"Worst company I ever did business with. I had to cancel the order. They asked for credit card pre-authorization, signed authorization for the credit card charge, copy of the driver's license of the card holder. I complied on behalf of the cardholder, my daughter. I had agreed to pay an extra charge for 2 day delivery. They kept sending email after email, and ended up not shipping in time. On top of it not to acknowledge that I asked them to cancel the order they sent me an email saying that they decided to cancel it because they could not talk to the card holder. They should not be in Internet Commerce."

“Sometimes we do require additional information on orders to protect the credit card holder from fraudulent activity. Because your order was on hold, waiting for additional information; you were sent one automatic email on Saturday and one automatic email on Sunday because our offices are closed on the weekend. In this particular case the order was placed in Spain, the billing address was in VT, shipping to NY and the cardholder’s ID from CA. We were not able to speak to the cardholder, nor verify any of the information provided with the order. Because of this, the order was canceled to protect the registered cardholder of the account as well as ourselves.”

"During the last three months, I changed 4 merchants who assured me to have in stock the Samsung monitor that I was looking for. Each time they lied to me about the availability of the item and I had to cancel my order. I strongly believe there should be a system to inform consumers about dishonest merchants who tell us lies and waste our time.
When Cost Central confirmed to have my item available, I was very skeptical and did not believe them. But I still ordered to be at least in a waiting list. Two days later, when they told me my monitor was shipped (free shipping), I still didn’t believe them (even with a tracking number!). Four days later when the monitor arrived, I thought I was dreaming!
I highly recommend Cost Central. Not only they keep their promise, they also have better pricing than many others, and they treat you like professionals.

"Not recommended. This is the first online store in my 10-year history of online purchases to ever require a physical copy of the front and back of a credit card, AND driver's license, faxed to them before they would complete the order. There is no way I would provide hard copy information of this type to anyone - it's an instant invitation to identity theft. This in itself makes me very suspicious of this company. I ordered a notebook computer for next-day delivery; evidently this company is hyper paranoid about supposedly fradulent purchases of this type. In any case, the total price including next-day shipping for this company is actually only $16 less than a similar order from NewEgg - a reliable, sterling online company that has NEVER required the kind of intrusive hard copy information that CostCentral tried to force. NewEgg's next-day FedEx shipping cost: $29. CostCentral's: $77! Kind of lets you know where the profit center for CostCentral really is. "

"Good experience. Order went thru quickly, price couldn't be beaten, and delivery with the free ground shipping option took less than a week. This was our second purchase for printing supplies for our Xerox Phaser 7400, and we would return here again for future needs. "

"Watch out these people LIE on the telephone. I went to order a Mac mini computer and the online inventory showed 25 in stock. I called the order desk and placed the order. I was told by the sales rep that they were in stock. Two days later they say they can no longer get them. I will NEVER do business with these liars!"

"Horrible service, DO NOT COUNT ON THIS COMPANY.

I made an urgent 2nd-day air order to reach my colleague's address in NY before he flies out. The sales rep was delightful and assured me it would be fine. BUT... many hours later I got a call saying there's a problem with the order, which quickly turned to a totally rude and unprofessional "fraud supervisor" Mary saying they will not process my order and hanging up the phone on me. They stated such obscure reasons as my phone being in CO (it is not...)

I called back, trying to work around that obnoxious Mary.. They wasted nearly 2 hours of my time verifying all sorts of information, all of which I went to all the effort of providing them.

Finally, they still said they won't process the order, which I am quite certain is because it became too late in the day for them to ship it a 2-day air, and they'd have to incur about $50 extra shipping charge for sending it overnight so that it gets there on time. SHAME ON YOU!!

I have shopped in countless stores before and never seen such horrendous service.

I'll never deal with this company again, and I highly recommend you keep away from it too. Occasionally you could get lucky with them I guess, but once something goes slightly wrong you can expect much agony."

“Actually you were shipping to a Hotel in NY with a credit card from California with multiple names and a telephone number based in Colorado.

When we explained to you that we were not able to verify any of this information (for fraud prevention purposes) and that we could not ship to a Hotel for these reasons, you then provided a different shipping address that was a concierge service for package pickup.

When someone from our processing department explained this, you asked to speak with a supervisor who explained why we could not process your order. At no time was anyone on our staff rude to you or hung up on you.

"Cost Central is one of the easiest companies to order from. The website is layed out so ordering is easy. The prices can not be beat. Believe me, I looked. Shipping is quick, billing always accurate. I have never had a problem with any of my orders in the past two years."

"I ordered a sony laptop on 12/17/08 and they charged my CC same day. They failed to ship the order even after 6 days. When I contacted on 12/19/08, I was told about warehouse problem and will be shipped by 12/23. When I contacted on 12/24, the were singing the same song and even not offering any regrets for the delay. I cancelled the order. I have been buying online since 2002 and made big purchases like plasma/LCD TVs, this is the first time I had this bitter experience. All others charged my CC on the day they shipped my item. These people are different and I never recommend them to anybody. BEWARE!!!"
