"I ordered favor boxes for my son's Communion & still haven't recvd them.DHgate is located in China, so you must email them to contact them. They answer your emails saying they're working on it & apologize for the inconvenience, but what they're actually doing is giving you the run around. They supply a fake tracking#,and follow up with nothing but lies. The party is this weekend,so I had to purchase favor boxes elsewhere & cancel my credit card payment as well. I should've read the reviews on this company before placing my order. They are a HUGE scam!!!"

"DHgate would not reimburse me for a product that came ruined and it wasi misrepresented in their description I had to purchase the product through another company since DHgate did not offer an immediate way to solve the problem nor a refund. It was a time sensitive purchase. I will never do business with them again."
"this company is just a big huge scam i wish its was a way to knock them all right of of service the need to be reported and taken off the website... i placed my order in febuary 6 2013 they seller told me to apply for a refund but they wont respond the customer service is no help at they just keep telling me to get the seller to agree to a full refund and i will get my money back the dresses i order are not even on the website any more dhgate has released my payment to this seller now i had to go out and rush to find 2 more dress for my daughters for my wedding this company id the WORST and no one should order from them"
"Do not buy from this website!!! More specifically from merchant called "Fistlady" This merchant took my money and did not sent me the purchased item. I am very dissatisfied that theft is allowed on this site. I don't know how people like that can sleep at night. All I was trying to do is exchange a coat which was pretty expensive. I had sent the item back so it can be exchanged for a larger one, it has been months and I did not receive the purchase and the merchant is ignoring me completly. In my country that's called stealing."

"I have to cancel my order because this company have not responded to my inquiry about the status of my order. Be careful doing business with DHgate.Com It has been more than 30 days after I place the order but I have not receive any status as to when it will arrive. My visa card charge for this order has been reported to VISA."
"Buyer beware! DHgate is a portal that connects seller/suppliers in China with resellers/customers in U.S and Europe, and elsewhere. DHgate does not screen their sellers nor do they have an adequate program to mediate disputed orders. Most of the suppliers doing business through DHgate sell counterfeit merchandise. DHgate's website is set up to discourage dispute, and favors the suppliers in China in a dispute. If you do business through DHgate (and I don't recommend that) be careful to use a payment method that will allow you to "claw-back" your money. For example, paying with a credit card will allow you recource when the defective/counterfeit merchandise is delivered. Paying with Paypal will not provide that option. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUSTANCE provide bank account numbers or routing information (e.g. direct transfers of funds, etc.)
In today's China, all things are "loose and fast", meaning that Chinese business' will only deliver what they are forced to deliver, and if they can cut corners (i.e. rip you off) they will.
I know this sounds harsh, but that is the culture in China today. Just have a look at the news, China is the counterfeit capital of the world. It is easy to find ample cases on-line that conclusively demonstrate that China (both government and private sector) have complete disregard for copyright laws, intellectual property, and royalties.
If you conduct un-guarded business with suppliers in China, THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY! While you can do business in China successfully, you must provide a means (e.g. escrow bank/arbitrator in a western country, or a credit card company)to force delivery of what you ordered, or a means to re-claim your money (e.g. escrow, or credit card).
I know this because I have done business with DHgate myself and if not for protecting myself they would have ripped me off. . The supplier provided through DHgate tried to send me counterfeit memory modules, and then with DHgate's help, tried to prevent me from recouping my money. They failed in the end, but only because my leverage was greater than their ability to delay, etc. DHgate makes the dispute process difficult, arduous, and at time impossible. Remember, they get paid by their suppliers, not by you or me. That's right! Your small order for a hundred items is nothing compared to volume of business one of their counterfeit suppliers can do in a month, quarter, etc. So DHgate answers to their suppliers, not you or me. When you understand where their loyalties lie, you can understand why they don't make a better effort to resolve disputes fairly.
My advise is to do business with reputable suppliers. But obviously that is difficult when your competition is using product from China. While much of it is counterfeit, many retail buyers won't know/care, and even if they do realize the merchandise is counterfeit, it is usually too late. Good luck!"
"DONT SHOP HERE!! YOU WILL NEVER RECEIVE YOUR ITEMS!! THIS WHOLE COMPANY IS BUILT ON SCAMS. I ORDERED SOMETHING THE DAY AFTER CHRISTMAS 2012 FOR $522.00 AND NEVER RECEIVED THE ITEM NOR A REFUND. THEY'VE BEEN GIVING ME THE RUNAROUND FOR THREE MONTHS. MY BANK IS INVESTIGATING THE TRANSACTION AND THEY WON'T REPLY TO THEM NOR REFUND ME.!! THERE IS ONLY A BEIJING NUMBER TO CALL AND THEY DONT EVEN SPEAK ENGLISH! HOW CONVENIENT. FIRST THEY TRIED TO MAKE ME PAY AGAIN TELLING ME I NEVER PAID WHEN I RECEIVED A CONFIRMATION EMAIL SHOWING I DID. I GOT AUTOMATED EMAILS SAYING MY ORDER WAS SHIPPED, BUT THE SELLER KEPT ASKING ME TO PAY AGAIN. IT WASN'T UNTIL I POSTED ON HERE 2 1/2 MONTHS LATER THAT I ACTUALLY GOT A RESPONSE AT ALL. NOW THEY KEEP SENDING ME MORE USELESS EMAILS AND TELLING ME THAT MY REFUND WAS APPLIED 12 DAYS AGO AND THERE ISN'T EVEN A PENDING TRANSACTION SHOWING!! BEWARE. DON'T SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE AND LET EVERYONE YOU KNOW ABOUT THEM SO THEY WON'T BE RIPPED OFF EITHER!!! I WILL TWEET AND POST ON EVERY SOCIAL NETWORK POSSIBLE TO KEEP OTHERS FROM GOING THROUGH THE HELL THEY HAVE AND STILL ARE PUTTING ME THROUGH. AS OF TODAY, THERE IS STILL NO RESOLUTION. THEY'LL SAY "OH IM SORRY YOU'VE NEVER RECEIVED YOUR ORDER..WHAT'S YOUR ORDER NUMBER?" THEY'LL SAY "ESCALATE TO REFUNDS AND DISPUTES AND MEDIATION" AND ALL THAT CRAP MEANS NOTHING!!! ITS JUST A WAY TO KEEP YOU BUSY WHILE THEY IGNORE YOU!! DON'T BE FOOLED. BEWARE!!!"
