THE OTHER COMPLAINTS FOR THIS WEB SITE, I READ THE SAME STORY OVER AND OVER. THEY HAVE PRODUCTS AVAILABLE FOR SALE ON THEIR WEB SITE, THEY DO NOT HAVE THEM IN STOCK, THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY, AND THEN MAKE PROMISES OF DELIVERY THEY CANNOT KEEP. BEFORE WRITING THIS COMMENT, I CONFIRMED THAT THE PRODUCT I ORDERED IS STILL LISTED ON THEIR WEB SITE. I DOUBT THEY HAVE IT IN STOCK.
IN CLOSING, STAY AWAY FROM DEALER COST CAR AUDIO!!"

"Please do not do business with these scum bags! I ordered a sub and an amp from them for $410 on 8/10 then just like all of the other reviews that I have now read I went round and round trying to get my order shipped and finally cancelled it on 8/26. Its now 9/13 and I still have not received my refund. When I talk to Dealer cost car audio (by email because its way to hard to try and get them on the phone) they say they have sent the refund back to me. I have not received anything from them other than a hard time. Now i have had to file a dispute with my credit card company. So who knows how long it will take to get my money back if i get it back. Dealer cost car audio has great prices but I guess you can sell cheap when you don't really send anything to the customer!"

"I wish I would have read the reviews here before ordering from these people. I ordered 2 JL rca cables a month ago. My CC was charged within min of course. After nothing for the first 2 weeks. They said they had a slight delay on the JL wires. Well after waiting 2 more weeks I finally sent a email saying to cancel my order. But what do you know. They magically got the item that day and shipped it out instead of cancelling my order. I have a tracking # and it will be next week b4 my wires arrive. Didnt help since I needed the wires 2 weeks ago for a competition. If you can wait a month if not possibly more. Than go ahead and use these people. But if I were you. I'd order from somewhere else. I already ordered the same exact wires from another company and got my stuff within a week and half. I'll NEVER use these people again. Thank god I didnt order anything expensive after reading these reviews."

"Buyer beware!

If all the items you purchase are in stock, then you might not have any problems.....BUT!!!!! If anything you purchase isn't in stock....GOOD LUCK!

I was told multiple times that everything was instock....they weren't.

I was told multiple times that everything that I ordered had been shipped....eventhough 3 items were on back order!

Was lied to MANY times.....either because they are liers.....or because they just didn't care enough to actually check on anything before they responded.

They boast about responding to all questions withing a few hours....this is true....but if the response is total BullSh@!% Whats the point?

After approximately 1.5 months of waiting for the remainder of my order....the guy upgraded a sound dampening kit that I ordered(only because he still didn't have what I wanted in stock) TOO LITTLE TOO LATE!

I will never even consider doing business with these folks again!"

"Worst possible expierence I have ever had with any business. Placed order on Aug 16. They talk a good game.After a month and a half asked for a refnd. they still haven't given my money back or sent my stuff.I really don't think they have any intention to. I have notified the California stste attorney generals office. Would not remotly consider recomending this company to anyone."

“We do strive to take care of all our customers 100%. We ship 95% of our orders within 24 hours. We are very sorry that your order was not shipped in that timely fashion you wished for, but please feel free to contact us directly if you want us to work out a discount on your order as a courtesy.”

"This company is terrible! I ordered on 9/17/2009, Still have nothing! I have countless emails full of excuses but no clue when I will recieve my product. They charged my credit card 450 dollars on 9/17 and now they wont refund me! Im gonna try to get some action I dont know what I have to do to be refunded."

"I recommend if you were ripoffed by this scam and bogus company, you should file a complaint on betterbusinessbureau.com, and call your credit card company and tell them your story and they will sure help you. This company will close in the next few days maybe, and they will run away with your money. So do not trust them when they say you will receive your money back in 7-14 days or you will receive your product in coming days. Don't wait and file a complaint on BBB.COM, and call your CC company right away. "

"I would strongly discourage anyone from buying anything from Dealer Cost Car Audio, I have been trying to purchase a DVD player from them since January 2, 2010. I originally ordered a unit and after three months of waiting was finally told they were back ordered, at that time I chose a different unit and paid the difference in price. Then the waiting began all over again! I waited another six weeks with no shipment only empty promises of shipment, and when I tried to cancel my order I was forced to do so through a series of complicated email routers etc. I finally had to call and demand a refund over the phone! Anyone's guess as to when or if I'll ever receive my refund. I wouldn't order from them ever again under any circumstance, ever!! The only thing there good at is running your credit card, and putting you off for months on end!"

"I have to admit, I feel almost embarrassed that I didn't do my homework before ordering some from Dealer Cost, because I have gotten the same run around as everyone else has seems to have gotten. I placed my order on May 19th. My money is taken immediately and I get the order conformation e-mail, so it seems okay there. Wrong! After waiting about 5 days and not receiving any info, I e-mailed them asking about my order, and then it all started. My order should ship "any day", and then when I inquired about it again, it was "delayed". Then a few days later, "waiting for more info", then after about a week, we started to talk about shipping another model that they did have in stock, and he only offered 1 model, that wasn't even comparable to the one I ordered, and I've been on this run around for 2 weeks. Even though the website says it will e-mail you back within 1 hour, I have only gotten 1 e-mail a day maximum. And the e-mails are borderline worthless anyway because, like another review stated, they seem as though they are from a 5 year old. I can type an entire paragraph asking numerous questions, and I get a short and simple sentence as the response. But this company seems to be a SCAM for real. I looked them up on the Better Business Borough, and they have a rating of F, with with many, many complaints filed against them. I'm currently in the process of trying to get a refund, and I will update it here if I ever get anything, but from what I've seen and read about this company, I will expect nothing but more run around. I will give them 7 days (as required by the BBB) and then I will start filing as many formal complaints as possible. I highly urge anyone interested in doing business with dealer cost car audio, I highly suggest otherwise! "

"I ordered 2 sets of speakers from this company on 10/9/09. After weeks of emails saying the item will ship shortly I finally told them I am going to cancel the order if I dont see my order in transit. I wish that I would have searched for reviews before I ordered from them. Now it looks like I will have to file with my CC company to get my money back. What a pain in the butt.

**UPDATE** Have not received a refund 10 days after I cancelled my order. Emailed today asking for an update.

Guess I will file with BBB and CC company tomorrow if I dont get my refund today."
