Dealing with Crucial Technology was an absolute delight. Believe me, I am spreading the word.I am the furthest thing from a computer tech and was very concerned about making this purchase myself. Their online scan of my computer system was right on the money.I received the right parts, delivered on time exactly as I ordered.Crucial's online instructions were easy to understand and made installation a breeze.Purchasing from Crucial is seamless.

I was very dissatisfied with the way my order was handled- so much so that I'd never order from "Crucial" again. I chose my "PayPal" account to pay with which has my US apartment as my delivery address- instead of which "Crucial" chose to send the order to my Canadian address with the result I ended up paying for brokerage+ Canadian Sales tax. On an order of about $48 this ADDED another $19 to the total I paid! I certainly won't buy from them again with their total disregard of my instructions for delivery.

Very fast and accurate. Easy to use. The scanner makes it possible to buy memory effortlessly and without costly mistakes. Good turnaround on orders and have not yet encountered a mistake. Very reasonable on prices. an exceptionally user-friendly business transaction.

Very satisfied with their service. Information I received by using the Crucial memory scan tool was more accurate than what was available on my computer mfgs's website. I phoned Crucial to ask about a couple of options suggested by the scan, and received helpful and courteous help. They did not just try to sell me the max. RAM upgrade possible but advised that a cheaper upgrade would yield approx. the same result, which I later verified by asking other opinions. They were able to access the URL of the scan results which I gave them which made our conversation much simpler and more specific. When I ordered the memory modules, I received them in 4 days even though I selected the 7-14 day free shipping option, and even though they shipped 3/4 of the way across the US. Modules ordered for 3 machines were all correct fits.

Crucial.com offers a truly great, complete online shopping experience.  
 
SERVICE: Not only do they sell a wide range of high quality memory modules for just about any computer you could own (as well as other products I haven't looked into), they have a software program that will analyze your system and let you know what you have installed, what you can buy to improve your computer's performance, and how much that performance will be increased with each module configuration. This analysis has always been spot on in recommending the right type of memory.  
 
WEBSITE: The website is quite clean and easy to use, with the system memory analysis available on the main page. You can create an account to view your purchases, shipping, and tracking information.  
 
PRICE: The prices are quite reasonable and usually lower than what you will find in a retail outlet.  
 
SHIPPING: Shipping was relatively fast (via Fed-Ex International Priority for CAD $13). I placed an order online on Sunday (2008-06-22) afternoon, it shipped on Tuesday and arrived Wednesday morning.  
 
PRODUCT(S): The actual products I received (2 512 MB desktop memory modules) were excellent and worked immediately after they were installed, increasing the performance of the computer greatly, as indicated by the analysis software on the website. They are still working flawlessly after 16-and-a-half months.  
 
CUSTOMER SERVICE: N/A . I have not had to contact customer service with any problems or concerns with this order.  
 
If you want to increase the performance of your computer, head to crucial.com for your memory needs. It will automatically tell you what you need and how performance will be affected. I will be using crucial.com for all of my memory needs.

Crucial has always been a great place to order memory from. They stock nearly all parts and are easy to order from. Their products are top quality. What bugs me about them is their recent adoption of the 'shipping ransom charge'. This is a trick used by the big (bargain) online retailers (like Amazon) where they lure you in with a free shipping statement. However, when you get to checkout, the free shipping option states that it will take an unusally long time to ship your order - it's as if they will hold it for several days to a week and do nothing but make you wait, unless you choose to pay 'extra' for the standard shipping option. This is a cheap, dirty trick to pull on your loyal customers. Shame on Crucial.
