"I, like many others, have become an unfortunate victim of DealExtreme's poor business practices. I ordered a plastic case for a hard drive (in stock) a few days after Christmas 2011, and still have yet to even receive a shipping notification (February 2nd, 2012). That didn't stop them from immediately collecting my payment after purchase though.

I ended up ordering the same product (for a little more money), from a famous online retailer. I received that item just 3 days after ordering it, and it has been in use for a couple of weeks now.

I tried to cancel my order with DealExtreme multiple times through live chat, e-mail, and phone, but was never contacted in any way.

Do yourself a favor and stay far far away from DealExtreme."

"I have ordered from them several times in the past without any issues. To my surprise the last two times I have ordered (Dec 2011 & Jan 2012) in both orders had items missing, not to mention the delay in shipping out the items. I contacted support five days ago with no reply. I have never had this problem with the, in the past. Don't know what going on with this company. Very disappointed."

"Please do not order anything from this company. They are thieves!! My son wanted some accessories for his airsoft gun and he found some great prices on Dealextreme.com. I ordered them without thinking to look at the scam list. As soon as I placed my order, the company sent me an email wanting copies of my Drivers License, Passport, Credit Card both front and back, and my credit card bill. I did not comply with their wishes. The items were charged to my credit card and it took me hours and hours to get them removed from my bill. The items I ordered never arrived. None of the customer service emails or chat or even phone numbers work. Please do not order anything from these thieves. You will be sorry you did, I promise you that!!"

"I ordered a flashlight from DealExtreme and paid in full at the time. They didn't ship, so I tried to cancel the order. But they told me it had "just been shipped" so my order could not be cancelled. Now, almost 2 months later, my money is gone and I have no merchandise. These people are totally dishonest. Save youself a hassle and DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM."

"I've ordered something from they website on Jan 10.
Payment was successful the same day.
17 days later (Jan 27) my order still not shipped out.

I've tried to communicate with they customer support - live chat doesn't work and my email was ignored.

Scam! Stay away! "

"Like many of the reviewers here, my experience is mixed.
The good. Cheap. Sometimes 20% of the cost you would pay in North America.

The not so good. "In Stock" means nothing. I have never had an order actually ship with all of the items I selected. I had to ask for a refund on missing items on all 5 of my orders. The refund process also takes some time. In North America you'd typically expect support to reply within 24-48 hrs. Deal Extreme can take well over a week to get back to you. I have noticed that things seem to be getting worse than when I started. My most recent order also had one thing shipped that was not the correct item. I ordered it in December and it is now late February and I still haven't got it all sorted out.

In the end, you get what you don't pay for. 80% off means you play roulette with quality, delivery and service.

PS: I have placed small orders with two other companies (Focal Price and Dino Direct) to see if they are any better. Right off the bat I see that Focal Price shows when items are actually in stock (ships in 24 hrs) vs at suppliers (usually ships withing 48 hrs). I'll let you know how it goes."

"You get what you pay for - some of it is very good. But the price is very reasonable for what you get. Just be realistic - don't expect brand-name quality at these prices. If your expectations are reasonable you'll be very pleased.

I've placed 3 or 4 orders with them - all for small stuff like flashlights and batteries. It all showed up as promised, with quality BETTER than I expected considering the price. Altho it takes a while (allow 3-4 weeks)."

"I have bought a set of backlight. But it was out of stock, so I contacted DX and they told me to submit another order to change it. I did it, but now I have placed a new order and I try to contact them and I get no response, live chat never works and my submitted ticket has no response too.

I never had problem before but now I am starting to get worried.

"In the past I have had no problems with delivery of orders, but my most recent orders (3 placed in early December 2011) were not shipped in a timely manner, in fact the first order arrived only 2 days ago, and that was a part shipment. Response times for incomplete orders and faulty or damaged items is also very poor. "
