I bought a lot of stuffs at DX and, on every order, the products were not ready to ship and takes about 2 weeks to DX ship them.
Once I need to make a RMA on product - Dream DM-Box DM500S DVB-S - because it did not worked. About 2 months after, and none of them give a satisfactory response (order# 08298T7Z).
Finnaly, the products always arrives (off time).
I'm soon at my 30th order with DX. They have always delivered everything I ordered. Sometimes it ships really fast, and sometimes it takes a while. I'm a patient man so it dontbother me to wait some weeks for my stuff. I prefer to get it cheap before getting it tomorrow and paying double price.
Once I recieved a item that broke due to some electrical malfunction, the very first day I used it. I used the online RMA service and filled out a complaint. DX promptly provided me with a replacement at not cost.
My last order had a item missing. I used the online service form (CSE), and they fixed the error in less than 24 hours. The solution was to add the missing item to another order I'we been waiting for. Great by me.
I'm really, really satisfied with the service and the polite staff at DX.
DX - DealExtreme is a fantastic company to work with. The prices are at least 90% of their merchandise is WAY below other retailers. The only caveat is the merchandise takes 7-10 days to arrive because the products are shipped from overseas; which is no big deal.
DX has great customer service. I've never had an issue making a return, getting store credit, and in general getting a hold of a customer service agent.
Feel free to browse and order ONE ITEM to try them out. Where else can you get a disappearing ink pen with UV light to see what you write shipped to your door for around a buck? No where.

While that would normally keep me from coming back, DealExtreme has been excellent in replacing broken or missing items in both of the messed up orders (one was a case of packing the wrong item, the other was broken in shipping). For this reason, I continue to order from them. Their parts aren't of the highest quality, and their shipping is slow (though their shipping method is stated directly on their site, so you should already expect this; they give you the option to pay more for faster shipping). The value for the money can't be beat. Good job DX. They're not the best (don't expect outstanding products), but they're definitely very good.

Well, I have a store credit $8.37, i did a ticket for redeem the credit next day ordered the order 1008M36M (associated credit order:03038005),but at this time,there is no respond from Dealextreme about that, and the orders is in packaging process.
Im very disappointedthe about the time to be answered my request is slow/delay from the customer service.
The only form to contact them is by tickets links.. or live help (but is difficult from my country,im -4 time zone).

What's up with Dealextreme? They're acting like Focalprice use to. Because of bad reviews given to Focalprice, I thread carefully with them and only place small orders of less than $50 at a time - seems I'll have to adopt this policy with Dealextreme, too.
Missing items sku#29026 on 2 Sept 2009 order and I have no way to contact Dealextreme as I do not have the original packaging to photograph. I have never had problems with them but lately, it's becoming scary. In the past, customer services was fast and efficient. But now they cannot be contacted except through the ticketting system. All other contacts have been disabled on their website or rerouted to the ticketting system.
Placed order on 14 April 2009. Missing items correspondence went on for a while. Finally, on 17 August 2009 I was told a store credit would be given to me. I thanked the customer service staff by the name of Charlene for the credit but inquired on how to use the store credit. No reply. I also asked if she could send me some round magnets to the value of the credit, instead but since then have received other orders but no magnets and no replies.
I cannot enter further correspondence on the ticket as replies are closed but the matter has not been resolved. The status of the ticket says:
Staff assigned - waiting for processing.
There is no other manner to contact Dealextreme.
Customer services sucks.
I wanted to place a $170 order but am a bit reluctant so instead placed a $11 order only and placed another $20 order elsewhere.
Meanwhile, I need to buy quite a bit of items but nowhere to buy them from as both the outlets I buy from have poor customer relations.
I love shopping at Dealextreme and I hope they get back on track, again. But with the current lack of customer service, I am fearing the worst.
4 Nov 2009: A few days ago, Deal Extreme offered to fix all problems ie the short order and the missing items.
To sum up: About a year ago, I had my first product defect - it was fixed, immediately.
This year, two short deliveries but they've been sorted out but on the slow side. 3 problems in 2 years and I place orders, regularly.
I'll continue to shop at DX as I've had more good than bad at DX.

I bought a touch screen laptop gadget from dealextream.com. After it was deliverd cracked I sent it back. The screen cost me $51.00USD and the shipping was $25USD. I received confirmation that the screen was delivered to Hong Kong China on the 8th of October and still no refund. After repeatedly posting tickets on there support website Im getting no response and am feeling ignored. So in summary I'm out $76USD and nothing to show for it. NEVER NEVER NEVER again!

After receiving conformation from them that they received the package they are now telling me that they are shipping me a replacement that i didn't ask for nor wanted. Responses from DealExtreme.com are a consistent 5 day wait. Again NEVER NEVER NEVER again!

I have been ordering from DX for about half a year.
The have been no issues so far, except with my last order, in which they confused one of the flashlights with a quite different one and sent only 3 packs of 18650 Lithium Batteries instead of the needed 4 packs.
After filling in the complaint forms of theirs and providing the photos they require as a proof, they admitted their mistake. They promised to resend the missing item and the flashlight I ordered initially. They even didn’t require to send back the wrong flashlight, so I could keep it as a gift. That was really nice of them.
Now the status of that two items is “packaging” and I hope, that this time everything will go smoothly .
Other people may have other experience in dealing with DealExtreme, of course.
But in my case the DX staff solved the issue quite decently, I think.
Ordered some t-shirts over a month ago and received no shipping information. I checked their order status page weekly and it kept showing that they were locating vendors. I sent an e-mail out to them the 4th week to inquire about status. Got no response. Sent another a few days later. No response. Disputed transaction with PayPal, and a couple days later I got an e-mail from their customer service rep stating that they are working hard to locate the shirts and asked me to wait a couple more days. Received another e-mail next day to ask me to close the PayPal dispute as their system autocancels the order. I told them that I can't close the dispute as I have no guarantee that they will ship (PayPal doesn't allow re-opening of a claim). They told me to close or they will cancel order. Order status shows, "Paused due to PayPal Complaint". Told them that it's not my fault for their system to cancel the order and that I need to keep complaint open to protect myself. They told me to close it. I escalated the dispute to a claim instead. I expect a refund from PayPal.

The order was hold because some items in your order are sold out. And the refund has been processed to you as request and you should receive a notification email from paypal directly. DealExtreme provided terrible service and did not ship a product I ordered for over 17 days after I ordered it. I requested a refund at the 14 day mark and was not given a response until 3 days later, when a customer service apologized and said that a refund could not be processed because the ordered had already 'shipped'. I'm sure customer service was working so so hard on getting my order through - it's ridiculous to have a customer wait 14 days and then beat around the bush while buying time to put in an order that should have come weeks earlier.
Do not buy from DealExtreme, especially if you're a North American customer.

I ordered 2 SATA cables for my hard drives on October 2nd. According to their site, it should take about 7 days for them to ship the items (that is quite a long time in itself). As of October 21st, I still hadn't heard anything and my items were still being packed (they were in the packing state for about 15 days). I don't know what or why, but I wrote them and today they shipped the items. This is ridiculous. 20 days to ship an item - I could understand if it was out of stock or something, but a couple of cables should be shipped quickly. Now I have to wait another 7-10 business days to get my items. 30 days is not acceptable in this case to receive my items. Disappointed in this company. I don't think I should have to contact a company to have my item shipped in a reasonable amount of time. This should be a practice that they always do.

They told me item was out of stock and so it wasn't shipped on time. Every other company I have ordered from would send me an e-mail and let me know that. They did offer me 50% off my next purchase. Also, they are trying to say that my order is invalid and not print this review.
