"I purchased a item on sale, me and over 5 other guys, DataVision never sent us any confirmation(never got charged at first) and they never sent us our items after waiting we sent them emails and called, they said they didn't mean to put the item on sale and would NOT let us buy the item they then charged everyone, but me the price of the item, then a few days later they canceled, and changed the price from $52 to over $500! luckily they didn't charge us any more, 8 days later we got Fraudulent charges put on are Credit Cards and luckily our CC company's canceled them and we are getting new cards. I strongly advise you to NEVER use DataVision, They have horrible customer support and they will take your CC # and use it to buy other items. they are now charging $350 for the item."
"I purchased a Creative Zen Micro 5 Gb MP3 player from them and still haven't received it. I called to ask when I would receive it and they told me that it would ship on Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004, but I haven't received any email confirming the shipping or tracking # of the item yet. It makes me wonder if they even have it in stock, since there seems to be a lot of complaints about them saying they have items in stock when they really don't. I am dissatisfied with this company and will not order from them again."

"After a week, my initial order for a portable Toshiba DVD player never arrived. I called DataVision's customer service. The rep apologized for not contacting me to inform me of the item's backorder status. I explained I needed it in 3 days for our family vacation. He offered me a better model with a larger screen for the same price, plus shipped at 2nd day air at no additional charge. This was above and beyond my expectations. I will shop with DataVision again"
"I normally would not have taken the time to respond to this (I have a new baby, and time is precious!) BUT, I had such an EXCELLENT experience with Datavision, that if I hadn't received this survey, I would have contacted you anyway. There was an Email glitch with my order, and I hadn't had a shipping confirmation for about 10 days. When I called to inquire, I was notified that the camera I wanted was no longer available, but that you would upgrade me to a better version of the same camera, WITH NO ADDITIONAL COST TO ME. Then you said you'd rush it out (I didn't even have to request that), and it was at my front door THE NEXT MORNING. Excellent trouble-shooting and service. THANK "
"I ordered a Sony HX series monitor from DataVision on Feb. 1st, a Sunday, over the Internet.They had the best price I had seen, and I had been looking for 2 weeks. The item (black) showed as in stock. I received an e-mail notice of my order within several hours. I found this website the next day, and thought "Lord, what have I got myself into?" I couldn't believe all the bad reviews! Tues. afternoon I received another e-mail telling me it would be 3-5 days before the item would be in stock. I thought, "Here we go!" I rushed to copy all of the documentation I might need if they screwed with me. Wed. afternoon I called their customer service dept. and was told "Our computers are down, call back in 20 minutes". I thought "OK, it starts now". I called back 1 1/2 hours later and got through to a cust svc rep. I told him that I wanted to cancel my order and he asked for my order #, called it up and asked me why I wanted to cancel. I told him I didn't want to wait that long. He asked me if I would take the monitor in silver. I said OK, if it was the same price. He said yes, they could ship it out that afternoon. They actually didn't ship it until the next day, (Thurs), but I received it today (Monday). The monitor is awesome!! I went from a 17" flat-screen CRT to a 19" LCD with digital input. I have to move my head to see all of the screen! Anyway, I have to say that I am satisfied with the whole transaction. It would have been nice to receive it sooner, but I have had slower shiping at other places, and Sunday - Thursday isn"t too bad. Most other places with a good price were not in stock on this item, and I would have had to go on a waiting list. I don't know what would have happened if I had insisted on the black monitor and waited or canceled my order then and had them ship the monitor later anyway. That didn't happen, so all in all I am pleased with this company, and if I hadn't heard so many negative things about them I wouldn't have thought twice about how things went."
"THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED! I ordered an hp ipaq h1935 from Datavis well before the $50 rebate for the product expired on 1/31/04. The site said that the product was "in stock." Every time I checked on the order, the site would say "order in process." IT STILL SAID THIS TWO WEEKS LATER. I called customer service and she told me that the product was out of stock and, get this, they stopped selling the h1935 and were only selling the more expensive h1945 model. At no time did I receive any email informing me of this change. When I later spoke to the manager about how I missed out on the rebate, he seemed apathetic if not downright rude. NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER do business with rip-off company! Any person who would write a nice review about this company must be related its its managers. "
"On 11/16/2003 I placed an order for a Sony product wich was showing as in-stock. The order was electronically acknowledged by email. The following day I got an email advising a backorder situation with the product and an estimated 2 week delay. Several emails to them over two months went unanswered. Several phone calls to them got all kinds of delivery date promises and excuses, but no delivery. As of last week (1/25/2004) thay were "filling October 2003 backorders". Mine is November. (Get it?). Their site indicates low stock". The current price is $399. My order was confirmed at $299. While I can't prove it at the moment, I suspect they're selling all they can get at $399 and dragging their feet on the earlier orders hoping the customers will get tired of waiting and cancel. I won't go away, and I will persue this diligently through whatever channels it takes to get Datavis to honor this purchase."
"BUYER BEWARE! Datavision is a deceptive and shady New York outfit. I would examine all other places before ordering from them. They have some low prices on certain items, but I will never order from them again and I advise you to avoid them also.Their website listed an item in stock. I called to confirm this. Based on the confirmaition, I placed my order with "guaranteed 3 day shipping". The product finally arrived 13 days later. Why? because they didn't really have them in stock, they lied just to get the business. More importantly, after 5 days, I logged in to check the online status and it said "will ship in 2-3 weeks". I emailed them at firstname.lastname@example.org, per the instructions on my order confirmation, and asked to cancel the order (since they obviously didn't have any in stock). I made repeated attempts, but they ignored my requests and shipped it any way. When I returned the package unopened, they refused to refund the express shipping -- because that was their stated policy. This is their policy, but it obviously can't apply when they fail to live up to the terms of the purchase. They knew they were not going to refund the shipping, so the had no reason to cancel my order -- maybe I would keep the item. And if not, they wouldn't refund the shipping, so they were'nt out any money. SHADY operation. My further contacts with them to try and resolve the situation have only further confirmed that this is a shady outfit. I wouldn't even trust their reseller ratings, because they'd be just the kind of people that would artifically boost their ratings.Run, don't walk away from DataVis.com"
"Excellent! My girl friend bought me a last minute birthday gift (GPS for IPAQ). Datavison had the item in stock at a good price. They shipped the item so quickly that we had it the NEXT day. ie, she ordered Wednesday evening - we had it Thursday afternoon. Highly recommended!"

By the end of the day, I recieved my shipping tracking number. Overall, the service was quick with friendly customer service... not like my past online experiences who try to pursuade me to buy add ons....Shipping costs are reasonable. "Purchased an Ipod 10gb through my buddy who recommended Datavision. Purchased an extended warranty. Unit failed about 8 months later. Warranty service was great. Replacement shipped and received within 8 days. Replacement was defective. Called Datavsion,person handling defects was not in. Uh-oh I thought...here we go. He called back in 10 minutes. Yes....10 minutes! Gave me an RMA and was extremely helpful. Gotta love those NewYorkers. Will definitely be a repeat purchaser. Pricing is great, warranty service is top-notch, selection is fantastic. I definitely recommend the ext. warranty. No, I don't work for either company. A+ all-around."