"They try, but fail miserably. Every item purchased so far has defects. They are most probably re-sellers and distributors of Chinese merchandise that has been rejected by big store buyers. For example, they sell good looking watches, but usually have the following defects: very sharp watch bands (if metal) that can scratch you and make your life miserable to wear. Self winding watches work, but only if you move your wrists every minute. If you work at a computer or if you watch TV or go to sleep, the watch WILL stop. Useless. Name watches like Michael Kors are cheap plastic imitations. USB units do not work but worst of all EVERY ONE OF THEM has SPYWARE AND VIRUSES INSTALLED. "
"If you are thinking about purchasing this dress, BUYER BEWARE! The picture they have is not an accurate representation of what they will make you. I wanted this dress made, having tried it on at David's Bridal and was completely comfortable if it wasn't exactly the same. The website does mention that they can't get the dress 100%, so I was fine with it being 80-90% on mark. The shipping took two weeks, as expected, but when I opened the package it looked like it was someone else's dress. It wasn't even 50% close! I was convinced that there was just some mistake and they accidentally switched dresses during shipping, but during our email conversations, Dhgate claimed it was my fault for not sending them pictures of the exact dress I wanted! Really?! They have the exact picture posted that David's Bridal has on their website. My bad for assuming they could do what they claimed they could do! At this point, I was already knee deep with them and figured I would give them the benefit of the doubt. So I supplied them with all the pictures I had, detailing, etc. of me trying the dress on, so they could make it. They said they could try again if I returned the dress. Another mistake on my part, because they never received the dress! A month later it's now lost, so Im out the money and a dress. It's just sad all the way around. I just wanted it to work out so bad and give them business, but I should have cut all ties at the beginning. I was hoping my experience would be a good one, since there were so many positive experiences posted on here, but mine was just awful. Please, be careful with this seller!"
"I placed an order at DHgate and after almost a month of placing my order they game an excuse that because they were celebrating some chinese festivities, the factory was closed.the seller send a fake tracking # from Fedex,When I got in contac with the seller she told me that she could not send the dress with Fedex after all,and she decided to send with DHL instead,so I got in contact DHL to find out that rhe seller was lying to me.I'm being trying to resolve it with DHgate customer service,I'm still waiting,They promise full refund, but why if they know already that you has been ripped off from one of thir sellers why they still insist that you have to try to solve the problem with some that is not doing honest bussiness. PLEASE,PLEASE do yourself a big favor DON'T EVER order frem DHgate. So"
"Purchased necklaces and received cheap fakes. I'd reveiwed the seller feedbacks and thought I'd have no issue since feedacks were 98,4% positive.
Contacted seller who refused to let me return items but if I placed another order they'd give me some extras no charge. Really?! What a joke. Escalated issue to DHGate, provided photos of product and photos of the proper product which I'd bought from EBay. DHGate advised my evidence was insufficient and gave payment to the seller. Buyer beware.
I'd recomend purchasing samples prior to ordering full lots. Did this with another seller and was very pleased with items and order arrived in a week."
"I ordered a custom sized charcoal grey dress for a formal occasion. When the dress came in it was not only inches bigger with the straps falling off of me, but the color was in a light silver, and option they offer but not what I selected. I opened a dispute right away. The seller kept insisting I should re-sell the dress myself and take a $20 refund from a $90 dress, or give it as a gift. When I was able, I escalated the case to DHgate directly. After sending them pictures of me being measured, pictures of the dress clearly out of an acceptable range (3+ inches in both bust and waist), and a screen shot showing the color I ordered and the color I recieved. DHGate has the nerve to tell me it's expensive to ship it back, so if I want my money in full *I* have to pay for shipping (and as they put it, "be aware that it may get stuck in customs, lost, or damaged/dirty" in which case they won't refund me) or I can take a %50 refund. Clearly they don't give a fig about their customers. Order at your own risk."
"i placed an order of over 300 dlls on dhgate and seller Hhehe888 ripped me off! they never sent me the merchandise and gave me a fake tracking number... at first i didnt report because i was believing the lies that the mail was behind and sorry my friend but all was just a trick so time went by and i couldnt dispute! please be aware also a couple times i have order the merchandise is bad quality and i received the wrong merchandise or not as described!!
i am staying away from buying from dh gate until they help me out with this ripp off seller they selll hello kitty items like shoes and stuff but list them as princess shoes.. Dhgate needs to take care of issues like this and have real buyer protection to ensure clients get what they pay for....
