"DVCentury.com advertised 1 GB of DDR RAM for $78- I bought it- received a used 512mb module that did not even work right. I called and the owner "SAM" was very uncooperative. I will likely be taking him to court over this, and am now requesting a charge back from my credit card company. Fraudulent organization is not even BBB registered-I own a real computer store-with real bills, real problems and I don't have to rob people to make my living. This company needs to be shut down and that can only happen when people realize they are unscrupulous criminals that think they will never have to suffer any consequences for their shameful actions. "

"This part was ordered one month ago (based on misinformation from them), and returned on 8/17 (less a restocking fee). DVCentury has consistently lied about when they received the product back, and when I might expect my credit. TERRIBLE."

"I purchased an external enclosure for my hard drive because I broke my other one. I was charged $8 for shipping via Priority Mail, and the drive came in a USPS flat rate box which costs $7.40, so shipping fee's were accurate without gouging. I ordered Sunday and paid the extra dollar or two for their 'expedited service' to have my item shipped within 24hrs ( vs the suppsed 3 day processing? ). I ordered on the 9th, got confirmation it shipped on the 10th, and it arrived on the 15th (from california to hawaii). I am happy with the purchase. The price was one of the more reasonable ones, I gave them the money and they shipped me my item in a timely fashion. I can't complain about this transaction with them, I am very pleased with the speed of the service, I had zero problems."

" They found a new way to make money selling nothing:
You order, they say they shipped the item (but in fact they didn't), you receive an email saying that they received the package back because your address/phone number was invalid, they charge you for an imaginary shipping and restocking fee... No tracking or proof of shipping is provided.
Nice......."

"I need 100 modems for my systems. I like PC-tel modems as they have worked with any system I have ever worked with. I found this company on PriceWatch and it looked like the prices were pretty good.

Thankfully, I only ordered "one" modem from these guys. The modem I received was a Motorola that looked like it was used. The reason I say it looked used is that the contacts were scratched and the printing on the chip itself was almost rubbed off. This looks like a pretty good indication that my suspicions are correct, but they dispute this.

I have contacted these people numerous times and can say with regret that this is about the worst company I have ever dealt with. I was told that even though they had shipped the wrong item, since I "opened" the package, I would have to pay a restocking fee. This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard from a company. How was I supposed to know what I had if I didn't open the static bag? I was told that I could see what was in the bag without opening it. That's the way it went for several emails.

This company has just lost a potential very good customer who will go elsewhere.

Furthermore, as far as I am concerned, Pricewatch is a joke as it seems that ANY company can advertise there whether they are worth a crap or not.

Update: I got tired of trying to settle this thing by way of getting all my money back and told them that I was not wasting my time with them anymore.

Here is the email response I got from them:
"LIKE I’VE SAID, WHATEVER YOU WANT TO DO!!! SOTP REPLYING IF THIS IS A WASTE OF YOUR TIME LIKE YOU’VE INDICATED. BECAUSE NOW YOU ARE WASTING MY TIME!!!"

By the time I pay their ridiculous restocking fee (for their mistake) and the shipping charges back to them, it would not be worth the trouble.

I know that some people have had good experiences with this company, but I will be placing a notice on my website warning my associates to stay away from them. They are unprofessional and knowingly screw over their customers.

The last email I sent was an apology for my attitude in this matter. Even though they are 100% in the wrong about this, there is no reason for me to bring myself down to their level.

This is the response I received:
"No problem it’s cool, I just want you to understand that I am just a service personnel for the company and have to go by their policies. Therefore it’s really hard on us that customers like yourself go crazy on us even though I totally understand your part of the situation."

Apparently she DOESN"T understand my part of the situation or I would not have to pay for their mistake.

Just stay away from them. There are better places to shop. "

" Worse internet company I've dealt with yet. Stay away! Sold me memory that was diiferent than what was ordered & I think they never even had the correct memory but didn't want to lose the sale. Lazy greedy merchants. Waste of alot of time and bad customer service. Its worth paying alittle more to avoid this out of an apartment store scam. Its been 2 weeks and my credit card still hasn't been credited. Never shop again."

"I ordered some PC 133 RAM from this company on Jan. 21. On the 24th, I got an email saying that "one of your select item that we do not carry in our local warehouse. It must be shipped from another warehouse location, which will take 2-3 business days.." I agreed to this but as of March 7 still had no RAM. After calling the company, I discovered that the RAM was on backorder and they would not be ordering more for several months, which they just happened to leave out of their email."

"Worst sit I have ever done buss. with and will never do again told me out of stock and wanted me to buy some thing much more expspensive.I am still having problems getting my money back.Finaly I have gone to my Bank for help."
